I wear the stigma of my beginnings upon my skin, for this you would judge me. We are not all so fortunate as to have been born into the race of those who decide who and what is Monster. But I would not wear your skin nor reside in your heart to save myself from all the ills of the world. Not all evil is so readily visible? Is it old one? Quote
Chromeknight Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Enough Monk. Even though age has not taught you manners, it is a shame that working in heroica has not. Lets go then, follow this glamhoth cam'wetherin. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 Off through the night our heroes did trackCross wind swept plains, no haste did they lack. Their way was assured, good pace did they makeWhen right in their path stretched a lone frozen lake. QM Note: The goal is to cross the lake from one side to the other. As you can see the ice sinks and rises from the lake and each step the heroes take corresponds to a single rise and fall of the ice. PM the solution within the next 25 hrs however you wish, up, left right, etc. or ^, >, V, < up to you. Those with the correct solution will receive a level of experience. Quote
Asphalt Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 OOC: question for clarity. Do you want us to give the number of studs in a given direction? Some of the icechunks are more than one brick. so if a piece was L shaped three studs across and 5 up would you want us to right Move 1 three studs Left, 5 studs up Move 2 Etc Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 QM Note: So possible solution formats would be Up, Up, Up, Right, Pause, Left, Right, Left, Down, Down = ^,^,^,>,-,<,>,<,V, V = Up 3, Right, Pause, Left, Right, Left, Down 2 There is only one solution, and since 1 space of movement = 1 rise/fall of the ice, location isn't really necessary. Hint: There is a pattern to the rise and flow. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 QM Note: I'm going to go ahead and extend the deadline by another 24hrs, this one might be a little more difficult than I first anticipated, as another hint the repeat pattern is every 10 rises/sinks. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) I'm not sure if I'm daft, but how many studs are we allowed to move per rise/fall, or is it not based on studs at all? From what you said, it seems like it's just one, but the first ice block sinks in the first scene, so how are we supposed to get to the next one without drowning? Or am I missing the point entirely? Edited February 2, 2017 by Palathadric Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 QM Note: 1 stud per rise/fall. Hint, don't go on the first scene. Quote
Asphalt Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 So one stud, not one piece? There goes that last plan. Quote

Palathadric Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Okay. For some reason I stupidly assumed that we started on the ice. Thanks for your patience. Quote

QM Note: Assume your first step/move is forward onto the ice, for picture purposes I had to photograph the Heroica character a few steps back. Everyone can feel free to PM me the solution at any point (no time limit, I'm starting to see how this may be too difficult of a puzzle) I'll continue the quest in about 6 hrs. Quote

He speaks loudly with Diplomacy. I am Vindsval Called the Half Born, First Paladin of the Wanderer, Son of Eigrindil of the Ice Cap Frost Joten.
