8636 is the Deep Sea Quest (not an exclusive), 8637 is Volcano Base (exclusive)

I don't know who it is supposed to be an exclusive to, the catalogue doesn't specify.

I like the look of swamp raid, but I am saving my money for volcano base!

So was I! Then I gave into temptation, purely a spur-of-the-moment thing.

Is the little boat cool or just plain small?

Small. But if you put Break Jaw in, hunch him over the steering wheel, and hold it up at eye level at a particular angle, it just looks so cool!

Do you plan on those two?

Oh yeah. Somehow, I'll find the money.

I have to ask, is the motorcycle in Swamp Raid good? What about the ATV in Gold Hunt, is that good too?

The bike's okay. It does look pretty good, but I think it would look better with the wheel arches going the other way. You know, up from the front, rather than down. Unfortunately, I can't MOD it untill it's finished modelling for the comic.

The ATV is pretty nice. The catapult trigger on the back is better than you'd think, it works pretty well (still going though). The wheels are perhaps a little small in comparison to the rest of the jeep, and the whole thing is ridiculously big next to a minifig (seriously, Gold Tooth comes up the the bottom of the side bar of the driving area). Plus, the bonnet obscures a lot of forward vision when it's open, but I'll forgive that because of the missiles.

What do you plan on next?

I should be able to pick up Jetpack Pursuit any time with regards money, I just want to find it for the proper price. The others, I haven't found yet, so it's anyones guess. It depends what I find when, and when I can afford what I find (say that when you're drunk  ).

Yes they will! They're both listed in the June Oz/ NZ catalogue with a Sept release date. 8637 is listed as an exclusive in Australia but not 8636.

Speaking of, I still haven't got that. Stupid "there is a waiting list on the catalogue". I don't care, I want my S@H now! Hmph.

I love how particular that sounds. Like on the Monkey Island Games with skull rock:

"Arrr, there be skull rock!"

(Guy looks at the rock which looks more like a rabbit)

"It looks more like a rabbit"

"Arr but she looks like a skull if you turn your head!"

(Guy turns his head and sees the rabbit ears becoms a duck beak)

"Now it looks like a duck"

"Arr well it looks like a skull if you turn your head and squint a little!"

Good luck then. They are the first two for me now, I just ordered them after saving up some money (stupid Tumbler and not being out yet!)

Really looking forward to getting them both, I think these sets will be up on display for a looooong time! :cry_happy:

Ah, thanks, sounds still good though. I might make a Batpod with a similar design.

, sounds quite big, but like you I'll forgive it for the bonnet missiles. Funny thing, with the two sets alone I ordered I get Break Jaw, Slime Face, Fire Arm, Claw Dette and Dr inferno!

Hmm, seems I get Bat everything before you! I hope to get two of the Jetpack set due to the sheer awesomeness of the figs, especially the Saw Fist bits.

I cleared a load of stuff off a shelf just so I could display the two sets I have. Trouble is, I'm doubtful the Mobile HQ or the Volcano HQ will fit on their own, let alone with all the other sets...

Ah yes, I was planning a similar thing, but not a Bat-pod. More a light car-thing. Don't worry, go ahead with your idea.

TLC's figure distribution for this line is whacked, but I think it's worked out to our advantage.

Oh yes, luckily my brother leaves my room this year so all the cupboard space is mine! Bwahahahahaha! :skull:

4 Black Mutt Hairpieces

2 Orange Mutt Hairpieces

2 Brown Jonah J Hairpieces

4 Black Jonah J Hairpieces

3 Brown Ponytail Hairpieces

2 Inferno Hairpieces

1 Gold Jonah J Hairpiece

1 Black Spalko Hairpiece

5 robot arms

3 metal jaws

and i won't even attempt to add up all the different kinds of inferno jumpsuits :cry_happy:

I bought 8632 Swampy jaw face scooter attack ( or whatever its called  ), a great set I have to say, I like the new figures, the jaw face figure is fantastic, especially when armed with a brickarms AK-47!

And the set was only £11.23 from Woolies!

Or not... I can't find the camera, so I'll try and get one up later.

What? Only 30? I though there were at least 100.

It's good for us though. If you buy all the sets, then you get spare uniforms to make more generic henchmen or spare Agents uniforms o go in the Mobile HQ as replacements should the ones they're wearing get damaged. Plus, there're lots of nice pieces to go in the parts bins. Heads, yes, but hair is more to the point. Lots of cool hairpieces to use!

Isn't it great when you just stumble onto a deal like that with no prior knowledge of it?

Do you guys think there will be an Agents set that is set in space someday? :sweet: Perhaps some kind of orbital HQ for either the good or the bad guys, or maybe some kind of doomsday satelite from Dr. Inferno? I mean, they have done pretty much everything else, right?

I will not tolerate this insolence much longer!

Oh if only. The only problem I see is that the Turbocar set should have one more fig, that'd be wonderful...

