Big Cam Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 LEGO should do the WRC, lots of Rally caars they could make. The fig's wouldn't be that spectacular but the Ferrari ones aren't either. I just love Rally Racing Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Just watched 'Tron Legacy' trailler, hello Racers ! hello new sci fi theme along the lines of Agents and Space Police 3. As to Battlestar Galactica would be great since there are plans for a feature film based more around the 1979 series than the 2004 series. Inline with that sci fi, maybe a classic series of sets from popular tv shows, like Buck Rogers, Space 1999, Doctor Who and of course The Thundebirds. Who would not want a minifig scale Thunderbird 2 ? Quote
GI blockage Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 My vote: Twilight. I don't like the movie. I haven't read the books. But I think it is a brilliant idea, because: 1) apparently, the whole Twilight thing is huge. 2) vampire minifigs. I would buy any set with vampire minifigs. 3) my girlfriend, for one, would buy any set to do with Twilight. Alongside a POTC Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom, she may even blossom into an AFOL.. 4) TLC may gain a new target market, and the gender ratio in these forums might start to even out. that's my two cents. THe thing is is the vampires look like normal people so I don't think the figs would be too special, plus I don't see alot of set designs available, like buildings or vehicles. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Reading the General News section of our beloved Eurobricks, it has been quoted in the Sydney Morning Herald - THE STIG as a minifig ! I have sent an email to Lego and Top Gear to find out as much as I can. Who would not want Top Gear Lego ? The Stig would become one of the most popular items in the Lego catalogue. All kids, little and big would want him to tear around their city in a sports car, truck, or whatever ! Also an idea would be the three hosts on a TV program set with cameras, etc., well Lego has never done that before. Only a few town sets of outside broadcast vehicles or the like have been made. Quote
danim Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 A Top Gear Set would be amazing and I would defentetly buy it A theme which was suggested by a friend of mine today is a 7 wonders of the world theme The theme would have minifig scale sets of all 7 wonders of the world Quote
Enigma-85 Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 For the last ten years or so I've had the notion that the old space simulation game Starlancer would have great LEGO possibilities, with all the fighters, carriers, asteroid bases and whatnot, but... the strike carriers in that game were portrayed as being huge, and making them on the System scale, with minifigs in the cockpits of the fighters and all that, would either go the way of the Star Wars Star Destroyer sets (i.e. completely out-of-scale), or would be prohibitively expensive even for the die hards. I might attempt the ANS Reliant myself once I've rebuilt my LEGO collection a little. Failing that, of course, Back to the Future is a good 'un. The DeLorian would become a must-have set instantly, and there are plenty of other sets to be made from that trilogy. It also fits in with LEGO's 'non-violent' preference. And if Star Wars gets the LEGO treatment, why not Star Trek? Presumably 'cause the Enterprise is too structurally unsound to make a large LEGO model out of... Quote

Elander Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 (edited) Quentin Tarantino movies!!Reservoir Dogs Pulp Fiction Jackie Brown Kill Bill (Vol. 1 & 2) Death Proof Inglorious Basterds Those sets would have some badass minifigs! I believe this themes are more for the elderly. Relevant to this themes I have a new idea! LEGO have started a new "Minifigure Collector"-line. Here we have for example Robin Hood, a clown, astronaut and so forth.... I think relevant to this line can LEGO to start a "Hollywood"-line with license characters from this movies. And here is enough place for all minifigures regarding your dream license. I believe here finds LEGO a new market. What do you think? Edited February 15, 2010 by Elander Quote
CDC Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Serial killers license.-Lots of sets with differend serial killers like: Ed Gein, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Zodiak killer, Jack the Ripper and others Hehe, this would be my dream LEGO license too. Quote
LegoDad42 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 (edited) I would LOVE a Stargate theme. I've always wanted to see Marvel Universe characters. Galactus and Galactus' ship would be tops on my list, as well as Xmen's Mansion with a Danger Room. Also, I've been craving a Lord of the Rings Lego for awhile now. I wanted sets like Helm's Deep, Mount Doom, the Corsair ships...man, just about every ediface and scene for LoTR I'd buy. Edited February 16, 2010 by LegoDad42 Quote
