I'm kinda holding out for Meta Knight to come back, he was, and still is, my favorite nintendo character

If he is coming back, I can see him being reworked. In the professional scene for Brawl, he is considered "above God-tier." This usually results in him being permanently banned. There has been many complaints on that factor towards developers.

My opinion? Meta Knight is the only veteran that I'm absolutely clamoring for!

Chrom is still a mystery I'm afraid.

If you notice, he attacks very similar to Ike's Great Aether, however Robin somehow automatically joins in. It's possible we're getting a tease of another completely new character similar to the Mr. Game & Watch tease at the end of the Pac-Man reveal (He may have a Final Smash that targets a single character, but also calls in the other characters he hasn't targeted to help him do more damage).

It is also highly likely that he is an Assist Trophy that does what I mentioned above.

Also near the end of Fire Emblem: Awakening (don't worry, no spoilers) Robin and Chrom are very close. Chrom may simply be summoned whenever Robin's Final Smash is activated.

Upon closer inspection, it appears that Chrom will be the latter of the three.

Hahaha, I was actually leaning towards the Gematsu leak being real. But fortunately, the trailer today has pretty much threw Choir Men in a coffin and pounded 100 nails in it.

Here's a link for anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about. The guy is pretty lucky with his guesses, but today it seems we have nearly rock-solid proof that he isn't legit.

I wouldn't worry about Meta Knight at all. The only Brawl veterans that are generally considered in danger of being cut are Snake, Lucas, Squirtle, and Ivysaur. (With the last two being all but 100% deconfirmed) If Derp Toon Link can return, then a character that Sakurai himself (the guy in charge of making the game) made has a great chance.

I'm also hoping for his return since Kirby has been and always will be my favorite videogame franchise You're right, Meta Knight didn't appear in Triple Deluxe, but Dark Meta Knight did I assume he wasn't playable because they wanted to focus on Dedede this time around

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to his reveal. I really hope that they finally give him a unique moveset. The Great King of Evil certainly deserves it.

I'm still holding out for everyone's favorite king, captain and mad scientist K. Rool. I hoped he would be in Melee, then Brawl, but alas he didn't make the cut. Maybe Smash 4 will be his lucky break? There haven't been any heavy newcomers yet, unless Rosalina or Palutena are on the heavy side. Plus there's still an overall lack of villains.

Sakurai says, in today's Pic of the Day, regarding Lucina having her own page on the Smash Bros. website:

“Along with Robin, Lucina joins the battle!! Her physical ablilites are identical to Marth’s–it must be in her D.N.A. However, where Marth’s power is concentrated in the tip of the sword, Lucina’s attack strength is balanced throughout the weapon, which might make her easier to control. She’s also a little bit shorter than Marth. With the Wii Fit Trainers, the male and female Robins, the Villagers, and Little Mac, varying their appearances and voices works just like selecting alternate color variations. However, whenever there is even a small difference in abilities, that character gets an actual roster slot. That is why you can select Lucina individually.”

(NOTE: Little Mac does not have a female option (or that we know of, however it is unlikely). He does, however, have a "Wireframe Mac" skin that will most likely feature a different set of voice clips.)

Another bit of information is that the Japanese Magazine Corocoro (famously known for its new Pokemon leaks) will have a mega issue in August that will feature all characters and stages for the 3DS version. Although the stages are exciting, there is a little something to be said about the complete roster reveal.

Back when Brawl was near release, Corocoro revealed "the entire roster and stages" as well. However, they excluded several hidden characters that were revealed in due time after the release. So, while we will be getting some more characters, there's still a chance that not all of them will be listed.

August 12th is when the next issue of Corocoro is released. We may also get an "info dump" from Nintendo on the same day so that all information is consistent between sources.

Please also note that both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game will share the same roster.

The hype train keeps chugging along! But soon, we will be at our Final Destination.

So... basically Lucina is the exact same thing as Roy. And Roy was pretty close to Marth. Boring.

Oh, yeah, I love Smash. Brawl is my favorite but I also like the original. I play with a lot of characters, Lucas being my favorite and Link (Brawl) and Wolf being close seconds. Ike and Pit are also characters that I frequently use. I kick megablocks with Meta Knight, but he's incredibly overpowered so I don't like to use him.

I really had my hopes up for SSB4. I might've even bought the WiiU just to play it (and Wind Waker HD), but the roster seems pretty disappointing so far. I'm positive they'll include all the original veteran characters, but I still have my fingers crossed for Lucas. I do want to see Snake again. Rosalina and the Villager seem really dumb to me, but I guess I'll have to try playing them before actually making that judgement. Greninja and the Wii Fit Trainer seem pretty neat, and I like how they separated the Samus and Zelda characters into individual slots and movesets.

The gameplay also seems a bit watered-down or maybe just not as impressive of a change since Brawl. We'll see, I guess.

It's Ganondorf. Also Snake, Chorus Men, Lucas, Ice Climbers, and Wolf are supposedly DLC.

Eh, I don't know. Unless Sora decided to go all "fan-service-style", I have a feeling this is fake. I mean, why would Dark Pit be a separate from Pit on the selection screen? There is Lucina, but they're just too similar.

The roster leak looks like an excellent lineup!

Oh great Sakurai! First you give us Palutena, but now there's a potential chance that you are giving us Dark Pit!!! The cake has yet another absolutely luscious layer of frosting if this leak is real!!!

I specifically recall some official source confirming that there would only be five Challengers from the Mario franchise. That means that, if, again, I recall correctly, that Bowser Jr. alone would prove that this is fake.

However there is a potential chance that it is!

Bowser Jr., Wario, Mr. Game & Watch, Ganondorf, Falco, Jiggleypuff, Duck Hunt, R.O.B., Ness, Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, and Shulk ALL have never before seen artwork!

In other words, if any one of these characters gets a reveal before the game releases in Japan, and the art for the character on the website matches the art in this leak, the entire line-up is confirmed!

I'm wary of Duck Hunt, though.

But hey, I doubted Pac-Man all the way! And now he's confirmed and he looks fantastic!

TL;DR

-YAY! Dark Pit (if it's a legit leak)!

-I recall an official source saying there was only going to be five Mario Challengers in the game (Bowser Jr. is the discrepancy)

-All of the characters in the leak that have yet to be revealed all have new art.

-If one character is revealed with the exact same artwork as featured in this leak, it will confirm the leak to be true.

-Not sure about Duck Hunt. I thought Pac-Man wouldn't work, but after he was revealed he works well! So I'm open to see how Duck Hunt will work (if the leak is legit)

Color me hyped if this is true!
