CarsonBrick Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) Here's my entry for the Winter Village contest! I hope you guys like it! Happy Holidays!!!! (Also, just as a little comment: I'm from Southern California where there is no snow. This is my depiction of a not so white Christmas!) Fenestra Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I really love the look of this. The only thing it's missing is a little snow but I'll just pretend like I do here in the Southeast United States! Great job! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Looks great. Looks just like one of those little buildings (non-lego) that people put up. I like the way it is lit up inside. The brickwork looks well done. And the gold light on the side looks clever. Is that a legal technique? But does it fit with the rest of the winter village theme? Not at all considering it has a different baseplate, no snow, and I'm assuming a lot more pieces with all of those plates used. But I'm not the judge, so this will likely win. Keep up the good work! Withacee Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Nice one. I especially like the ground floor. Clever work on the red fences. It's probably a bit too big for Winter Village; leaving out the first floor might make it fit in even better. And yes, a bit of snow and maybe some kind of small vehicle might help a bit, too. Good luck in the contest and keep clicking those bricks together! Quote
peedeejay Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 That's a lovely little store. I really like the atmosphere. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Very nice techniques, the trans yellow Windows actually make it look sunny! My only nitpick is the lack of door handles, but that's minor. Quote
CarsonBrick Posted December 15, 2016 Author Posted December 15, 2016 Thank you for all the comments everyone! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Wow this is a beautiful building! I like the snot technique used for the doors and windows! Very well done! Quote
aukevin Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Looks very good. Love the shiny gold windows in the front. Quote
Kristel Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Sweet! Love the upper windows and the flower trim between the floors. Quote
Zork Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 really nice work, congrats! What I like most is the facade - that you used tiles instead of bricks. makes it more look like clinker. Quote
carebear Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Love this!!! - the doors are Great!!! Great Work!!! Greetings Quote
