Interesting layout. What are you using for the supporting beams and bridge?

It seems to be very compact however by which I mean there seems to be a huge number of tracks going very close to each other thereby maybe questioning the need for them. Your railway operator isn't worried about losing money on these lines I take it :)

Is the layout designed solely for a Trains display or for a town? I assume most likely for a Train only display because of the concentration of track. Would be nice to see town and road baseplates build around it.

*wacko*

I am using (2) terrets as a base with (4)3x4x6 walls for most of the supports

Do I have to do it all on my own? :-| ;-)

Here you are:

Straights: 68

Curves: 72

Switches: 2 of both sides

Crossings: 2

this is definitely no beginners layout. 8-|

I found 80 of them on bricklink 18 cents ea (thats not that bad)

most people on BL were selling for like 30 cents ea

I'd imagine these turrets are quite expensive or difficult to have alot of? Do you have lots from Castle sets or did you get them on S@H?

I found a lot of nice layouts (and the one of this thread, too) on the Lego train depot

Enjoy!

Thanks. *sweet* I looked around to try to prove that he borrowed that picture but I didn't go to the obvious place. :-$ I suspect that his "collection" was someone elses as well, and probably his kiddy avatar. :-|
