The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I've been waiting for all of the set images to post my opinions on the sets so here goes...

70900 - Ehh... the balloon thing is cool and it's a cheap way to get the coattails Joker but the rest is just ok.

70901 - I have this set so I can say it's a great set. Mr. Freeze (who is easily the best part) a great build and he has a cool (couldn't help myself) mini fig design

70902 - Cheap way to get Batgirl and Robin. Catwoman is well designed and her bike is very unique then any bike I've seen before. The jewelry shop is... meh.

70903 - Love this set! Great (and very obscure) figures and the Riddler race car is a nice build. Love Calendar Man's cape and Riddler's cane.

70904 - One of my favorite sets of the wave. Clayface a favorite character of mine and this set serves him justice. Mayor is a nice inclusion. Working on actual hands for him I'll show everyone when I'm done.

70905 - Very different than any Batmobile I've seen before, and that's good! I would much  rather have this than another rehash of the same thing. Didn't get a chance to pick up the Man-Bat set so I'm not complaining about getting him again. Kabuki Twins were a surprise. 

70906 - Another one of my favorites. The Lowrider is awesome and Batgirl, Joker, and Harley Quinn are all really good figures.

70907 - Truck is cool. Love the figures. The villains are obscure and they look really good. I like that they used the croc head for Killer Croc. Another bat vehicle is always welcome as we haven't gotten that many of them for this movie and I love the 8 ball piece. Why does Lego resist to put Killer Croc in a swamp?

70908 - Strange vehicle and I like it but the main draw for me for this set is the figures: 4 exclusives and coattails Joker. Pretty good set.

70909 - Batsuits! Bruce Wayne, Alfred, and the Penguin are nice additions also. I wish Penguin's minions didn't have red eyes though. The boat is good but I wish the pieces of the Duck--boat were used to make the Batcave a little better. It has good play features but the suit rack and the computer are too small. I'll probably add onto it to make it more accurate. Overall it's a good set though.

70910 - I like that they didn't include Scarecrow but him in disguise. The pizza truck is ok and so is the Gotham Energy entrance.

70912 - Easily my favorite set. Great build. I wish there were more cells. I hope we get more villains with prisons suits and police officers in other sets. I don't know much about Aaron Cash but its cool he's included. Also it's great they included Harleen Quinzel.

In conclusion this is a great wave and I can't wait to see what the Arctic Roller, the CMF, and the summer sets have to offer!

Hey I was wondering, does Calendar Man has a second facial expression? Kite Man does have one, but I've seen the same expression for Calendar Man in both the leakes, the box art and the official image.

To me it looks pretty standard and has beens seen in Ninjago, Batman sets before like (7886 and 76053) heck even the Ghostrider set has the same vibe even though it is bigger. It is even purple but grey. What do thing is so special about it? Wish there was a fish piece in the dumpster just for the lulz.

So now that we've seen pretty much all of the sets, when are we gonna get some concrete information about the CMF line? I hear Calculator is confirmed, but otherwise I've heard a lot of conflicting lists floating around (and I don't think any of them included Calculator).

Awesome, thanks! I love the new sets and definitely want the Riddler Chase. Killer Croc looks great, but I'm not a huge fan of the original crocodile as his head. Love how articulated he is though! And if the set is actually $50 that's an amazing deal, I expected $60 or $70. It also drives home how bad the Lowrider is. I can't believe it's that expensive. I'll probably get the Catwoman set too because I love her figure and the builds and plus it's a cheap way to get Batgirl.

Unless Eraser is in the Arctic Roller, he's a CMF. I'm guessing Glambat, Knightmare, and some of the easier to implement Batsuits as well.

The new sets revealed look great. Catwoman's set is a good easy way to get bot Robin and Batgirl. Killer Croc's set looks like an amazing 50 dollar set, and Killer Croc himself looks a hundred times better than the one released this year. The riddle racer was a surprise in its design, but in  a good way, and with an impressive set of minifigures. Overall, this wave is in my opinion, the best wave of 2017 so far.

@CM4Sci I have the Joker's lowrider and have no problem leaving it in the low position. Stays that way until I lift the vehicle up.

Like Rookie875, I was waiting for a big reveal like this to share my thoughts on the sets.

70900: This is a day-one buy. Like The Melting Room set from The Lego Movie wave, I love cheap sets like this that have the major players of the movie. And both are supremely-designed. Other than that, the balloon rig is very Joker-ish, but I couldn't care less about the Ace Chemicals section.

70901: Also a day-one buy. I've seen several people talking about how great it is, so I'll be getting it, if not just for Freeze himself.

