mutley777 Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Very nice review *vader* . I am really struggling on whether or not i should buy this set or the dwarf mine set. In fact the whole castle line has been one huge temptation for me :-D . The problem is i know if i buy one set from this great line i will want them all :-D . I don't think my wife would be very pleased if i was buying all of 2 lego lines X-D . Quote
Vader Posted January 22, 2008 Author Posted January 22, 2008 Thanks for the review of a set I would otherwise probably have passed on. Out of curiosity how did you 'know it was for you'? You seem to be building quite a collection. Why castle now? Was the fantasy element all it took? Just curious. Thanks again and God Bless, Nathan The look of the set simply caught my eye as something different, i thought it was just new and fresh. I mean the whole giant troll pulling a battle wagon seemed really cool, as i had the dwarf mine already i had a great appreciation for the trolls also. For me it is the whole fantasy element to them, i always liked the old castle sets build wise but knight vs knight just didn't do it for me. I remember when the first castle set with a wizard and dragon came out and i really loved those, back then it was great but lego never followed it up to the full extent. I also really like the whole colour scheme on all the figs, they're bright yet don't suffer from the over usage of colour like the KK line did. My collection is growing at a nice rate and would be alot bigger if more shops here in England had them. Very nice review *vader* . Well i really love the line as i've said many times before, so you know i'm going to encourage you to buy them X-D The funny thing is i thought that my wife would moan when i bought the first few castle sets, however she prefered them and started to build them for me....though i'm not sure that's a good thing :-D So that's why i now build all sets whilst she's at work ;-) Quote

iamded Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 (edited) Am I the only one who thinks this helmet looks a bit like the Juggernaut from X-men? Now that you mention it; It looks near exactly like Juggernaut's helmet! :-P Good spotting! ~Peace Edited January 22, 2008 by iamded Quote
Norro Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I got one of these today (probably just because of this review), can't say the fantasy elements are going up in my opinion, but I had to know why people seemed to like this set.... And while neither will get much use from me, I prefer dark tan trolls. God Bless, Nathan Quote

It's a crap deal that will stop alot of people from getting alot of sets over here >:-( Quote

natelite Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Hey if you have trolls that need new homes then you know where to send them X-D to the apartment above the green grocer? :-P kinda small don't you think? :-P Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Wow, seems all the Euro' countries are getting this set! (but that's obvious; it's on UK SAH) I wonder why the US seems to be out of the bubble on this one? I really want this set, mainly for the troll and the goblin helmet and the knight helmet(the one that looks like he's a Crusader-love it) and the wagon. Quote
