iamded Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 (edited) If I were to say "Speaking of Indy's Lost Tomb..." followed by something regarding Indy's Lost Tomb and Grievous' first post in this thread, whilst keeping all seriousness, would that be on topic? See, the current topic is not the titled topic of this thread, but rather something about comedy and humour, which I guess is actually on topic in a way because even in the beginning of this thread we found comedy and humour. Getting back to my question just a mere 2 sentences ago, it would be technically on topic, but it wouldn't be funny, thus it would be quite the fun killer. And I don't want to be the fun killer, I simply want to be the person in the large pink hat who is trying to sound fancy by attempting to talk fancy. And I think I did that task quite well. Indubitably. So, who will be the fun killer? Will we be able to bring this thread back on topic while still keeping the humour? Is there still a topic, with the question having been answered a long time ago? Does it really matter? Will we keep joking around? Tune in next time to find out. ~Peace This babble was brought to you by iamded. No animals were harmed in the typing of this post. Edited January 16, 2008 by iamded Quote

I like your big pink hat iamded! *sweet* Batbrick is Back! >:-) 1st of all, words at the beginning of a sentence start with a capital letter, you should know that. Except iamded, because it is a name, and since names should be spelled with a capital letter, and iamded broke that rule, then there's no reason it shouldn't break the other capitalisation rule. So, iamded is the exception, along with other names purposefully starting with a capital letter. 2nd of all, your overuse of the full stop, or period is ineffective, and spacing the words further apart or putting them on a new line may work better next time. Although I am aware in some forums etc. multiple spaces are cancelled out and replaced by a single space. Thirdly, there should be a space between the series of full stops and the next word, and I'm pretty sure full stop's shouldn't follow commas*, although this case may be an exception. And finally, thanks, it's like, the first compliment I've gotten on my new hat! :-$ ~Peace * Consulting Hinckley about this would be a wise option, as Hinckley seems to know his stuff when it comes to comma usage. Caution; Slow kids playing! :-D Edited January 16, 2008 by iamded Quote

I'm impressed. - but I was just kidding. Actually, I always wanted to do a mystery around an old lighthouse and have been waiting for years for Lego to offer one. The old Dolphin Point light was a little too small and a little too pink for me; then came the Sponge Bob Lighthouse (which looks like one piece); but now, a real lighthouse. *sweet* . But I have to feel inspired to write. It comes and goes. Right now, I'm not feeling it. To force it would be disasterous. I'll do something in the future. We'll see. Quote

Col. Whipstick Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Okay, we all love the Indy sets, since it's kinda hard not to. But one thing still bothers me about the theme -mainly the Lost Tomb kit. Because, frankly, what are Anubis statues doing in the scene that shows the Lost Ark?I mean, of course TLC doesn't have to mention that "the ancient treasure really is the lost ark of the covenant between Israel and God," as that would probably be both unneeded and a magnet for lawsuits and other trouble. But those anubis statues kinda make the whole kit silly, since the scene in the movie obviously didn't have them. A 10 year old kid that watched Raiders of the Lost ark could probably figure out that something was wrong with his lego kit of the scene! So, if I ever did get that kit, those silly statues would go into the parts bin for sure, replaced with big torches or something. ;-) Does anyone else agree? Anyone disagree? Is there anyone that doesn't really care at all and thinks that I'm making too big a deal out of this? :-P I'll have to watch the film yet again perhaps... It does sound a bit daft that those are there. Quote

If you are hanging upside down screeching like a cat being fed to an alligator in a padded cell on tuesday, then you are crazy like me. Also, whats to laugh at?
