As sort of freaky as that cowl is, I want it!

Also, holy crap I need that Harley Quinn. Never have I needed a figure so badly before.

In that pic, Poison Ivy doesn't look as good as I thought

She looks like an opera singer or something haha

Wow. These are some of the best iterations of the characters I've ever seen. Even better that they're Lego!

I don't normally collect Licensed themes, but assuming they'll be present in the sets, these villains are an instant selling point. I mean, Killer Croc has a flippin' crocodile head! This is the best thing!

Also, really hope we get that Clayface. Could be like the Metalbeard set: one big, brick-built figure and something small to go with it. Considering it's Clayface, I imagine what we see here won't be his only appearance.

Consider me excited!

Some of these figures seem to have too much detail to be in regular retail sets, more like collectible mini-figures level of detail.

For example, Harley Quinn, has arm printing, along with arm printing, and penguin has his new hat mold and new umbrella mold. (his neck attachment also looks different from Kraven the Hunter's one)

The Riddler and Poison Ivy may also fit into this category as well as Alfred, which either means that the Lego group went above and beyond with these figures, that some of these characters will not be made into real figures, or that there will be a collectible mini-figure series for this film. (or exclusives, like Pajama Emmett)

I'll be shocked if Alfred isn't made into a minifigure personally. He's the most obvious one besides Batman.

This new trailer was hilarious! I love the references to previous Batman incarnations. But best part was definitely a glimpse at the new villain designs! They're all great, but my favorite is that lovely Poison Ivy!

I would be too, as well with all of the other villains I mentioned. It's just that these figures have so much detail and new molds, it makes me question their availability in general.

Ehh, to have these desirable villains in a minifigure series, is too good to be true. I just can't see them being available so cheap, they know people will pay good money in regular sets.

It would help to sell the series, and to provide other minifigures in the sets themselves. If the series would include popular minifigures like those, the series would fly off the shelves. It could work. Besides, they are already doing this with the Disney Collectable minifigure series. The Lego group could have made a new theme to include these minifigures in.

My biggest fear with all of these villains is that they require to many new molds to make. Such as the umbrella piece and clay faces eyes

This is exactly what makes me more certain they'll actually be produced. Every new mold in The LEGO Movie was released in real life, to maintain the illusion that the whole world could actually be created in physical bricks (give or take some Q-Tips and batteries). Assuming this movie plays just as fair, we can expect any new parts to show up in the sets.

How many new molds did we get collectively with the Lego Movie?

Somewhere around 20; most were character-specific, but a few were more generic parts that just happened to debut in TLM sets before being widely used in other themes.

25 across sets and CMS. That's for minifigures

I'm counting 19 new pieces for minifigures in regular sets for the Lego movie. I'm counting 13 new pieces for this movie including the villains, belt, bow tie, and lobster. All of these could be made.

Not including Croc/Bane/Clayface there's actually only nine new elements. Also several of these parts (Harley and Ivy's hair, fur collar, umbrella, top hat and the bowler hat) are still generic enough they could be used elsewhere. So it's possible that some of these pieces might debut before any of the merchandise from the movie hits shelves.

As for the bigfigs I don't see all of them being made. Killer Croc is being released this summer as a Bigfig. Add in his unusual stud connections on his feet along with the classic Lego croc head and it sort of feels like he's not happening. The other three seem pretty possible. I'd expect Clayface to be scaled down to some degree.

I would really love to have that Batwing in a set. As tired as I am of most bat vehicles that design just looks too good. Very detailed and very sturdy looking. I just can't help but want it.

And also a proper hammer! Not that fake looking one that comes with the current official Harley Quinn. I also am loving her hair and printing. Definelty want to add her to my collection.

Ouuu Alfred's new cape piece for Joker!? (Same color anyways)

Is it purple for sure? I couldn't really make it out in the pic and can't really play the trailer right now :/

I like the rounded bottom piece for the hammer as opposed to the flat, I may have to make that myself!

Are there closeups like this pic of the other villains too?

Two-Face looks black! 'm thinking Billy D. Williams!

I think you're right! If Billy Dee Williams is confirmed as one of the voice actors, I'd take that as confirmation that he is voicing Two Face.

That would be interesting, given that he only got the chance to play Harvey Dent and not Two-Face. It would be very interesting to see him in the role he was always intended to have.

On closer examination a few observations:

*Penguin has tan skin, like Palpatine

*Catwoman has leg printing

*Harley has printing on the sides of her legs as well as her arms

*Harley seems to have a beauty mark on her face

*Two-Face has side leg printing on one side

*Poison Ivy has green leaves printed on her hair opposite to the white flower

When was he confirmed as one of the voice actors? All we know is Bats, Robin, Alfred, Comish, Mayor and Joker... And it's rumored the other Batmen are in it...

Bane's arms may have to be new molds due to the stud connection for the tubes, since the only current big-fig arms don't have them. That increases the new mold count by 2, if they choose to include the tubes on the real Bane figure. (or if they even make him at all, though they probably will.)

Also, to the post above, Brickweiser said that if he is confirmed as a voice actor, then that is who he will probably be voicing. He never said he was confirmed.
