Hollander Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 These are excellent! I am a big fan of navy ships, and cold ware era russian cruisers and destroyers are no exception. My favorite is gonna be the Moskva as well, because you nailed the hull and details (I recognized the ASW mortars as well ). And the Moskva is just a very unique ship, with the front half being dedicated to armament and the rear to a helicopter platform. Is there any chance we will see a Kirov missile cruiser in this scale as well? That would be amazing. Quote

The flight deck of the Clemenceau is thick enough to use a SNOT technique to replace the yellow stripes with the sides of yellow tiles. The trick then would be to set the runway at an angle, but I think it would be worth a shot. All your ships are quite lovely - in particular I enjoy your Krivak III frigate. Quote

But all does not dare )) I Think experience is enough, you only have to allocate free time. I usually make the ship from start to finish almost without interruption. Otherwise, the unfinished model may go into long-term construction... Don't want this to happen with the Kirov )) 21 hours ago, jamesn said: The flight deck of the Clemenceau is thick enough to use a SNOT technique to replace the yellow stripes with the sides of yellow tiles. I'll have to give it a try. However, in my experience this will lead to a complete reorganization of the entire aircraft carrier ))) I Earlier tried to solve the problem of aliasing of lines at the corner of the deck, making it a "swivel" relative to the rest of the hull. But the decision was unsuccessful. Frigate pr.1135 Krivak-class in the near future I will update. I'll redo the hull entirely in SNOT technique, as with the French frigates. I hope improvements will be noticeable. Quote
