The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I don't want to seem like a cynic, but is that definitely a minifig? I'm only asking because my image is brought to me by iPhone, and is therefore very small, even with zoom. Better another Catwoman than another Joker, anyhoo.

Who said it wasn't? Keep in mind the figure probably wasn't finished when TLG made these catalogues

In that case I'd expect a placeholder, I didn't see a placeholder for an orange/red bat suit.

Obviously the suit with the Robin mask is a stand in for the Reggae Man suit, there is also a plain black batsuit and another batsuit. The plain black suit is most likely the placeholder for the Firestarter and the blue one is a stand in for the Space batsuit.  Simple enough?

Part of me hopes that Wayne Manor is based off of the comics if I'm been completely honest.  There's just certain minifigures I really don't like from the LBM.

Ok ok, i just saw the pictures (thank you @Coldsnap ) and i love the Cannonball Attack. I am really glad that the Harley Quinn is the same as in the Lowrider,  just without the hair piece, which is no big deal since i already have the CMF one, it includes the Projector, which is a big plus, it has Gentleman Ghost and Crazy Quilt and i like the truck overall. So, definetly gonna get that and maybe the Egghead set, not so sure bout the other sets.

When the Batman line first started back in 2011/2012 I NEVER imagined the line would go this far and see Crazy Quilt.   I mean I'm defiantly not complaining, I just never expected it.  Back then I wanted the Ventriloquist but thought it would never happen, now I'm fairly certain that I'm the next year or so he'll show up.

Two years ago I'd never have thought we'd get a Killer Moth. And now we'll be getting our third. So many great C-list villains have been released; Calendar Man (in his classic costume no less). Kite-Man (Hell yeah!) Calculator. Condiment King(!) Polka Dot Man. Clock King. Gentleman Ghost. ERASER. ZODIAC MASTER. Those characters only appeared in, like, one issue in the silver age and now they're two of my favourite figs!

Hopefully my dreams of owning Mad Hatter, Firefly, Black Mask, Hush, Scarface, Anarky and Prometheus aren't so far fetched considering we got a Z-lister like Mime

If you were to go back to 2006-2007 when the original Batman line was still running and tell me that we were eventually going to get minifigures like Crazy Quilt and the Condiment King, I would've laughed so hard in your face.

I personally think the black placeholder is the spacesuit because it has some kind of backpack thing. Plus it's not hard to flip minifigures from the series to the set and vice versa if the designers feel it doesn't go with the set.

It's not only the breadth of characters, it's also the physical progress that has been made. In less than ten years we have seen Mr Freeze go from a plain blue costume to the proper dome, printed body and a mini mech, Killer Croc reflecting his comic book counterpart and evolving into a really big fig and Batman gaining a physical utility belt, among other things. Now the Trinity will be joined by the Super Friends, we will soon be able to form a BTAS universe League and Wonder Woman finally gets a rogue. Happy happy joy joy!

Agreed. It is amazing just how far the theme has come along; I was worried it would be like most, and have two-three years, and it's become a juggernaut theme alongside the like of Star Wars and Ninjago!

I think that Harley is just using the lowrider outfit + red cape and hair as a placeholder. There's an image of the presumed costume in the artbook with her wearing a jumpsuit, helmet, googles, and unique cape.

BUT IT IS IN THE SET. There isn't a backpack on any of the suits, that's just the part they're using for the suit rack!

Hmm, that's actually possible. But i hope not. But there were many things i hoped for in the set, like that cannon would shoot cannonballs instead of harley. I hope there are still chances, we're getting the regular Harley, even tho it's not very possible.