I plan to make an army of Agents with different heads! The figs to me are the best part of the line. The hair is great as you say, I've got plans to use some for Bat characters. And Breakjaw's, er, jaw will come in handy for some Castle orcs. And Id I ever make a KGBeast fig that robotic arm will come in handy.

I'm actually one of the few who isn't in favour of a space set so much. However, I love the idea of a giant orbital laser for a Badguy (I want a different set of villains for wave 2) and it'd be cool to get space based henchmen!

Batbrick Away!

Bah! I want Dr. Inferno to get his revenge for wave 2, hopefully involving some sort of double agent! I would personally like to see some add ons to the Volcano base too, like they did with Jabba's Palace sets a few years ago.

Oh and some better guns. And pie.

Posted

my thoughts on wave2 are

A set featureing a small building with an inferno limo, and Chase in a tux (with normal townsfolk).

The Agents static HQ with some the Inferno crew attacking

Inferno robbing a bank with cops and an Agents car and a cop car

a big Agents plane/jet with a floating Inferno becaon/laser/camera thingy in the sky (not quite space)

Infernos speedboat with fuse in a divers suit

why dont we all share are ideas here?

But Spy-Clops goes a long way to making up for it.

Yes! I didn't think of that, of course.

However, I love the idea of a giant orbital laser for a Badguy (I want a different set of villains for wave 2) and it'd be cool to get space based henchmen!

Of course, the laser satellite would be shaped like the badguy's head.

And pie.

Gadget pie. The top opens up to reveal a giant missile.

The Agents static HQ with some the Inferno crew attacking

Certainly a possibility. They need somewhere to keep all their gadgets and vehicles, and haang around talking about justice.

a big Agents plane/jet with a floating Inferno becaon/laser/camera thingy in the sky (not quite space)

Ooh, nice. They need a plane really. The closest they've got currently is Fuse's jet, which can hold a grand total of 1 Agent with 0 passengers. They need some way of getting everyone to a single place.

Very good point actually, for half a minifig he sure does kick absolute megablocks!

Yes! I didn't think of that, of course.

I'm surprised really, normally you and I are on the same wave length.

Of course, the laser satellite would be shaped like the badguy's head.

Oh naturally, and two glass panels which act as "eyes" :cry_happy:

I'd love that if it did two things:

1. Be able to stand up straight on a display.

2. Have a decent Agents space vehicle.

Which opens up to reveal another pie!

1. Be able to stand up straight on a display.

To be honest, I think I'd rather it had a stand. That way, it can 'float' above the lowly ground vehicles, looking down on the people of the earth like the insignificant wretches they are! Mwahahahahaha!

2. Have a decent Agents space vehicle.

Oh of course. Some sort of Agents space transport or shuttle. With an escape pod of course.

I still have to buy one Agents set. Some of those pieces are great. :hmpf_bad:

They're all fantastic sets, I have to agree. I think this and Batman are the only lines I've wanted to buy every set in. Batman, well, that's because I'm a comic geek. This is simply because of the sets themselves. TLG have really done something right with this theme.

I'd rather have like some big Dr. Inferno hq on water. Especially if it was like a big skull cave. (Treasure Island!) The mouth would be the entrance, with a dock inside the cave. The eye sockets would act like look out towers, with maybe a telescope in one eye. It would be a secret lab for Dr. Inferno, with big cloning machines and weirdo scientific do-hickies in inside.

A Super-quantum-temporal-destabiliser perhaps. Or maybe even a Megaton-moleclulariser-ray.

Good idea, though I think play sets with stands don't happen very often. And odn't use wretches, this works better:

"Like God, I view the insignificant specks of humanity from the vastness of space itself, and soon, I will wield the power of God upon these tiny insects with a ray powerful enough to project a spot on Neptune! Bwahahaha!"

Oh of course. Some sort of Agents space transport or shuttle. With an escape pod of course.

Exactly! Except the escape pod should be in the space station, along with a space based villain! Rock-it or something perhaps?

Agreed again, like you Batman is nostalgia, so while it saddens me slightly to admit it this truly is the theme of the year for me.

Didn't I post a "Quantum Megaton Temporal Destabiliser" back a while ago? You copycat!

Ah, I'm on holiday. My brain's turned to mush!

:hmpf_bad: Obviously Dr. Inferno would need a double forward thruster sprocket laser cannon.

Anyway I like Scyzoryk's idea of a skull island, it reminds me of those great pirate sets (I'm supposed to review.) Perhaps we could also see some sort of space station too, with more lasers and even more pie. And a few new baddies. Like some sort of cheesy Bond movie, we could have an evil throne with several control panels and space suits!

What?

Anyway, perhaps Joker should get a pie launcher...

And I have to say, Moile command center rocks! However, I wouldn't mind paying an extra ten bucks for more Inferno vehicals...And agent Trace rocks! Female torso ON!:cry_happy::classic:

*cough*Moonraker*cough*

To be honest, I think a space set could be a likely possibility. Across the 8 sets, we've been to the mountains, the swamps, the jungle, the ocean (surface and underwater), a city and a mountain/volcano. Where else is there to go?
