Mr Spielbrick Posted January 17, 2010 Author Posted January 17, 2010 Sorry for the double-post, but editing the last post again won't get this noticed at all, and creating a whole new topic for two figs... well... I thought this was the 'best' solution. Barely recovered from Ten's farewell, I put together two minifigs of sinister Time Lords: Bring on Eleven, sure, but I still like Ten! He could have done so much more! So, I'll see if I can add to his adventures, even if it's literally on a mini scale. Hopefully soon, there'll be a short test episode online of a Doctor Who animation with my minifigures and TARDIS set. If it's fun to make and if people are interested, there should be more episodes. DOCTOR WHO will return in The Universal Mirror Quote

hewkii9 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Rassilon is perfect! [well, maybe a clear diamond on his staff, but that's getting nitpicky] I'm really looking forward to all the Series 5 minifigs [especially the Vampires] Quote
-JD- Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 No joke, I did all the characters from the last episode two weeks ago, and never posted them. My Rassilon is alsmost the same as yours! Here are some pictures: Ood Sigma Doctor and Wilfred The Master Timelords These are all from my upcoming brickfilm! I love your figures. Nice way to make Matt! Quote
MrCustomizer Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Darn it! The first thing that popped into my head when I saw the Plo Koon head was OOD! But you beat me to it. When I get him I'll cast a hand painted Ood head. ;) The Time Lord is perfect Mr Spielbrick! ~MC Quote
Internets Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Feel free to post constructive critisism and perhaps even your own Doctor Who creations!I only got as far as this digital creation. I'll order the pieces one day... Quote
Batbrick Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Just gotta say Mr Spielbrick, despite hating The End of Time with an unholy passion of loathing that could fuel a thousand great suns, your Rassilon figure is mindblowingly awesome. He just needs a clear end on the staff I think. Batbrick Away! Quote
Andeh Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 (edited) I\'m trying to create the Doctor Who characters but in yellow. Do you think this head is good for The Master? Edited February 1, 2010 by Andy_D6 Quote

hewkii9 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Don't wanna hijack this thread, but I'm curious as to why you hated it so much. There's a Doctor Who thread over in Culture and Multimedia for this, but at a guess I'd say the drawn-out regeneration sequence, bringing the Time Lords back [and they're evil now] just to neatly send them away again, and/or the overuse of prophets, visionaries, seers, portents of doom, and the words 'darkness' and 'fire' Quote
TheShnomon Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 I\'m trying to create the Doctor Who characters but in yellow. Do you think this head is good for The Master? If it weren't for the stubble, that'd be perfect for the Harold Saxon incarnation. Quote
AllanSmith Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Reading this topic reminded me of a MOC I did in 1998 (12 years ago) of Ace, the Tardis and 2 Daleks. Quote
KDog Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 If it weren't for the stubble, that'd be perfect for the Harold Saxon incarnation. I think it would work for the resurrected Master, as he was a bit scruffier. Quote
TheShnomon Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 that's true, but has Lego done a naked male yellow body? and i've also gotta' agree with Batbrick on that note, while those minifigs look great i also hated The End Of Time, it ruined The Master. they took his character, stomped it, and then threw it in the ring with Stone Cold Steve Austin. they should've left him dead. I haven't seen the specials yet but in the 30 seasons / series of Doctor Who no one ever stays dead and what they do to the characters are lame. I have only seen the four new series and I'm already sick of the Deleks, they just keep coming back over and over worse every time. That's just how it is, people never die. Also hasn't The Master died about 5 times now? Quote

It even got to the point in the old series where he quite clearly was killed in a fire, and then showed up a little while later like nothing was wrong, with no explanation. Quote
Mr Spielbrick Posted February 14, 2010 Author Posted February 14, 2010 Thanks for the comments, everyone! Oh, just looking at those Toy Fair pictures almost has me wishing it were October already. Almost, cos, well, I've got lots of fun plans in my life that will hopefully happen before that time. But still! Wow! The line-up of new minifigs in particular has me daydreaming... - new Draco Malfoy face for David Tennant (admit it, it sooo works! with the smirk and his left eyebrow lifted higher) - caretaker Filch's torso for Paul McGann / Eighth Doctor, with Dastan's hair from Prince of Persia - Ginny and Luna torso's for Rose and maybe Donna, plus Ginny's hair for Donna? - or perhaps for Donna the female singer's hair from the second Minifigures wave - the Ben Kingsley character from PoP has the ultimate Anthony Ainley Master face, combined with the Minifigure vampire's hair - the Minifigure skater's hair might work for Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor And the wishful thinking part: if we'd get Bellatrix' hair in some form of brown or blonde, it'd work rather well for River Song. If there could be an uncle Vernon figure as he looks in the game somewhere down the line, we'd have a brown suit! Mutt Jones / Oliver Wood hair + new Draco face + brown suit would be the definitive, iconic Tenth Doctor Lego minifigure. So, TLC... Thanks for the FANTASTIC new lines! (The Star Wars stuff looks galaxies beyond amazing, too. Who just got in charge of minifig design? Cos I wanna hug him/her!) And here's hoping for that brown suit. Pretty please? Quote
Andeh Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Mutt Jones / Oliver Wood hair + new Draco face + brown suit would be the definitive, iconic Tenth Doctor Lego minifigure. I'm not so sure about the Draco face. If this face would ever come in peach, http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb278 , then I think it would be a brilliant face for The Doctor. I am currently using this face for The Doctor as my creations are in yellow. Quote
hewkii9 Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I'm thinking that Ginny's hair works perfect for Amy, and did you notice the dark orange Twin helmet from SPIII? Sycorax! Quote
Sonic Screwdriver Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I'm thinking that Ginny's hair works perfect for Amy, and did you notice the dark orange Twin helmet from SPIII? Sycorax! Funny you should say that! I was watching the preview trailer for the new Series 5, and I was thinking that Amy was what I envisioned Ginny Weasley to look like when reading the Harry Potter books. Andeh Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 After seeing pictures of the Prince Persia sets, I think how about the Ostrich Jokey head for The Master in The End Of Time? With stubby and scruffy and dirty face, I think it could work well. Quote
Mr Spielbrick Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 Having put one of those Prince of Persia ideas into practice, here is the result: Since I was fidgeting anyway, I thought I'd create an Eric Roberts TV movie Master as well. He can be found on my Flickr page. By the way: I'm still planning on making a short Doctor Who brick flick. I love John Debney's version of the theme and now that my McGann fig starts to actually look a bit like him... Just seems like a nice idea. That clone trooper 'skirt' over the legs works alright visually, but it does rather limit the movement of the character. Oh well. I'll figure something out. Been having too many fun story ideas to pass up on the chance just 'cos the Soon To Be Last Time Lord likes his coat long. Quote
Special K Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 These are radical can you do some more please??? Thanks Quote
