Blufiji Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Goblins aren't the biggest or the strongest of the denizens in Nocturnus, but their ingenuity is matched only by a few of the peoples in the east. Various war machines and have been deployed across the dark lands in preparation of war, the newest being the Goblin Siege Boat. Covered in wood, save for a few oar and firing slots, this ship can deliver up to 10 warriors to most anywhere through out the swamp. It's light enough to propelled by one oarsman, but strong enough to deflect or absorb arrows and spears. Inside there are various supplies, including ladders, pitch for fire arrows and bombs, axes and saws for constructing a temporary battlefield outpost. This particular vessel is on a mission to hunt down a certain necromancer... Quote
Garmadon Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Wow! Really neat little ship, the curved roof is ingenious, and the clips on the end fit in superbly! You sure managed to pack a lot in their as well, and the hulls curves are very well done! Excellent mangrove tree and swamp too, and the light on the boat is really neat - although I admit I'm a tad baffled as to why there is one lit at both the front and back (maybe to deceive the enemy as to which way it might be going? ) Great job overall, and I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of action it will bring to that upcoming fight! Henjin_Quilones Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 The boat is fun and cleverly put together, Blufiji! However, the swamp is my favorite part, since you are a swamp landscape master; the mangrove tree is the best, and the dark green color fits it extraordinarily well. I'm not sure I like the bright green of the plants, however, as it is a bit jarring next to the dark green and olive green. It still looks good, though. Well done! Quote

Both ends are lit in case archers want or need to fire flaming arrows from either end. The boat can go been rowed forwards or backwards due to the set up. I really tried to make this one have alot of playability potential. Thanks Garmadon! 29 minutes ago, Henjin_Quilones said: The boat is fun and cleverly put together, Blufiji! Thanks! i wanted to add just a bit of color to all of that dark green, though olive green grass would've worked better here in retrospect! Quote
TitusV Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Another awesome piece of art from you! I love the fact that it's covered, and all the supplies under the cover... This has indeed a lot of playabilitt Quote
Gunman Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Really neat boat design mate :) small and nicely curved. Quote
Littleworlds Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Looks very good! The inferior looks very busy and as you would expect such a boat would look like. Perfect! As for the outside, I might have given it some metal strips as reinforcement and to break up the uniform look of the hull. All in all though a really cool idea and design! Quote
Kai NRG Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Really nice ship, very unique and the little bit of swamp you've included looks great! As Garmadon said the curves are very well done, especially the roof curve! Quote
Legofin2012 Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Amazing shaping on this! I can imagine an small army of them rowing up swamp to invade a keep by surprise! Although I kinda have to agree with Littleworlds about the metal strips, or even dark brown, but that aside a fantastic little vessel! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Very fitting boat for a goblin crew, and the swamp setting is superb It's great that you can actually fit figs and their supplies inside! Quote

You really have no idea how bad I wanted to add the spikes like a Korean Turtle Ship, but not enough spikes and time. 5 hours ago, Kai NRG said: Really nice ship, very unique and the little bit of swamp you've included looks great! Leonardo da Bricki Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Nice little boat, it looks quite nice in the swamp setting. The tree looks great, those roots are cool. Maybe make the lily pads in clumps, it would look a bit more natural. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 That boat is cool! I love your swamp stuff! Quote

MassEditor Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 This is too cool, we don't see enough of this style of vessels but Nocturnus is the perfect place to see them! Ingenious design, the curved top looks awesome. Fantastic looking swamp as always. Quote

With all of our swamp land, we probably should have the most diverse navy, lots of shallow draft boats and rafts and such. Thanks ME! Quote
