Is it not more likely whoever created it simply threw in some mock ups of confirmed figures to add credibility?

Could be but Delta also said that he had a picture of the figures but couldn't post it due to the fact that it was related to something bigger... what if he meant that the pictures showcasing the CMF line also included minifigures that were going to be in the regular sets? And he couldn't post it due to the fact that it was an early picture like CM4Sci speculated and would put his source (obviously someone deep within Lego) at risk of getting exposed...

Also one more speculation and then I will rest my case, what if the figures that are slightly angled are part of the CMF line (or dimensions) (explaining the batsuits as I don't see them coming in any of the regular sets) and the figures that are looking straight at you (like Harleen, Arkham Joker and Boxing Batman) are part of the regular sets...

Now I know that we are not to discuss the leaked image of the minifigures anymore but I must talk about an observation that I have made. The Excalibur Batman in the leaked image is the exact same as the Batman figure that we are getting in the dimensions pack even the sword is identical, several other figures like for example Harleen Quinzel and Joker in jumpsuit are also figures which we know for a fact that we are getting in the Asylum set and boxing batman suit in the batcave set etc. So my idea is basically this; what if the leaked image does not portray (or not entirely atleast) the minifigures from the CMF but just from all the sets in general?

Mind blown! ???

Here is my stance on the alleged CMF picture:

I think it's real. I think that it's a very very early, in-house preliminary design shown exclusively to some people, which is why it has an old logo and figures that we've seen

Because it is unfinished and very early, some figures have changed since then. I think about 80% of these figures are in the actual series (the new ones) and the ones that we have seen already were originally going to be in the series, but have since then been put into other sets instead.

Things like Excalibat's belt are not in LDD (yet) so I think they used some sort of advanced LDD to make some of the pictures while the rest at the time were only sketchups. Also, Red Hood looks like he uses Mr. Freeze's helmet (which I think is clever) so that's another reason why.

So basically I think yes, it's legitimate, but at the time this was a super early, unfinished, private photo.

Yeah and then they moved some around. Maybe it was created about 7 months ago and someone only leaked it now.

The speculation in this thread is getting more intense than Tom Hanks' in a Dan Brown adaptation.

I'd say that we are only discussing a picture that is rumoured to show figures that will appear in the upcoming sets. Remember none of the official sources have stated with absolute certainty that the leaked image is false so until it has been proven so I think that we should treat it as being legit and therefor we should be eligible to discuss it.

Maybe our minds might wander a bit but that's only a good thing right, just means that we are all looking forward to the sets :)

I'm not complaining, don't get me wrong. I'm actually complimenting the level of thought I'm seeing in everyone's speculation. Kudos. :)

What do you mean?

Looks normal to me

The face, it's all smudged and grainy on the edges. Plus those random grey lines. It's just one figure. . just felt like pointing it out!

I think it's on purpuse. That's the clown make up.

It's something like the Heath Ledger Joker

To me, it looks like the Jokers makeup is supposed to be marker.

I think you're right, it looks a lot like colored marker. Which, given that this is the same universe as TLM, that actually makes quite a bit of sense.

It is most certainly a defect. The lines on the face should be much more crisp, as shown on the figures showcased at Comic con. The grey lines are supposed to be there but otherwise the face should look like the one i've displayed as my profile picture.

I honestly don't think it is misprinted, it's supposed to look shoddy and asymmetrical because Joker has drawn his own face on.

It's supposed to look like this. As you can see the lines are much thinner and the eyebrows are a single, block colour. Ergo, it's misprinted due to some sort of abberation.

I'm still in the marker group. It makes sense in the Lego universe. That said, I wish they went ahead with a more classic Joker instead of ussing stuff from different Jokers.

-eyebrows shine through, reminds me of Cesar Romero's mustache paint.

-keychain, reminds me of Heath Ledgers's

-Tats - Letoker

So far the figures of these sets have been really hit or miss for me... The Joker I just don't like at all. Still the good thing about Lego is that you can swap out pieces until you've got the figure that you want which is exactly what I'll be doing.

Gotta agree on the Joker, hate his design. Not so much his print, but his face is atrocious.

Indeed, his face is off-putting and not in the pleasant way that it should be (ironic really) His suit would be ok if not for the little skulls that are on the tie and function as buttons...

Yea I second this. And he ain't the only one with an awful face print, honestly if you look at Poison Ivy or the Riddler they too have laughable bad face prints.

It's quite funny when they put so much detail on the torso and legs but not in the face of the character.
