Miro78 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 It's been a while since I built a Leia figure and with the sad news of her passion late in 2016, I decided to build a figure of her iconic "A New Hope" princess figure with her 2 buns, white dress and wielding a blaster as a tribute. The head was the trickiest part. I was highly inspired by the cuteness of Luc Byard's brickbuilt Leia, but I didn't want her head to be as big or cartoony. Hope you like it. I will build some more characters at this scale as they are not as part count demanding. Couple pictures below and few additional ones on my Flickr account. R.I.P. ecmo47 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 That is a perfect Lego tribute to Carrie Fisher. Very well done! Quote

Here is a follow up to this tribute. I added more articulation to Leia at her waist, neck and shoulders. I also built R2-D2 with retractable 3rd leg, rotating head and pivoting shoulders. Wish I could have added a light brick, but no room for that. I will take more photos and poses when it's gets brighter as I rely on natural light. The scene below is the famous scene of Leia giving R2-D2 the disc with the stolen plans to take to Obi-wan Kenobi, after recording her message. I added an orange glow with my salt block lamp. I might eventually build a surrounding scene from the corridor of the Tontine IV ship from this scene. A New Hope by Miro Dudas, on Flickr Miro Quote
VaderFan2187 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Very nice shot! You should post it in "Star Wars Photography" (if you haven't yet) R2-D2 looks very inquisitive as he looks at the plans :) Quote
