I probably will be released later this year, it has to be this year because on the back in the bottom right hand corner it says Blah Blah Blah... 2005 ... Blah Blah Blah :-D

I think most of you have already noticed, but just in case, for anybody who doesn't know, I'll mention it anyways:

According to Brickset, the set is named "Paramedic." So does this really mean he is a doctor, or does he only have the skills to be a lower-ranked worker for the E(mergency) M(edical) T(reatment) service?

And as in the U.S., there hasn't been much promotion of LEGO in products either. The last one was with Tropicana orange juice which included the choice between three mini dinosaur sets (similiar to the ones released with the candies in Japan), but that was like 6 months ago. Long expired.

does anyone know if lego is going to release a lego city medical theme? just wondering 8-|

Well, from our previous posts, we are pretty sure that LEGO's not releasing any medical line this year, but there is still hope for the upcoming years. I hope. I hope.

In case you missed out on the news, it WAS already released--as a promotional set with the Dr.Oetker's pudding in Czech Republic, but sadly no hospital nor any other follow-up sets.

oh, nevermind then, but it would be cool :(

well they have done police and fire so far.- How can you create a proper city without a hospital & ambulances? If you create fires and riots with police and fire- where do all the injured minifigs go?

Hmm. IMO, LEGO really needs to stretch the Medical theme here. All we have seen are a bunch of ambulances, a tiny clininc, a small hospital, and a large hospital having no roof and that was not easily available to the public.

So in conclusion, I think all LEGO City/Town fans would like a refreshed and a new approach to a medical theme. This is the case with me, as I have to build my own hospital for my city. And my hospital doesn't look too good. (Shortage of pieces. :( )

Obviously neccessities are important. But people need the entertainment. Where will the mini-figures take their kids on a lazy Sunday afternoon? The local police station?

I thought we'd established they were promos given with 10 vanilla Dr.Oetker's puddings in Czech Republic.

Perhaps this second set is indication there's a series of them, so maybe a couple more might pop up.
