January 2018 Lego Batman Movie wave plus new DC comics sets including Lobo and Reverse Flash based on your other hints? Is this what I'm gathering? I'm trying to contain my excitement because this sounds too good to be true

Yep, but I agree with VaderFan2187 that we need to separate the different themes into their specified threads, although this is all awesome news.

I agree too but I was just responding to the Lobo comments in this thread. He obviously wasn't in LBM.

I don't really know that we need this information at a point where the conversations can't be productive, but I'm hopeful that we do indeed get more from this film, because there's lots of potential, and the Egghead thing seems a given unless he was scrapped entirely.

I at least want that Nightwing Minifigure. Why would they remold the chima pheonix armor if it wasn't going to be in a set. (I don't believe there have been any new molds that have been only in the movies)

It's not actually stop motion, it's just animated to look like it. So a new mold appearing in a movie doesn't mean anything.

Wouldn't be the first time something that didn't make it into the final cut of a movie still ended up becoming a set.

BUT, the rules of the LEGO Movies are that everything has to be a real toy being put into the movie, with the principle that a movie-exclusive mold would disturb the suspension of disbelief. So far, that hasn't happened, so it would seem that Nightwing is inevitable. It's also why the models are all so realistic and why Two-Face's damage is to his plastic rather than a representation of the comic- these are fundamentally supposed to be real objects, so then any new pieces would be made available in real life.

There have been several movie-exclusive molds, actually... most notably the various expressive cowls for Batman in TLBM. I don't see Nightwing as unlikely in either a second CMF series or a third wave of sets, but just because a mold appears in the movie doesn't necessarily mean it's guaranteed to appear in real life.

Harley's truck is actually featured for a few seconds just before the final battle sequence I could imagine it being a set in the final wave with a few new villains

It can still appear in a deleted scene or the extended version

It will also make sense, because in the Batwing set we got Harley's cannon which has a ball joint piece. If they will release the truck I think it will be mounted there.

It would make a lot of sense for the cannon to be attached to the truck bed using that ball joint piece. They could just include a little socket on the back of the cab!

I just went and checked the end of the movie and I never saw it. BUT I did actually find it in the movie. At 22:11-22:18. I also may have just stumbled upon the greatest easter egg ever.... POLKA-DOT MAN POLE DANCING AND GENTLEMEN GHOST MAKING IT RAIN $100's!!!!!! How has no one seen this!?

Do you happen to know how many sets will the third wave have?

I'd expect 4, like The LEGO Movie, but Batman Movie is getting a second wave of CMFs so I don't know
