Milargo Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 (edited) How about Code Lyoko! Bad jokes and references aside. I'd absolutely love a Hogan's Heroes or Armored Core set line! Edited April 5, 2011 by Milargo Quote
Solscud007 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Dream licenses? Macross/Robotech. With the news of WB in production (just working out pre-production only now) I hope we get Robotech Legos. (I prefer Macross but Im not picky if it gets made) GI Joe legos. Who wouldnt want a Cobra Terror Drome made of legos? This license would be very vehicle based. which seems to do well for Lego. However make it the classic style Gi Joes not the movie. TR3N. I know they missed the boat with Tron Legacy. So hoping they make Tron Lego game and Tron Lego sets for Tron 3. Star Trek Legos Voltron would be nice but I dont see too many sets being made. The castle, the 5 lions (which you buy in bundled sets and then when you have them all, they can combine) I would like to see transformers but it seems the new Kre-O sets might not be too bad. D&D! We MUST have a D&D line! We already do. You get a piece of paper. Right down your stats and IMAGINE your lego D&D minifigs and sets. Just like real D&D haha Quote
Fives Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 How come people are making suggestions for adults not children again, meh.....Survivor ? More like Total Drama Island would be better, but it depends on worldwide popularity for a series or film to give Lego cause to produce sets. Think a little like when you were ten, what would a ten year old be interested in ? Keep on suggesting ! That's funny, when I was ten I was gonig all ape $#%! over Lord of the Rings! Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 That's funny, when I was ten I was gonig all ape $#%! over Lord of the Rings! That makes one ! Only kidding......anyway, if Robotech is making a comeback with WB, good old Time Warner...a movie - sets quite likely, though a tv series....maybe but less likely. Where did 'Solscud007' hear but that rumour ? Anyway, keep on suggesting ! Quote
sok117 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Beavis & Butthead, anyone? uh, no. There was a guy on this forum a while ago who had a name awfully similar to yours, and he got banned for spamming the forum, coincidence? Quote
brickmack Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Doctor Who. Too bad LEGO probably will never make it because it isn't very popular outside of Britain (Or so they say, I know at least 10 people IRL that watch Doctor Who, and 3 of those people also watch the spin-offs like Torchwood. This is one of the few major things the I disagree with LEGO about.) Quote

mobricki Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Lord of the Rings would be awesome! They got the new hockey players and baseball player minifigs so why not NHL and MLB licenses I would love to put my favorite local team in my lego town it's already been done partially with soccer and basketball so why not hockey and baseball. Avatar would be a popular theme as well. It's already been mentioned numerous times but Assassin's Creed would be a great theme especially since they could just use the Prince of Persia color scheme. J4ke Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I get that the whole LOTR-is-too-violent-for-the-chiddlers thing is accurate, but how about The Hobbit? You get Dwarfs and Elves and Men and Orcs/Goblins and Hobbitses and giant spiders and a dragon. What more do you need? And then the AFOLs can use the figs and pieces to make LOTR mocs. Win-win. Quote

They sold licenses out for WB to make a Robotech movie. Supposedly Tobey Macguire is producing it and plans to star in it. Quote
Connect-A-Owen4000 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Would anyome like a LEGO Transformers idea? Quote

My goodness....a good friend of mine is a Robotech nut case (also Transformers, etc., nut case too) he flip out when I tell him what might be happening. Now someone suggested Doctor Who, another toy maker is doing a brick-built range and Transformers, Haspro with their new construction brick range. Oh dear ! Now I'll make a suggestion.....Knight Rider, though a guess we would need a film or new TV series to give it a push along.....Go the Hoff ! Keep on suggesting ! Quote

It is Dwarves, actually... If they got a license for the new Hobbit movie, why not do the same thing they did with the Indy line: release a few sets based on the previous films (in this case, LOTR), and then at the time of release for the new film (Hobbit) release the new sets based just on that film. I thought that the way TLG released the Indy line was their best release tactic, because it didn't give anything away from the film until the movie came out. As for the case of the new POTC line, I think that with them releasing On Stranger Tides sets a month before the film is out, it gives away too many spoilers. I would have preferred a less number of sets, but all based on the first three films, released in April, and then a bunch more based on the new one released with the film in May. But, this is getting off topic... Edited April 6, 2011 by Fives Quote
Omicron Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Would anyome like a LEGO Transformers idea? That is actually one license that won't ever happen. Since Hasbro -owns- Transformers and that already are marketing their own building line of Transformers toys. -Omi Quote
J4ke Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Dwarfs/dwarves, potatos/potatos. Can't tell if you're a Tolkien fan or just fussy, but whatever. Quote
Fives Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Dwarfs/dwarves, potatos/potatos. Can't tell if you're a Tolkien fan or just fussy, but whatever. I am a Tolkien fan. My avatar is flippin Smeagol! I think if they made LOTR sets, they would need to print on the small legs little feet and toes. Without it it wouldn't really look right. Another thing they could do would be use the tall legs from Toy Story for the human size characters, normal LEGO legs for Dwarves, and the small legs for Hobbits. Just an idea... Quote
J4ke Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 That'd screw everything up. Humans and elves have regular feet, hobbits and dwarves get small feet. Since dwarves will get extra height from the beards and helmets, I don't see that it's a big deal. And your avatar may be LOTR, but your name is from SW:TCW, which made me think younger kid. Quote

I was eight when the first Peter Jackson film came out. I read the books after I saw the films and know that the books are way better. But, I am and always will be a Star Wars fan first and foremost. And the reason I like the CW is because I am the type of SW fan who loves everything created by George Lucas. But this is off topic... I also would like to see sets based on Avatar, as mentioned above. I guess the legs thing wouldn't work for LOTR, but it would be a great way to create the Na'vi (I thik that is what they are called). I could see one set being Jake in his Avatar form fighting Quaritch in his big mech suit. Also, this theme could bring wheelchairs into the LEGO world. Quote
Solscud007 Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 that could change though since megabloks owned transformers a few years back.. not quite. They purchased the license for transformers to make crappy lego like toys. Hasbro is going in the direction of Kreo Quote

The minifigures would be absolutely fantastic, and all the greenery and plantlife would be brilliant. It would also attract people who are interested in military and mecha, seeing as it has the army with all their robots and such. If there's a second film, I think there's a chance of us getting an Avatar theme. My brother who's 6 and my sister who's 8 both loved it, so I know it's something both kids and adults are interested in. I would also love a Doctor Who theme. Think of all the brilliant alien minifigures, the buildings, the spaceships, the robots and hopefully all those beautiful female assistant minifigures! I'm not a big fan of the series myself, but I've seen a few episodes and I'm sure if it was made into LEGO I'd be buying a lot of the sets. Quote
airsoftg36c Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 (edited) Dwarfs/dwarves, potatos/potatos. Can't tell if you're a Tolkien fan or just fussy, but whatever. Actually, I'm both lol. And I'm gonna clear up the horrific spelling in the above quote. DWARF is the singular form, and DWARVES is the plural form. There are no female dwarfs. POTATOSis incorrect. It should be POTATOES(The plural form.) The singular form of POTATOES is POTATO I think the Hobbit would be an excellent idea, but even if TLG doesn't make a LOTR line, it would be AWESOEME if they could make a LOTR battle-pack line! Those transforming robot toys by Mega Bloks were called Transforming Blok Bots, which is like Transformers. I wonder why no one reviews those toys on YouTube. Quote
