Sickbricks02 Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 What is number 3 of the batmobile supposed to be? A water vehicle? Quote
julesvincent Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 (edited) @fordtruckin My two kids are also into Lego, especially Lego Batman, so this wave is a must! I'm into DC, CMF's and architecture. I wish the sets were already available in Germany! Edited November 12, 2016 by julesvincent Quote

Pablo94 Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Do we know if Clayface is the only build included in the Clayface set? And what price is it? Quote
Slink00 Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 2 hours ago, Cobb said: These sets are mostly very dissapointing. Not my Batman! Same here. Scarecrow set is hilariously bad. Nothing to do with Batman at all. I couldn't be less excited to put the three set pieces together, they don't even look like they match, and the entrance is clumsily put on the front. I love Mr Freeze's face but apart from that I hate that set. The mech is too skinny for me. I may get the Clayface, as long as I can replace that stud-shooter for a hand and change that fugly expression. As for the size I think it is just as big as the one seen in the trailers, maybe the image doesn't do it justice. Don't mind the short legs. I may get the balloon escape too, just to have Batman and the Joker. The balloon build is pretty cool too in my opinion. May pick up the lowrider too. Seems cool. Maybe without the figs on Amazon/eBay... Quote
Slink00 Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 (edited) Bat mobile I love, but too expensive for me, same with the Scuttler, now that is an amazing build. Batcave is terrible. I hate it. It seems blocky and poorly put together. Waste of figures with the suits. Love Alfred though. Arkham made me really disappointed. There's no need for all those extra little bits like the melon and milk and chairs etc! It's a waste of parts and since when would anyone have fresh melon and milk in prison?! The build itself is again too blocky. I hate the rounded roof on the top, and the way the windows on the sides and the guard tower (which would have been ace in full size) are small to make the whole thing seem bigger. I bet the Arkham we see in the film will be enormous. I'm excited to see it in film version. It doesn't look like there's actually any cells either apart from the separate one. Where do you put all those jumpsuit figures? There is no Arkham gate either. Disappointing. Only good things in the set for me are Arron Cash with the cop car and those Arkham jumpsuits. In my opinion these sets don't come close to the quality of the Lego Movie sets. They're not thought out and it feels like the designers just plucked random scenes from the film. These are just too childish for me. Batman deserves better! Edited November 12, 2016 by Slink00 Quote
Sickbricks02 Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 (edited) @fordtruckin can you post a picture of the new mr freeze head on the 2013 body? Edited November 12, 2016 by Sickbricks02 Quote
Robianco Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Seriously though. The Batman in the Lego movie is a cartoon character of a comic book character. Throwing several Batarangs at a lever before finally hitting it and then proclaiming 'First time!' like nobody noticed how crap his aim was? Dumping his girlfriend to jump on a spaceship and try and chat up a gold girl only to find out it was male droid? At which point is the Batman in the Lego movie or this one ever close to another Batman? This is, after all, toy for children based on a film... for children. Quote
Only Sinner Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 LEGO and Batman go great together. I don't care how childish it is, or what because I'm going to love it anyway. I'm going to get the video game, the movie when it comes out, an every official LEGO Batman movie set! I'm also going to have to pay for my whole family to see the movie at least once, probably more! It's not the Batman from Killing Joke or Dark Knight Returns. I love it as it is. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted November 12, 2016 Author Posted November 12, 2016 @fordtruckin Could you please share an image of the new Joker hairpiece on the previous Joker minifigure? Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Alright you've convinced me even more to get the Joker set. Hopefully I get it today! Quote
Nerd-with-a-Pencil Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 The best part of this is I can now own the entirety of Riddler's team from LEGO Batman 1, which was basically my childhood. Quote

But the designs of most figures in this series are WAAAY different. They just don't fit well with other older figs we got. And some of the builds look straight from the 80's or 90's. The Arkham set.. 8BrickMario Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 I like Clayface. I think brick-built was the only way to achieve the right size, and the studs are clearly a stylistic choice to make him look more earthy. Personally, I don't like the trailer shot as much as the set/ Pizza Scarecrow is disappointing, but I love the monster pizza! Quote

TenorPenny Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Some of you guys make me laugh. Like... nothing positive to say about anything and yet you persist to hang around a hobby that seemingly consistently disappoints you. lulz. For the record, the Clayface is pretty bang on to the trailer so if you don't like the dude in the film. Especially given TLG don't give their designers unlimited funds and resources to design a 20 dollar/pounds sterling set. Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Clayface is $40 pretty sure. I think the set would've been better with a small facade or a lamp post at least. Quote
GeekByKnight Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Just saw a redesign over on reddit that looks like a WAY better version of clayface. Quote

Let's just be thankful we're getting a lot of Batman sets. If you don't like the sets then don't buy them or better yet, create your own haha Quote

The Batcave, Scuttler, Mr. Freeze, and Scarecrow sets are really cool. Arkham, the Batmobile, and Joker's Lowrider just aren't worth it to me because of the prices but I still think they're good sets. The only one I don't like so far is Clayface. Quote
Aethersprite Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 The Lowrider is USD$40, right? I remember wanting it when official pics were released then getting put off by its price. Quote

Only looks like a $20 or $25 set to me. Quote
