Hello everyone!

As we all know, there is an innumerable number of potential new moulds for pieces out there.

I just want to know, are there any types of new pieces that would benefit LEGO Star Wars?

For me, I would have:

  • A waist-attached piece (like TLBM Batman belt) with a clip on the side, to clip on minifigures' lightsabers and blasters.
  • A new blade piece for the darksaber: resembling the top of the ninja sword but with a bar at the bottom to attach to a lightsaber hilt.

Let me know if you all have any ideas. :classic:

I'd really like to see a better selection of concave bowed pieces. As it stands, the selection is pretty piss poor, unless you're in to arch ways. Something like the 1x2 bowed plates, but concave, would be a godsend. So many star wars vehicles could benefit from it (*cough* phantom II *cough*), but they'd be tremendously useful throughout all themes.

Very true indeed! How had I not thought of that

New head molds for alien species such as the Quarren, Aqualish, Gotal and Kaminoans would be amazing.

A proper padawan hairpiece for Obi-Wan and Anakin is also 18 years overdue. Given that every other major character has had a unique hair mold made specifically for them it amazes me this one still hasn't been done yet. Another useful hairpiece I'd like to see is the twin looped braids that both Depa Billaba and Cloud City Leia wear.

I'm pretty happy with the blasters we have although I wouldn't mind a proper silver pistol for Jango Fett and Queen Amidala rather than the fire nozzel piece.

I don't think we will see a belt with a side clip or holster. I think one of the design restrictions is to not impede the arms, which swing below the waist line. But I love the idea of some sort of belt clip. The Darksaber puzzles me. They have the absolute perfect piece for the Darksaber over in the Ninjago line. This piece https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=11439pb03&idColor=19#T=C&C=19  in a trans purple with a Lightsaber hilt.

As for parts I want? Anything to smooth out and add some flow to the undersides.

So today I was just looking at my Dak Raltar minifigure, and it struck me about how awesome it would be to get a Rebel X-wing Pilot with a molded visor. Kinda like this latest?cb=20150925124330 but instead with the standard OT Rebel helmet: 41-Wfg5VETL.jpg

a range of useful bricks in flesh to make a decent landspeeder, 1 length technic axle with stud on the end to add cheese slopes to new droid bodies, new alien heads to pad out the universe and +1 on the concave slopes.

I'd quite like to see droid body pieces improved to allow the head to spin. Ether have a single stud in the centre or have the bottom section of a 2x2 turntable moulded instead of studs. I'd prefer the latter as you could fill up the gaps on the dome by using the standard disk piece that forms the top of the turntable. Ooh and 2x5 or even 2x6 wedge plates would be so useful.

For starters, I would appreciate when LEGO make a variation of this 32555.JPG (Technic Brick 5 x 5 Right Angle (1 x 4 - 1 x 4), with an extra side; three sides total; a Technic Brick 5 x 6 (1 x 4 - 1 x 4 - 1 x 4).

A certain element will dramatically improve the structure of my TIE Fighter; establishing a more piece efficient and sturdier connection for the solar panels to the cockpit and visa versa.

I'm not 100% on what droid you mean, but I'd really like an R2D2 with some spinning head action plus maybe a third leg attachment. Also I think the battle droids could probably use a complete re-do. I mean I'd doubt they would do it, but with the current model there is a loss of movement and the arms and hands tend to break. Maybe one day... new blaster molds would be awesome, maybe not really specific ones based on movie guns, but just some general ones that all of the figures could use. I think a couple light sabers with maybe some printing would be awesome too. And of course new alien molds would be great. Maybe a cloth hood too? I'm not sure how well it would function, but it would look pretty good.

Ah sorry, yeah I meant astromech droid bodies.

+1 on the spinning droid heads. I definitely think the method of attaching with one stud is the best way to go. A 3rd leg attachment would be great as well.

Not really a new part but I wish they'd go back to the black heads with the small printed faces (from ~2012) and stop using angry clone

-Molds for more Alien Species or color variation for what we have. Give us brown Ithorians, yellowish Bith, white Mon Calamari.

-Belts for stormtroopers and other Imperials like the Batman Movie version.

YES, please.  And while they're at it, start printing minifigure legs all the way down.  I don't even care about dual-molding as much as I care about the laziness of incomplete prints.  Just compare the 2014 OT Stormtrooper legs to this guy from "Imperial Inspection" back in 2005:

It's sad when 12-year-old minifigures are more accurate than the current ones (by the way, the old printed legs work pretty well with the new torso; I'll post a picture later if I can).

Also, I know I've said this elsewhere, but I'd like to see a proper canopy for System-scale Snowspeeders.  Kind of like a mini version of the new UCS canopy.

The legs on both those Stotmtroopers goes to the same place... it's just that the design is different. They can't print to the bottom due to the shape of the pad they use to print.

The canopy for the Snowspeeder is something that's definitely needed. I actually quite like the official Lego speeder but with a correct canopy piece it would be so much better.

The heads don't bother me at all on Stormtroopers (or any other kind of trooper to be honest) as the helmet stays on mine so the print underneath is irrelevant. Black heads would probably be more accurate in the sense of the black collar piece stormies wear being visible rather than it being a flesh head but as you can see from the image above it's not really visible anyway.

As others have said, blaster moulds would be nice but not overly important.

These are all mostly minifigure things to make them more accurate though and I can overlook them for the most part. The recent X-Wing canopy shows how that can really update a set and the T-47 canopy really should get an update.
