Hewman Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I agree, the construction is much better than previous pics showed, I'll definitely get atleast three sets of this theme. A few problems, but overall I'd say I certainly underestimated this line. Batbrick Away! >:-) We (I'm definitely including myself here)were all so pessimistic weren't we, and Lego sure has shown us, a few of those sets are gorgeous, oh that silver, so so beautiful. I guess they did some exhaustive product testing because they've come up with the goods here, and no license for them to pay. Plus it didn't go the obvious route of mimicking James Bond. Quote

No they went the other obvious route and mimicked Action Man. |-/ I'm just glad that the dark green crocodile and the new hair piece is also included with Indy 4. Creator and Indy are the best lines this year. The rest are all YUCK. Especially this one. Edited February 19, 2008 by highlandcattle Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Is that fire looking hairpiece new as well? Its in the pic Nonpoint fan posted.Batbrick Away! >:-) It most certainly is! I wonder if it'll be rubbery like Exo-force... 8- Quote
Brainbox Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I'm really getting into this theme. All the sets look really nice, and there're some cool new molds. That new pontail piece is simply *wub* and it's great to see TLC expanding in terms of hairstyles, rather than ust giving us the same ones over and over again. I'm surprised by the amount of playability in the HQ. I mean, there's hidden compartments, lots of mini vehicles, baddies, goodies, that projector, the whole transforming truck idea... The other sets are nice too. There are a load of great photos here (60!), which really show the sets in more detail. It's nice to see the boxes have a comic, they're always good. Try these out for closeups: Techie 6-legged bad guy Ponytail 1 Ponytail 2 Flame-haired bad guy (who appears to have some sort of nosebleed *wacko* ) There are some cool new faces there as well, not to mention that cyborg arm attatchment *wub* Quote
iamded Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 (edited) Thank you Brainbox! I love those minifigs, so much new pieces, that laptop's awesome as is that armoured helmet-jaw piece. Great find! *y* *y* ~Peace EDIT: This guy is so awesome! Chainsaw arm ftw! :-D And the working projector is a great new idea from Lego, though I'm not sure it works that well. :-/ Edited February 20, 2008 by iamded Quote

That new pontail piece is simply *wub* and it's great to see TLC expanding in terms of hairstyles, rather than ust giving us the same ones over and over again. I love that ponytail pieve and the other hair molds, simply fantastic. I love the different style too, intead of just different hair, there are some real slick doos and that real Punk red and black one. I'm surprised by the amount of playability in the HQ. I mean, there's hidden compartments, lots of mini vehicles, baddies, goodies, that projector, the whole transforming truck idea... I have to say though I derided it at first this is a great set upon better photos. The mini vehicles are fantastic, there is plenty of pearl silver pieces, dark blue, sweet compartments, playability and nice pieces. The truck itself is really well built too. The other sets are nice too. There are a load of great photos here (60!), which really show the sets in more detail. It's nice to see the boxes have a comic, they're always good. I like the comics too, nice "how to" guides for drawing minifigs, and they'l help us understand just what the heck the Agents are doing :-D Try these out for closeups: Techie 6-legged bad guy Ponytail 1 Ponytail 2 Flame-haired bad guy (who appears to have some sort of nosebleed *wacko* )There are some cool new faces there as well, not to mention that cyborg arm attatchment *wub* That cyborg attachment is a dream come true for me, hopefully there are a lot in this line. I love that Flame-Haired baddie, but wonder whats up with his nosebleed *wacko* That laptop is brilliant also, I love those weird six legged cyborgs too. Thank you Brainbox! :-/ I love that helmet too, and the chainsaw arm. I love the cyborg faces too, they'll be very useful in many different mocs. Overall this theme has gone from disappointment to must-get for me, I want every set! (Though I'll settle for missions 2-5) Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
hoang Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 i think Agent is gonna be another theme i'm going to be collecting Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I wasn't expecting much and after viewing those pics I'm even more disapponted >:-( I think there are only a few cool parts that I really need, and apart from that no way !! * pony tail hair part * JSF dark blue wings * dark blue zodiac * new sharks *wub* so nothing really interesting apart from those parts |-/ *yoda* Quote
Brainbox Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 And the working projector is a great new idea from Lego, though I'm not sure it works that well. :-/ Bear in mind it was probably quite bright inside when the pics were taken. I should think (and hope) it'll work better in less light. nice "how to" guides for drawing minifigs, and they'l help us understand just what the heck the Agents are doing :-D And there's that. I wonder if we might see some reprinted in the instrcutions? Or maybe TLC could go all old-school on us, and print full comics in the instructions, a la SW and Alpha Team. (Though I'll settle for missions 2-5) I, erm, may have to get all 6. Quote
Athos Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Here is some of the cool/weird stuff I see in the new Agents line: New hair pieces: *wub* http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2034/227706...6ef2bee.jpg?v=0 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2138/227705...aa3acb8.jpg?v=0 I bet this helmet could be used in a Castle MOC: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2418/227704...165c427.jpg?v=0 This figure is so hot his hair caught on fire. :-P Interesting arm piece too... I wonder how it fits. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2271/227706...73213e7.jpg?v=0 Dark Green Crocodiles: http://www.flickr.com/photos/no_onions/227...57603938598036/ Barbed Wire: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2281/227704...fccc6ab.jpg?v=0 And... Sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads: :-| http://www.flickr.com/photos/no_onions/227...57603938598036/ Steve Quote
alex54 Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I'm like Yoda, I don't like this line, but there are just few parts that are really interesting, like the pony tail hair part, and the laptop part (first, I have thought that it was a book printed in its inside... :-D ) The new shark doesn't look that bad. But I don't understand why TLC puts an old one in the coastguard theme. I mean, using two molds for one things doesn't look like an economic strategy... Quote
Zarkan Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I was watching those pics again for the sweet sharks and I havene't noticed the "batteries included" on box of mission 6: do you guys know whats it for ?Anyhow, I am in a ranting mood after TLC's decision not to do sets from Temple of Doom so I shall continue here: what the hell is that theme ?? Its ugly (worse than MM sets, that says a lot) and way to violent for a non license !! Shame on TLC !! Will only buy a few parts off BL and end of story, the rest doesn't deserve much more attention. I don't see what's wrong with a non-license having violence in it anyway. If we've tolerated - make that, loved realistic gun molds, gun laden jeeps, weapon loaded starships, and Nazi-look-alikes in the themes based on Starwars and Indiana Jones, a regular theme with elements shouldn't be a problem, if you are thinking technically. :-/ Actually, IMHO, Agents actually doesn't seem that violent compared to what it could be. Yeah, we have guns and rockets on sharks, but it's not like TLC is marketing these directly with the "kill the bad guys" intent. On the outside, all this is is a secret agent theme with a dark blue spy team engaging in top secret missions and rescues. Nothing wrong with that, is there? :-/ Quote
Batbrick Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Nothing wrong with that, is there? :-/ Why did you suddenly bring up the violence issue again? How old is that quote you took? Can we please just discuss the sets, I hate those violence issues. Thankyou :-) Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Brickmaster Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Oh man, I would love to get every set in this line :-$ But I may just have to settle for the big truck and the swamp missions, as they contain the basics of the line - All figures and all special little accessories, and lotsa dark blue parts, and barbed wire, and and.. :-$ I like this theme, but my wallet says only those two are feesible 8-| Quote
Shadows Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 From those pics, this really is the spiritual successor to Exo-Force for me. Some new hair, a few decent minifig parts and such, nothing exciting at full price, but some decent things to pick up cheap. I can deal with that. I didn't need another big winner of a theme. Quote