Trexxen Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I'm sure someone's already posted it (hell, I may have at some point in the past XD), but I'd like to see a Warcraft license. (In general, my examples will likely be more geared to World Of Warcraft, but still.) Some general ideas on sets: -Alliance Battle Pack (Human, Night Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, Draenei, and Worgen figures; a couple of mounts [Horse and maybe a buildable Mechanostrider?] and customizable armor sets for each class; about $20) -Horde Battle Pack (Orc, Troll, Forsaken/Undead, Tauren, Blood Elf, and Goblin figures; mounts [in this case, probably a Raptor and whatever the Goblin's mount will be, since I imagine it would be nice and mechanical too], and customizable armor sets for each class; again, about $20) -Small set ideas: Market stalls, City Gates, Mekgineer's Chopper -Medium set ideas: Blood Elf Outpost, Profession Shops (Like the Alchemy shop in Orgrimmar), perhaps a Dungeon boss room? -Large set ideas: Nerubian Ziggurat (perhaps a midi-scale Naxxramas?), Onyxia's Lair -Giant/UCS/Exclusive set ideas: Stormwind/Orgrimmar/Dalaran (small portions of course, like perhaps Stormwind Harbor, or Grommash Hold, or Runeweaver Square); The Frozen Throne (large open-roofed area; one section being the room where Frostmourne is located while the other being the actual Throne itself, with Arthas/The Lich King) Of course, that's just my nerdy side speaking. =D ~Trexxen Quote
Ogel Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 LEGO The Lord of the Rings (plus the Hobbit) would be the best. There's just so much possiblity for sets! Quote
Disturbia Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) Serial killers license.-Lots of sets with differend serial killers like: Ed Gein, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Zodiak killer, Jack the Ripper and others o_O Why would anyone buy sets with such evil people? Anyway, I'd love a Halo theme, but that's been extensively mentioned in this topic, so I'm going to post another awesome idea. Sets from the Orange Box - i.e Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal. I have some ideas of sets too; Half-Life 2 (and Episodes 1 & 2) Canal Showdown -Includes the Hunter-Chopper and the Airboat from the level "Water Hazard" -Includes Gordon Freeman, a scanner and 4 Civil Protection cops (one is a pilot) Brawl in the White Forest -Includes a Strider, DOG and some forest scenery -Includes Gordon Freeman and Alyx Combine Gunship -Includes the Combine Gunship -Includes 4 Combine soldiers and a Hunter Sewer Patrol -Includes sewer scenery, a barrel, Headcrab pod and two Barnacles -Includes Gordon Freeman, 4 Headcrabs and a CP cop Antlion Hives -Includes hive scenery, Antlions grubs and lots of Antlions -Includes Gordon Freeman Advisor Arrival -Includes barn scenery and an Advisor -Includes Eli, Gordon Freeman and Alyx Team Fortress 2 Red Team Battlepack -Includes one of each class and a fully upgraded sentry turret (along with tons of other accessories) Blue Team Battlepack -same as above, but of the blues Portal GLaDOS -Includes GLaDOS, incinerator, control panel, stairway, cores, Rocket sentry and Chell (perhaps the cake too for good measure) Turret Standoff -Includes Chell, companion cube, storage cube, 4 Turrets, door, big red button and energy ball Edited February 19, 2010 by Disturbia Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Wouldn't anybody want Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd - Rabbit season, Duck season, Rabbit season....... I think I've said it before, but come on Lego something nutty and fun like Bugs & Daffy ! I'm a conformist! !!!! Quote
sok117 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Uhhh, G.I. JOE license, But not sets from that piece of crap movie. I'm talking old school TV show. Think about all the great minifigures, and some really cool vehicles. Just think of all the nice figs and militaryesque pieces. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 My top dream licensed theme would be not from one single licensed property, but from a series of them under one umbrella theme, a sort of "classic cinema" theme. I don't know what it would be called, but the unifying idea would be that all of the sets would be taken from vintage classic black-and-white films - and the sets would be in monochrome, with all the bricks being only white, black, and various shades of grey, with occasional silver and/or chrome elements, reflecting the photography of the movies. Some set ideas: Frankenstein's castle / laboratory from Frankenstein and The Bride of Frankenstein Rick's Café Américain from Casablanca Xanadu from Citizen Kane Klaatu's saucer landing site from The Day the Earth Stood Still ... and so on.
