R2 sits lower in the droid socket, which is more accurate and you don't see his blank back There is storage for Anakin's lightsaber There are controls in the ship. How is that not a "given"?? I personally prefer the laser cannons on Anakin's Interceptor. Unfortunately they don't match up with each other. Agreed, the model for 75038 is better, i dont have it, but made a colour-swapped/modded Darth Vader version based on that design, and it is a more accurate Eta-2 However, 75135 still is a good looking set, and displayed in isolation the small regressions over the previous models dont really bother me that much. Besides, i much prefer Obi wan and the dark red colour scheme over Anakin/yellow, so the pilot/colour wins it for me either way. Quote

Dark red is better than yellow, but those little minor things in the set bother me, as it seems a step back instead of an overall improvement. Quote
thorin Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I really liked Encounter on Jakku. It got a lot of hate, but I didn't think it was all that bad. Otherwise, I really liked the Finn polybag that came with the Lego Star Wars video game (even though it didn't come with a bloody handprint helmet... Grrr). 2016 was a rough year for sets... So I spent most of my cash buying 2014 and 2015 sets, or picking stuff up on eBay. Quote

It's bad value for the price, and only Unkar Plutt is a special figure from that set imo. Quote
Dharkan Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 (edited) Why sets so expensive in Europe? I thought GBP and EUR were more valuable than USD. edit: wrong topic sorry. Edited January 3, 2017 by Dharkan Quote

firefox Posted January 21, 2017 Posted January 21, 2017 My top 5 from 2016 All sets in 2016 were way overpriced, so that is not an argument in this list. I went for innovation and fun sets. 1. 75140: Resistance Troop Transporter Finaly a good set with a decent amount of interior to transport figures. It looks like a sausage, but it's cool. 2. 75149: Resistance X-wing Fighter Same as Poe's but lighter colors so detail is shown more. I just love to pick this one up and fly in my living room :) 3. 75155: Rebel U-wing Fighter Innovating design, nice figures. 4. 75135: Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor I like obi one. I like the colors. Anakin's version is better, but hey Anakin is no Obi :) It's just fun to play with :) 5. 75157: Captain Rex's AT-TE Got to love the guts to make this pile of junk in LEGO :) *. 75150: Vader's TIE Advanced vs. A-wing Starfighter This is a special sitation. The A wing in this set is superb! The firing mechanism, the minifigs (pilot and sabine) all great.! I don 't give a bit about darth vader's tie, that's why it did not make the top 5 It was also the most overpriced set of 2016.... Quote