We don't have mech after mech with this line, thats good news for me. Good point, plus both good and bad guys will be human, so they have a lot more potential use outside of the theme. I mean, they're borderline 'normal' people by LEGO standards. This theme might be shaping up after all. Quote

xwingyoda Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Look the sweet pics I found browsing through BS ;-) Frome these pics I saw some details I never saw before !! I know its still preliminary but stillinteresting !! Whats the colour of the uzi gunin the first pic ? Look at the sweet new hook part on the speedboat on the right !! its like a flickfire harpoon !! sweeet Enjoy !! *yoda* Quote
Shadows Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Whats the colour of the uzi gunin the first pic ? That would be solid metallic gold, same as ... his hair? WTH is that about? The thing that sticks out about him, to me, is the face. If that eyepatch is normal and not some kind of mechanical looking thing, he's a dead perfect future pirate minifig that I'll be buying up on Bricklink. Add the lovely new alligators, ie the old one with extra printing, the slightly bizarre but tolerable sharks (once you take the friggin' lasers off their heads) and I have to hope that this be a hint of things to come. *sweet* Some of those sets are pure crap, but I sort of like the speedboat and most of what is there would cross-over well into Batman. I hate to say it, but I may end up buying most of this line. :-| Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 That would be solid metallic gold, same as ... his hair? WTH is that about? And yet another Austin Power's cameo X-D After the "sharks with freaking laser beams attached to their heads" I present to you Goldmember X-D After all that huge truck is carrying gold !! I hate to say it, but I may end up buying most of this line. :-| X-D Now I think I'm kinda in the same direction as you !! After all there are fantastic parts in great colours !! *yoda* Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Amazing pics, XWY! I'm seriously impressed(but kinda annoyed at the gold Uzi) with this line! Here's my breakdown of what I saw in *yoda* 's pics: I think that Uzi is a new mold! The barrel looks longer and the body seems different... Maybe it's just the color. :-/ The second guy in the first pic seems to have that brick attached to one Star Wars long blaster and one Thompson SMG. Two new heads in the first pic. Two new heads in the second pic, also a new arm. I think the Agent has Mutt's hair. Two new heads in the third pic(the Agent is the same head from the first pic :-| ), a new 'helmet', and barbed wire! *wub* Plus a new map. In the fourth pic, one, maybe two, possibly three new heads. The henchman has the same head as is in the third pic, and the same 'helmet'. The far right Agent seems to have the City 'determined' face, as well as Mutt's hair. The middle Agent, I don't know. It could be a ponytail, and we all know what that means! 8- Quote
Ricecracker Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 if that batman uzi is gold, and TLC usually puts all the batman accessories in every set they are in (which they do), then that means we should get all the batman accessories in gold :'-) Quote

Oh yeah, this isn't Batman. *sweet* I still like your theory! Edited February 24, 2008 by trooperdavinfelth Quote
