Ceroknight Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Those transforming robot toys by Mega Bloks were called Transforming Blok Bots, which is like Transformers. I wonder why no one reviews those toys on YouTube. whoops the ones I meant were actually from Hasbro, I always thought they were Mega Blok.. Here's what they look like: Clicker Quote
Vindicare Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 (edited) I would love an Avatar theme! The minifigures would be absolutely fantastic, and all the greenery and plantlife would be brilliant. It would also attract people who are interested in military and mecha, seeing as it has the army with all their robots and such. If there's a second film, I think there's a chance of us getting an Avatar theme. My brother who's 6 and my sister who's 8 both loved it, so I know it's something both kids and adults are interested in. I would also love a Doctor Who theme. Think of all the brilliant alien minifigures, the buildings, the spaceships, the robots and hopefully all those beautiful female assistant minifigures! I'm not a big fan of the series myself, but I've seen a few episodes and I'm sure if it was made into LEGO I'd be buying a lot of the sets. I'm pretty sure there's going to be 3 movies. Not 100% sure, but I thought I heard that somewhere. Edited April 8, 2011 by Legocrazy81 Quote
Connect-A-Owen4000 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Men In Black, anyone? I heard there is a new movie called Men In Black 3. It won't come out until the Summer of 2012. Quote
Fives Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 I'm pretty sure there's going to be 3 movies. Not 100% sure, but I thought I heard that somewhere. Ya, I heard something like that too. I heard one was going to be in outer space and one was gonna be under water. Quote
Gregorovich Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Ya, I heard something like that too. I heard one was going to be in outer space and one was gonna be under water. Sounds interesting! If they are making these, I'm really looking forward to the underwater one. Imagine the creatures and plants they'd make! Quote
Plissken Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 I also think that Camerons Avatar would be perfect for some awesome sets (mostly creatures and vehicles). For another dream license I would like to see Hellboy. Two motion pictures, two animated films and a wide array of comic stories would make some great possibilities for (environmet) sets. So lets hope they made a third film Quote
Connect-A-Owen4000 Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Don't any of you think they should do LEGO Beavis & Butthead? Quote
Diaaabo Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 LEGO Asterix and LOTR would make me a very happy AFOL. I have my doubts about the connection between Asterix and the USA market, although I think it would be profitable in Europe. Quote

KotZ Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 For me, I know these will never happen, but I would love a Tom Clancy line, especially for Rainbow Six, as they are (hopefully) planning a movie, and a new game is due to come out next year. But this would be way to violent of a series to make for kids. Another one for me that is wishful thinking would be a Scot Harvath line from Brad Thor's books. There would be great locations and the figures would look beautiful, but alas, it is too violent of a theme. Quote
Lilsniffs Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Some form of theme park, like Walt Disney World or Universal. Or even Six Flags, but preferably WDW, as WDW doesn't just have rollercoasters. A set based on Fantasmic (a live show in WDW) would make my brain implode of how great it would be. Quote
Connect-A-Owen4000 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 No. Why don't YOU agree on my LEGO Beavis & Butthead line? I discovered on Wikipedia that Beavis & Butthead will come back to MTV in the Summer of 2011. Quote

That's why it will never come out in Lego, some kids are worse than Beavis & Butthead....now if you want something silly as well as insane.....Chowder ! Keep on suggesting ! Lets hope that that NEVER comes out as a LEGO theme! And towards the Beavis and Butthead idea, that would never happen. I just don't think LEGO would see that as being child friendly enough. I know that AFOLS would like it (some would), but kids wouldn't. They are more likely to want themes with action and stuff, not two guys making dirty jokes. It just wouldn't sell. Quote
Tazmaniac Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) Great to see others on the Asterix bandwagon, He is well love here in Australia as well as Europe and I'm sure the world over.... an ageless classic!! "those Romans are crazy" Edited April 10, 2011 by TazManiac Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Gee, I wonder who the original target group of this product is the over 20's or under 15's....hmm, lets see.....I know the answer KIDS and KID's prefer kid stuff....i.e. Spongebob and Clone Wars ! Since when is Lego going to make a theme based purely on AFOL's suggestions involving rude suggestions, etc., gee.....I freaked out when my son told me his grandparents let him watch American Dad. The last thing parents need is a toy theme that will give them any more grey hairs and turning kids into Stewie from Family Guy ! Basing sets on popular kids cartoons (note the word kids)would work well where the humour is still adult but less direct....i.e. double meanings, the classic trick with Bugs Bunny cartoons and Maxx Brothers films.....kids hear something funny, grownups hear something very funny and cheeky too ! Keep on suggesting ! Quote
Fives Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 James Bond would be cool Now there's an idea! That would be great. Car chases, bazookas and bad guys with sunglasses! It would be a great substitute for the agents theme, which was pretty much LEGO's sad attempt at homemade 007. If they made this theme, they would need to make new weapon molds (maybe) and that would make a lot of people happy. And some of those cars would look sweet and have great play features, such as missiles (flick-fires ) in the front of the car. Also, we would get lots of great female figs! Overall, this could be one of TLG's best licenses if they got it, cause kids love the action, and parents love the movies... and the action! Quote

Vindicare Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 James Bond would be cool That would be cool! I would like to see a brick built Gundam Wing line. They could also incorporate minifigs as the pilots. I say Wing, because that's my favorite series of the Gundam lineup. Quote

Count me and my other half in, we're big Asterix fans :D Just imagine the Gaul hairpieces, Lego boars (both alive and as a roast :D), lovely Breton architecture, and oh my goodness, all the ROMANS at last!!! :D Quote
Solscud007 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 (edited) MegaBlocks did it Just like "the Simpsons did it" But AFOL do it better!! Holy crap that GP-01 looks amazing. I love Gundam 0083: Stardust Memories. Wing is garbage compared to some of the UC series stuff. Anyway Im on board for James bond that would be very cool. However I dont know if there is a tie in. There arent really any movies that kids can enjoy and tie in the sale of sets and a video game. They kind of missed the boat with the new ones, in terms of tying the movie to sell toys. I mean I can imagine playing a Lego classic James Bond video game. Not so much killing, but having to go thru Octopussy's underwater lair and Moonraker levels and all the other moveis, It would be a great game. Plus the toys would be cool. They did make Indiana Jones for AFOLs why not James Bond? I realize going back to the movie tie in factor that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a great vehicle to introduce Indiana Jones to kids. Lego needs something like that for James Bond to really sell. But it cant be half measures, they have to make all out sets. Ooh they could make the little Nellie helicopter. It would be quite easy almost like a creator set. They should have the famous white lotus that transforms into a submarine, and of course something that looks like an Austin Martin. They could easily make a Moonraker shuttle or space set. Goldeneye could easily be the Golden Eye station also add a Tank for good measure. Octopussy underwater lair with scuba diving Bond!!! In line with the Asterix toys, I recognize it as being wildly popular outside of the US however it is not that big for us in the States. However a good toy possibility, at least in my mind, would be TinTin. After all there is a live action 3D CG movie in the works right now with Speilberg and Jackson partnering to make it. I have read TinTin as a kid and I would like to see that as lego sets. Edited April 11, 2011 by Solscud007 Quote
