GentlemanJoker Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Maybe they're in the summer wave because of spoilers? Quote
Borex Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Tartan batman's legs are dual molded, right? Green with black feet? And will the monkeys be the brick build dimension ones, or new minifig ones? Quote
robertgorman2505 Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 I'd imagine they'd be minifigures of flying monkeys, not brick built. Quote

robertgorman2505 Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Whoa, it's @just2good! I've never seen one of his posts before! Congratulations on 7000 posts man! I watch all of your videos, but tartan batman is not based on tarzan! He's based on a Scottish highlander/warrior. Quote
Ashnflash Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Ya I don't know how I feel about this... Like I love the fact that the Wicked Witch and Gremlins are in the movie. What if the movie is just a big LEGO Dimensions movie/advertisement... But to put those characters in sets and not Black Mask and others............ Quote
robertgorman2505 Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Black mask would be appreciated so much more than some flying monkeys and a wicked witch. Slightly disappointed with this odd minifigure choice. Quote
Nerd-with-a-Pencil Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 So it's the Ultrasonic Bat-raider? Quote
robertgorman2505 Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Heh, loving that ninjago reference and it's so true, as this sounds quite similar to that set. Quote
8BrickMario Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Did I miss the actual information post? I don't know how to feel about this. By all means, I should be delighted for a (hopefully new) second Wicked Witch, but part of me was hoping this movie would be self-contained with minimal references to the original. But if LEGO actually takes advantage of the Oz license, I can't argue. Quote
Huigberts Builds Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the new info! It's an interesting set (storywise), that's for sure. I wonder what it will look like. I'm kinda hoping there aren't any unique variations in this set besides the monkeys (I couldnt care less). I know Alfred has a new suit, but that might turn out to be just the regular batsuit. It will probably be a cost saver for me, unless it looks really well and includes many variants anyway. The fact is I only want the TLBM sets because I really like Batman, but besides a new vehicle there isn't anything new in this set. We already have the Scutler and we got batwings in the past. All the batman characters already appear in other sets. Batman and robin will probably the exact same characters with a different facial expresion (unless we get Arkham Suit robin, which is easy to make tnx to the cmf joker), alfred wears a batsuit (if he wears an custom Alfred batsuit I might just change my mind) and then there is batgirl, if it was trenchcoat barbara I would have bought the set, but another batgirl... Then there is the wicked witch, who is easy to get tnx to dimenions and those monkeys. The monkeys aren't even main/important characters in their own movie, so why would I care for them in another movies lego theme. Just give us a lego the wizard of Oz set instead. The Scottish Batman however is something I'll definitely get. Btw this is probably what the monkeys will look like: *snap* Edited January 19, 2018 by Huigberts Builds Removed attachment Quote
Agent 86 Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Wow. The new Batmobile rumours are pretty interesting. I wonder if it could be the Batmobile on the furthest right in the screen grab of the Batcave showing all of the Bat-vehicles. I suspect not, since it didn't appear capable of splitting into three separate vehicles. It's very ... MASK-esque to have splitting / transforming vehicles. Quote
Thelegodan Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Just wondering, but how far out from release are most exclusive sets revealed. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 (edited) In the most recent trailer, the gremlins are attacking something that looks like it could be this Batmobile/Batwing. Also, the Batwing is struck by a green magic lightning bolt. Ha! At 1:45 Given Barbara's outfit, this one could be the trench coat version of her Edited November 24, 2016 by Robert8 Quote
Ashnflash Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 So for those in Canada, I just called my store and they are no longer saying December, the date is now January. I'm really pissed off at LEGO Quote

I hope it is though, since that's a beauty of a Batwing. We also see Alfred in it in a batman costume on the Batwing (which might be his alternative costume) Edited November 25, 2016 by Captain Nemo Do not quote media Quote

At 1:45 I dont know the thing at 1:45 looks more like a "transformed" scuttler, note the " head/cockpit is still visible with the red eyes im thinking more the vehicle right at the begining about :16 in would be a Batwing also why have two sets for the same vehicle one called the batwing one called the scuttler they must be separate entities Edited November 25, 2016 by Captain Nemo Do not quote media Quote
BigGuy4U Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 That is one weird set, but it sounds cool... and expensive. I might have to pass on this one. Quote
Nerd-with-a-Pencil Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 I just wish this was mostly a self-contained movie. If the Witch appears in a set, odds are she's more than just a cameo. Quote
Mr Greeble Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Joker's plan is to open a portal to other "dimensions" in Gotham, as far as I have heard. 4 minutes ago, Nerd-with-a-Pencil said: I just wish this was mostly a self-contained movie. Agreed. Quote

If that's the case, then I bet Jestro and the Book of Monsters will have a cameo as side villains. They could even appear in a set, like Batman, Lloyd and Johnny Thunder in The LEGO Movie Edited November 25, 2016 by Robert8 Quote
