Starwars4J Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 EDIT: And SW4J, I have seen that comic too, I can't remember where it was though, sorry. Well I don't remember where the original site for these was, but here's the comic. Quote
Hinckley Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 But the thing that really angers me is the inclusion of this made-up character "Indy" or whatever his name is. Who does TLC think they are, including this "Indy" character *wacko* I thought it was an original character like Illinois Smith or Tasmania Johnson. Quote
Batbrick Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I thought it was an original character like Illinois Smith or Tasmania Johnson. Reminds me of Shary Bobbins actually........ About that comic, thanks for the SW4J, but I'm sure there was more than that, I remember there being a part where a relative buys him clone bricks. Batbrick is Back! >:-) Quote
Hinckley Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Reminds me of Shary Bobbins actually........ That's actually what I was thinking of! X-D She says she's an original character like Ricky Rouse or Monald Muck. :-D :-D :-D :-D You know what else hoarks me off about these foolish LEGO set designers? Wheels on cars? What's up with that? Morons... Quote

Siegfried Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 About that comic, thanks for the SW4J, but I'm sure there was more than that, I remember there being a part where a relative buys him clone bricks. Piranha Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Watch the movie, people. That's exactly what happens. And as Marion is trying to get through the walls, the dead bodies fall through, just like in the set. I bet if the designers who designed this set read this thread they would bang their heads against the wall until they passed out. X-D :-D Hilarious! I also thought it was silly of TLC to include a horse in the Race for the Stolen treasure set, I mean, what the heck? And also, in the Temple Escape set, why on earth is there a plane in that set? *wacko* Come to think of it, I don't recall a giant boulder in Raiders either, TLC needs to research these things more.' But the thing that really angers me is the inclusion of this made-up character "Indy" or whatever his name is. Thanks Brickminer, that was a very interesting article! Except they don't say what happened to the Hovito and why Belloq isn't wearing a white suit :-| P Quote

WesternOutlaw Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I object to this nonsense completely, but I just have to... What really erks me is that the US Indy sets have non-shooting pistols. (sorry Grevious, - poor bastard :-D :-D :-D ) LOL... Quote
Batbrick Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 X-D :-D Hilarious! :-D :-D :-D Yep, you fella's can still make me laugh *y* Back on topic ( which rarely happens) I like that comic, its very well done and sums up everything very nicely!! :-D I don't think the comic is on topic anyway! :-D But then again, I think the topic was left behind back on page 2 X-D I object to this nonsense completely, but I just have to...What really erks me is that the US Indy sets have non-shooting pistols. (sorry Grevious, - poor bastard :-D :-D :-D ) LOL... Ouch! :-D Grevious! Make pain your friend! And remember, when you get the set, to get rid of the ark, because since when did Raiders of the Lost Ark ever include one? :-P About that comic though, does anyone know the members name here? Batbrick is Back! >:-) Quote
Hinckley Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Gee, I really hope Grevious is the kind of guy who can laugh at himself. Let's check in... Hey Grevious! How you feeling? You know we're just having fun with you right? Everything okay? You're not crying yourself to sleep, are you? Let us know if we've crossed the line...several pages ago... :-$ Quote

iamded Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) I'll leave it open. Embarrassment can be a good character builder. X-D :-D :-D I think this thread is another of those priceless ones... :-D X-D Oh, and on topic, er, no, Indy's Lost Tomb is not silly. :-$ By the way, 'afficionado' only has one 'f'. ;-) ~Peace Edited January 14, 2008 by iamded Quote

(Ha! See if you can remember that one, nemisis! *skull* ) Well, since this thread has proved that the Anubis statue inclusion is not silly, then I have become determined to find something in it that is! X-D First off, what the heck? The temple is supposed to be underground, so why do we have this open, above ground playset? I deem it: SILLY! Secondly, ten snakes? Is that all? Who thought it would be better to save a quick buck and not include all seven thousand? Is that stingy or WHAT? I deem it: SILLY! And don't get me started on the fact that the characters in the film were definitely bigger than the ones in this set..... Batbrick is Back! >:-) Quote

Christian Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 here's that scan...Indiana Jones set designer interview - BM Thank you Brick Miner! The interview was rather short, but I like that he explains why they put a treasure chest in the back of the truck instead of a wooden crate. Quote

Zarkan Posted January 14, 2008 Author Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) You guys are jerks... :'-( :-P Eh, I guess I need to watch Raiders of the Lost Ark again. But ironically, I kinda expected that something like this would happen, since Eurobricks can sometimes be one of the craziest forums ever, despite being made up of AFOL's and teens. X-D\ Edit: Whoops, got a new title! Let me guess who did that... *looks at Starwars 4J and Hinckley* Hm, but I guess it's better than that gungan rebel title I had for a year... blame that on my previous obsession with the Tie Army thread. :-P Edited January 14, 2008 by Grevious Quote
Scouty Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 What is this craziness here *wacko* !!! Since the problem has been solved, there is not much I can say, but say that it is very obvious the statues are there in the movie, Indy even knocks one of them down! blame that on my previous obsession with the Tie Army thread. :-P Come back :'-( !! Doctor Sinister Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 At the risk of being lynched by Grevious - this is one of the best threads...ever. Dr. S. Quote
