Iperial_Fleet_Commander Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 I was inspired by Palleon and ScottishDave's Midi scale super star destroyer "Executor" (That and my fascination with the old EU) to make a Eclipse Class Star Dreadnought to scale with it. But first some background on it. In circa 10 ABY, the Emperor was reborn into a clone body. he went to Kuat, and commanded the first and only Eclipse Class Star Dreadnought. It was 17.5 kilometers and had 6 engines. It could fire an axial superlaser, similar to the one located on the death star. It had 10 gravity well projectors, and 500 turbolasers, as well as a complement of 600 TIE interceptors and 96 TIE bombers. Now for the calculations. The midi-scale super star destroyer is 70 studs long, 19 kilometers/70= 271 meters for every stud. the Eclipse is 17.5 kilometers/271=64 studs. so now we know how long it needs to be. I will be making it in LDD and will post pictures on this thread. Quote
ProvenceTristram Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 The Eclipse was the big black EU one, right? If so, good luck on the lower hull. That curvature makes a real-world battleship look easy. Quote

Yeah, I started the LDD file earlier, and the front curve is the easiest part! I'm having trouble lining up the lower hull with the middle line and hangar. Any you are thinking of the right one, not the new Lego one from the freemaker adventures. Quote
gotoAndLego Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 (edited) Midi doesn't have a specific scale. Lego released a midi Star Destroyer but that Executor is not to scale with it. If Lego's scale were accurate then the official UCS set would have been larger. If anything you should build you're in scale with line with Lego's midi SD set. broomhandle Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Can't wait to see pics. I love midi scale, cheaper to build, and takes up less space... and as for scale... haha. Ucs executor would be massive... and the mini fig malevolence... Quote

Well, I don't have the time or money to build that. :P Plus, that scale would be huge. Even the lego executor isn't to scale with that, as far as I'm aware. Quote
