Some of you may remember Samurai Samukai, a MOC which I posted here back in June. I was planning to do a follow-up build in the same scale, with Pythor being a ninja (as the natural counterpart of the samurai). However, other projects kept me busy and then I lost motivation, so I shelved the project. To my surprise though, Samurai Samukai turned out to be one of my most popular MOCs of my display at Brickmania Antwerp, many kids enthusiastically told their parents that they knew him from Ninjago. :sweet: And so, I decided to try an upscaled Pythor.

In the end, I've stuck more to the show than my original plan, but I'm fine with that.

I swapped out the blue and updated Samurai Samukai with green parts that were introduced in the Ninjago summer wave.

Thank you for looking! C&C very much appreciated!

Very nice!  Pythor's brick built tail is great.  Samukai should have looked more like that in the show.  The dark green really makes the armor look authentic, especially the helmets on the shoulders.  Cool use of the bucket handles.  Most of all I like how posable Samukai is, great pics.  These are awesome display pieces, great job!

Thank you, Leroy! I figured the dark green would go well with the military theme and also because those parts were often made with dyed leather, historically speaking. :classic:

This is some great Minifigure modding!
That Dark Green indeed looks good on him!

Well, "modding"... Samukai has four of his original parts and Pythor has one, so... I'd prefer "moccing"

*Chuckles*

YOU MEAN THE CHAOS EMERALDS?

Jokes (?) aside, this Samukai's even better. The green suits him, it looks more samurai-esque in my opinion. And I really like how you made Pythor so detailed, but kept his size pretty decent at the same time.

Haha, no! Those are the symbol of his rulership over the Serpentine: green gem is for Venomari, blue for Hypnobrai, red for Fangpyre, yellow for Constrictai (lack of a better colour). I took inspiration from the Fangblade holder from the show.

Oh, I totally forgot about that!

I'm noticing this now, but the black and purple color scheme with a mix of gold kind of reminds me of the Overlord
