May 25, 200519 yr Governor There has been absolutely no promotional LEGO sets EVER in my neck of the woods... They make me buy all my LEGO. Is very sad...
May 26, 200519 yr I probably will be released later this year, it has to be this year because on the back in the bottom right hand corner it says Blah Blah Blah... 2005 ... Blah Blah Blah :-D
May 26, 200519 yr Author In case you missed out on the news, it WAS already released--as a promotional set with the Dr.Oetker's pudding in Czech Republic, but sadly no hospital nor any other follow-up sets.
May 26, 200519 yr Author I think most of you have already noticed, but just in case, for anybody who doesn't know, I'll mention it anyways: According to Brickset, the set is named "Paramedic." So does this really mean he is a doctor, or does he only have the skills to be a lower-ranked worker for the E(mergency) M(edical) T(reatment) service? And as in the U.S., there hasn't been much promotion of LEGO in products either. The last one was with Tropicana orange juice which included the choice between three mini dinosaur sets (similiar to the ones released with the candies in Japan), but that was like 6 months ago. Long expired.
May 26, 200519 yr does anyone know if lego is going to release a lego city medical theme? just wondering 8-|
May 26, 200519 yr Governor But why would they only release this set in the Czech republic of all places they could release a promotional set?
May 26, 200519 yr Author does anyone know if lego is going to release a lego city medical theme? just wondering 8-| Well, from our previous posts, we are pretty sure that LEGO's not releasing any medical line this year, but there is still hope for the upcoming years. I hope. I hope.
May 26, 200519 yr In case you missed out on the news, it WAS already released--as a promotional set with the Dr.Oetker's pudding in Czech Republic, but sadly no hospital nor any other follow-up sets. oh, nevermind then, but it would be cool :(
May 29, 200519 yr Governor What do you want a Medical theme for? Are all your mini-figures getting sick and kicking the bucket?
May 29, 200519 yr well they have done police and fire so far.- How can you create a proper city without a hospital & ambulances? If you create fires and riots with police and fire- where do all the injured minifigs go?
May 29, 200519 yr Author Hmm. IMO, LEGO really needs to stretch the Medical theme here. All we have seen are a bunch of ambulances, a tiny clininc, a small hospital, and a large hospital having no roof and that was not easily available to the public. So in conclusion, I think all LEGO City/Town fans would like a refreshed and a new approach to a medical theme. This is the case with me, as I have to build my own hospital for my city. And my hospital doesn't look too good. (Shortage of pieces. :( )
May 29, 200519 yr Governor With all the animals LEGO has created over the years they could build a nice zoo. Don't show me pictures of that horrible Duplo zoo either.
May 29, 200519 yr Author Nope. No non-DUPLO zoos either. But zoos aren't a nessecity for a city, unlike hospitals, police stations, fire stations, houses, etc...
May 29, 200519 yr Governor Obviously neccessities are important. But people need the entertainment. Where will the mini-figures take their kids on a lazy Sunday afternoon? The local police station?
May 29, 200519 yr a detailed fairground set or circus would be quite cool rollercoasters, ferris wheel, merry go round etc.
May 31, 200519 yr I saw it aswell. Stupid give away, why are they always given to kids ? :^D you're saying it's a promo set?
May 31, 200519 yr Governor I thought we'd established they were promos given with 10 vanilla Dr.Oetker's puddings in Czech Republic. Perhaps this second set is indication there's a series of them, so maybe a couple more might pop up.

May 31, 200519 yr Governor I had asked for comfirmation about that in the 7266 polybag set thread because I don't have a clue myself.
