Hi everyone! I'll just start off by saying that I'm not 100% sure that this is the right section for this, but hopefully it is. I've just signed up to this site, but have been viewing it for the past couple of months now and I have to say that each and every MOC I see on here is seriously awesome.

The reason I made this topic is because I was hoping to get a discussion started about everyone's thoughts on a possible new Cloud City set somewhere along the line.

I recently watched the animated short series (Droid Tales), and there's a few scenes on there which take place on Cloud City, and it got me thinking about how great it would be to get a more modernised feel to it as Lego builds have improved greatly since the initial Cloud City set. Watching it, what really got me hoping for a set was the Luke minifigure...

 

Personally, I think it looks great, and if I'm correct, I think it has a slightly darker hairpiece to the one that has been on the Luke minifigures lately, I could be wrong though.

If they was to make a new set, what scene would you like it to be based upon, what minifigures would you have included in it and roughly what size set could you see it being?

I hope they'll make it with multiple scenes, such as the Freezing Chamber (in black and orange), the Cloud City Duel, Han Solo's Prison, the Dining Room, and maybe the room where the Ugnaughts toss around C-3PO's parts.

Price maybe around $199.99?

Minifigures (I wish): Boba Fett, Luke, Vader, Leia, Lando, Han, Carbonite Han, Lobot, Stormtroopers, and a Bespin guard.

Given everything that happens there it feels like the locale is worthy of a UCS set. 

Include an X-Wing a Cloud Car the figures and settings you mentioned plus a few of the droids and the landing deck and wow! I am sure many a collector would jump all over it. 

This has been a fan favorite "pipe dream" set for years now and it is surprising it has not been released since the original came out so many years ago! I think the main highlights of a playset would need to include all of the Vader v. Luke duel locations, the Carbon Freezing chamber, the Ugnaut's junk yard, the dinning room, hallways, the prison room, and if possible a landing deck. Make it one solid model like the Death Star with a vague shape of Cloud City. Include figures of Luke, Leia, Han, if possible a way to have Chewbacca haul a broken C-3PO around, that silver protocol droid too, R2-D2, Lando in his blue clothes, Lobot, a few guards, Ugnauts, Vader, Boba Fett, and a few Stormtroopers. I think it would garner a lot of praise and sell well.

Cloud City is long overdue for another release. I'd love to see one with even more rooms than the 2003 version.

I'm not too fussed on the bulk of the minifigures since most are currently available for cheap prices. The main requirements for me are a new Luke and Lando since both are horribly outdated, preferably a new Lobot with a molded headgear/baldcap piece and most of all - BOTH versions of Leia in the red gown and white jumpsuit.

They should do it in modular sections, so that it doesn't turn into a £400 set few can afford. A landing pad with lounge room, Dining room with torture chamber and ugnaught scrap room, Carbon freeze, lightsaber duel and "I am your father" scene (to hang over the edge of a table or shelf.

Welcome to EB, Shattered. I for one definitely feel like there needs to be a cloud city set, especially given all of the source material (ESB, Battlefront DLC, and just about any lego OT installment).

If Lego can stomach Assault on Hoth they can sure as heck release a UCS Bespin set to match, in my opinion. 

I think the said scenes with the Ugnaughts disassemble C-3PO and the dining hall are necessary but I would really like to see something more original, maybe an extra bedroom or a landing pad or something like that. I dunno, maybe that's stupid.
