Posted January 21, 200817 yr Well i didn't found it somewhere else so i thought it would be a good thing if i would post this. On Brickbitz are since last week's 7732, the 7731 and 7741 has arrived. 7731 Mail Van 7741 Police Helicopter They also have released previews on the new coastguard sets (summer '08): Remember the pictures are primilery (or however you write it) and could be different to the released set. Edit by Hinckley: TLC asked us to remove these images from our site. Please don't re-post them here... Links removed. You may have to refresh the pages to see the pictures. And one thing i wanted to discuss is the tail from the Helicopter: EDIT: Removed Image. TLC has requested us to not post this image. Isn't that the big Airplane Tail ?? If so, it has a orange underside !! yay !! Well that's about it. - RupeeClock
January 21, 200817 yr The reason you could not find any pictures on Eurobricks is because TLC has requested that they be removed. I would advise you to do the same ;-) -Chuck
January 21, 200817 yr Gee... Brickbitz has our scoop from last year... :-| Even so, TLC has asked us to remove images from this line. Please don't re-post them until later. *sweet*

January 21, 200817 yr I definitly can't wait for these sets to be released this summer. I especially *wub* the look of the helicopter. This set kind of looks like the Sikorsky H-53 Sea Stallion (USAF). I plan to modify the helicopter to fit the H-53 concept. As for the other sets, I still am undecided. All depends on $ and whether they have modifying possibilities. I will have to see if the others have useful parts. Model On!!
January 21, 200817 yr Well, it's kinda old news, but thanks for the effort :-$ I still love all the orange and the large boat set ;-) The lego company has been asking to remove images aswell, in such a case I probably wouldn't flash them around as much anymore *wacko*
January 21, 200817 yr That is strange: Homepage Brickbitz: "We are now an official LEGO UK affiliate partner." But the pics are still to be seen on their pages. 8-| |-/
January 21, 200817 yr This is strange as well: The picture of the new coast guard helicopter and the big ship are in the Dutch 2008 catalog.... But hey: if TLC does not want me to see them I'll just close my eyes everytime I browse that particular page in my catalog, no problem :-P
January 21, 200817 yr Author Sorry sorry sorry sorry. :'-( It's always me again, well ok think i can better just never start a topic about new sets again ok? Well a sad Rupee leaves the scene again, goodbey.

But hey: if TLC does not want me to see them I'll just close my eyes everytime I browse that particular page in my catalog, no problem :-P :-D :-D :-D Really? Is it just those two sets? I know the helicopter has been in Brickmaster magazine. Could you do me a favor? Is there a link to a scan of this catalog somewhere? Or could you scan the page for me if you have the time? Thanks in advance, either way, for your help.
January 23, 200817 yr Brickbitz is now demanded to delete the previews too. ... and I still wonder why they were able to show them two more days as affiliate. 8-|
January 23, 200817 yr ... and I still wonder why they were able to show them two more days as affiliate. 8-| The affiliate program doesn't go directly through LEGO, it goes through a third party and LEGO doesn't seem to directly have a consistent involvement with or content regulation of the affiliate site. Plus we don't know for sure if Brickbitz was asked to take those pictures down, or-as a member here-saw us take ours down and take his down as well...
January 23, 200817 yr The affiliate program doesn't go directly through LEGO, it goes through a third party and LEGO doesn't seem to directly have a consistent involvement with or content regulation of the affiliate site. True, another well known affiliate site still has pictures. I did indeed decide to remove them after discovering that TLC had requested Eurobricks to remove the offending images. As a dedicated LEGO fan I have no desire to go against the wishes of TLC. We all know where these images can be found , if you really want to look for them. Furthermore I won't bother with preliminary stuff in future, it's not worth the hassle. We can all see the images here. :-)
January 23, 200817 yr :-D :-D :-D Really? Is it just those two sets? I know the helicopter has been in Brickmaster magazine. Could you do me a favor? Is there a link to a scan of this catalog somewhere? Or could you scan the page for me if you have the time? Thanks in advance, either way, for your help. Sorry, I completely lost track of this topic. There is one page (page 40 of the Dutch catalog) that has a picture of the new coast guard sets. I don't have a link, a scanner, or camera right now :-/ . I will try to let my linguistic powers do the showing of what's on this particular page: Imagine a rough sea, just outside a big city that is barely visible on the heavy-raincloud-darkened horizon. We see the control tower on the rocks with a brave coast guard minifigure, standing on the balcony firmly holding his binoculars against the sweeping rain with one hand; holding on to the water drenched railing with the other, gazing at the round escape-pod dingy (surrounded by ferocious sharks) occupied by a person holding a flare. Despite the shark invested sea another coast guard minifigure fearlessly dived into the freezing water from the nearby big coast guard ship with his diving gear on. This man is either heroic and should be made an EB-fellow, or completely distasteful to the sharks (did he eat too much garlic during his candlelight supper? We may never know). While he is making his way towards the bloke-in-distress, fighting against the waves, he does not notice the big coast guard helicopter that is hanging above the scene, it's side door opened and a crewman dangling underneath, attached to the aircraft only with a small lifeline, ready to pick up the victim and retrieve him towards a save haven. Who needs pictures anyway? :-P By the way, the page does not show setnumbers or setnames, just: "New! Lego City Coast guard, june 2008" accompanied by the above pictured picture... Hope this helps. ;-)
January 23, 200817 yr Er...thanks. But I found it and posted it in the City Pics '08 thread already... X-D
January 23, 200817 yr Er...thanks. But I found it and posted it in the City Pics '08 thread already... X-D No you didn't... Not this particular picture (at least I can't find it, after a search in the mentioned topic...) Curious though that the helicopter and boat in my catalog change from the pictures of the setboxes posted in the 2008 thread, many pieces are different couloured or just totally different, like the first deck of the boat: on the box there is a large white fence there, in my catalog two windows.... :-/
January 23, 200817 yr Edit by Hinckley: TLC asked us to remove these images from our site. Please don't re-post them here... Links removed. Lolwut What was the picture of?
January 24, 200817 yr Author LolwutWhat was the picture of? The fat and dark red message were links to 5 previews on brickbitz from the new coastguards, the light red message was a picture from the CG helicopter. - RupeeClock
January 24, 200817 yr This one? If so, it's in the first post of the topic... Nope. As soon as I can get a camera I'll take a picture of it.
January 24, 200817 yr Nope. As soon as I can get a camera I'll take a picture of it. Yay! More pictures. X-D Thanks in advance.

Well, after the lingual description we will now switch to the graphic version of that particular picture X-D Here it is, a scan of page 40 of the Dutch catalog. Interesting sidenote: the sets use some different parts than we saw in the box-art pictures (windows of the boat, helicopter engines). Nothing unusual, but strange to see that they placed pre-liminary designs in a catalog.... Link to the picture in my brickshelf
