What if they did boxes of 80?

For 20 minifgures, I could totally see that. I know Lego has a habit of distributing different characters in different amounts. But I feel that four of each of the 20 characters would definitely work for retail. I mean, it makes sense. Did Disney, at 18 minifgures, even use an 80-packet box?

I suppose that's true, although it's the first time they have 20 different figures in a series as well, so it's all speculation at this point. Guess we'll know soon.

How about boxes of 20 with all the unique characters?

With only one character per box? Don't necessarily like the sound of that... it'd be great for people who buy their own boxes, but awful for people who get them one at a time from stores (if anyone at all got to the fig you want before you could, you'd be out of luck until the store put out another box).

Didn't mean that seriously.

It sounds to me like no villain will appear in more than one set. In fact, Batman may be the only character to appear more than once, and even then he may be different variants.

I guess what I'm getting at is will every figure in this line be exclusive to the set it appears in? That will be both exciting and expensive for us (not to mention expensive for Lego). I guess the closes line for comparison is The Lego Movie sets, and almost every figure there was set-exclusive (the first Emmet is the only repeat I can think of right now), so is this really possible?

I suspect we'll have more than one black-suit Batman repeat, and probably more than one robin. It's really too early to tell, but I suspect a good 70% of the figs will be exclusive to one set.

Whatever happened to those smaller CMF boxes of 30?

Oh no, the thought of a box of 80, on top of the speculated price rise, would be an absolute disaster!

I wonder how popular the Batman series is going to be, because if it is very popular they may get hard to find.

Popular. Very, very popular.

I expect the series to sell at the level of the Disney series at the least.

Darn, that means, I'm going to have to be on point to get there as soon as they come out before they're all gone.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were more popular than Disney.

We live in a time where comic book characters own every form of media at the moment. And no comic book character is bigger then Batman.

In saying that though, if the series is predominately obscure characters... well, then maybe not.

But yes. Be on your pointiest.

But at the same time, a higher demand for a product means more of the product... So even if things start rocky I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities to get them all, and when it is all said and done, online stores always exist for the ones you miss out on.

Those of us in America won't have an issue finding them. They're official product for a major motion picture, by the time it's all said and done we'll be sick of seeing those 2-3 leftover Batmang (and you know the dud will be a Bat-variant) bags sitting on the shelf. That said, I'm sure there are some parts of the world that will get the shaft, unfortunately.

Even though there will probably more than one batman black suit repeat, I guess they will all have different facial expressions. So they likely will all be unique to their set.

You are a far more optimistic person than I, but I would be very glad if you are correct. I like the new face we have seen so far, so I look forward to seeing what else we have in store.

I was more thinking about my wallet and my shelf space ;)

Haha, love that word, pointiest. More product for a popular series is really good. I jut hope the release date is on point too.