70902: I haven't gotten one single bike in a Superheroes set, so unlike most people on here, this will be a fresh look on a bike. Also, cheap way to get Robin and Batgirl, and one of my most-favorite Bat-villains, Catwoman.

70903: How much money can I spend? This I will be getting whenever I can. The figures are awesome, as is the car. And, the Riddler is another of my favorite Bat-Villains, and he looks awesome.

70904: Lego Batman 1 was my childhood. I'll be getting Clayface for no reason other than that. And, that he's cool in Hi-Res.

70905: This is the first one that I don't want as much as the others, as Bats and Robin are in other, cheaper sets, and I have Man-Bat from the Bat-Copter from a couple years back. I don't really care about the Kabuki twins. But, the Batmobile is great, so I'll hopefully be getting it at some point.

70906: Oooo. I wanted to get this set since it was revealed, but now that the price seems so steep, and the Croc set is at the same point, and it just seems so small from the reviews I've seen, I'm not sure. I'll probably pick it up at some point too, though.

70907: This is what I'll be spending my $50 bucks on. The truck looks great to me, and Croc is hilarious. Tarantula and Zebra-Man are just added bonuses. And I do not care about the questionable past of our arachnid friend. She is just a cool figure to me.

70908: Looking at some of the other sets, I'm not so sure about this one. The build is fantastic, but except for Poison Ivy, Gordon, and Tactical Babs I don't really want any of the other figs. If you can't tell, minifgures are a big drive for my sets.

70909: Meh. The only one I'm truly 'meh' on. Probably won't pick it up.

And that's about it.

I'm guessing it won't be released until summer due to the Superman/batman versus Lex Luthor is relatively new (came out in 2016) and all the Batman movie sets.

So Clyaface is looking only slightly better in the new pics but I feel like the build will still be bad in hand.  Maybe he could use some smooth circular tiles? As for the legs, making them longer would look even weirder I feel now. Idk, I just give up on that set at this point. Someone else take the wheel. 

Croc set is cool. We're getting so close to making the perfect Killer Croc with those chains around the wrists... but the head? WHY?!  Still, I like him better than I thought I would from the trailers and the build is pretty cool even if I'm not the biggest fan of oversized vehicles. 

Riddler's car, much like many sets of this wave, is solely for the figs. Those designs and printing are straight up phenomenal.  Nobody is hyping up the cane though, haven't we waited FOREVER to get one and everyone is just overlooking it? Granted its not the greatest but it would work awesome as a riddler trophy on the side of a building or something a la the Arkham Games. 

The 3 smallest sets, now 4 with Catwoman one are the only ones I'll be picking up. The Catwoman bike is great and with some modding would work well for a scaled down Ghost Rider bike. Loving the figs and the builds in that one; even the small jewelry shop I love since as it reminds me of some of my shop builds when I first got back into Lego *sigh* the good ol' days

well - these new sets force me to reconsider what I want.

1 - riddler car 5 minifigures Hell Yeah plus it will cost the same as mr freeze

2 - mr freeze as it has a cool little mech

3 - batcave cause of suit rack and I can modify the cave to suit my own needs

4 - cat cycle as It is an easy way to get robin and batgirl. However I believe it is exclusive, so I probably wont come across it.

I no longer want the batmobile as it just seems so boring now and there are now better sets than the joker balloon cough*riddler*cough

also... Cant wait for CMF's!!!

On an unrelated note, After the fun I had with LEGO Batman 1, I feel kinda sad that we most likely won't get a LEGO Batman Movie videogame because of Dimensions.

Wow, this is all amazing! Every set has something desirable. So many villains that I love and it's great that we're getting them! I like how Lego is spoiling us with these LBM sets, it's a comic fan's dream come true. Still getting clayface and the riddler set for sure. Cat woman will be immediately after.

I really like Catwoman's motorcycle, it kinda reminds me of Ghost Rider's bike we got this year. Certainly the new 1x1 half circle piece printed to look like a V twin engine is outstanding! Also, I'm glad to hear the Croc set may very well be $49.99.

Love those 3 set! I'm surprised that Catwoman set isn't exclusive like it was rumore before, this means I'll surely buy it! Riddler set is day one must buy for sure: 4 great villains minifigure and cool loking car, what's not to like for 20-30$? Killer Crock set is meh for me. The bigfig is so much better than 2016 one, but I just don't like the build of the truck. Overall it seems like Lego Batman is one of the best series overall in recent history purely on amount of awesome new minifigures and cool builds alone!
