Posted January 20, 20178 yr Here are some pics and links to more pics of My Mission to Jabba's Palace Moc. I Built this as a play set style Moc two days before Christmas so that my kids can play in Jabba's Palace, I spent the last two weeks or so sourcing the minifigs. Having shown the Moc at Brickfair AL and now taken the pics, my 10 year old son has corrected me on the fact that the blue lady behind Bobba is possibly a Jedi. I wasn't going to photograph and edit again, so please excuse that error and imagine it is a long lost sibling of her who is now a dancer in Max Rebo's band. The trapdoor is fully functional and lead down a tunnel that ends in the Rancor pit. Stair ways lead off the back and side in all directions, allowing for further add on's as needed. A few features I particularly like: The Red Blanket that Jabba sits on, it is a cape from one of those giant knight figures and Max Rebo's drum kit, this took a few hours to build but I love the effect that I achieved. As always, thanks for looking, I hope you enjoy, more images are on my Flickr via the links. Cheers. January 20, 20178 yr Sweet, your kids must love this. Did they have a hand in it? Does the trap door collapse downwards or something?

Yeah they do, though they enjoy sticking Creepers or Lego Friends down there more. YES trapdoor collapses, there is a technic axle that pushes through the back. when it is extended the door cannot fall, when I pull it back, unlucky minifigure falls through. Cheers!
January 20, 20178 yr Oh damn, this looks wonderful! I absolutely adore anything Jabba's palace, this is one of my favorites. I assume your children have loads of fun with this, I know I would. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

Thanks I wanted to have some contrast in the texture. 9 hours ago, peedeejay said: This looks very cool. Now you only need to build a detachable roof! ;-) Ha, I need to rebuild it in a circle shape :) 11 hours ago, JDbricks said: Oh damn, this looks wonderful! They currently have it filled with friends cats ? 12 hours ago, VaderFan2187 said: Wow, very nice! Very detailed and yet looks highly playable! Thanks, the playability was the main goal- as I was building my son asked if they could have it to play with :)

It is expanded from the 'set'one in size but I like the red knights cape as a blanket the most :) I spent a fair bit of money picking up all the aliens, I do also loveg effect though. Cheers

I had most but had to pick up a few, I was pleased because I had most stuff for this build already :) On 1/22/2017 at 2:03 PM, 47flipfell said: fascinating work! how many pieces in total ? Thanks. Piece count is so hard- no real idea, once I had the layout though it was a fairly simple build, the upper half is mainly just a combo of tan bricks I had on hand and some tile.
February 17, 20178 yr that is just so cool its perfect if TLG produced this I would buy it in a heart beat regardless of cost
