A time when villages weren't burnt or plundered, and peasants murdered or taken as slaves. A time when you didn't walk in fear and look over your shoulder at every turn. A time when you could rest under a tree, and know no drow would slaughter you in your sleep.

First build of the year (at last) :P
and its pretty simple. Just a small scene to start with larger ones on the way. The Hill was a nice challenge to try and create, and I needed another tree design so this was the perfect time to try it out. I'm pretty happy overall. I will probably post one or two builds today or tomorrow. Hope you enjoy :)

P.s. I did mean it to seem a little blocky :P

Nice vignette! My one complaint is that the colors are too uniform, with the same greens in the tree and grass, and the figure's clothing and food, too. If there were better contrast between them, or perhaps just an additional splash of color somewhere, like a patch of flowers, I think it would improve the image and get it a bit more visual "pop". Other than that, nice techniques and a pleasing setup.

Great little vignette, Maestro.  The tree is superb, and you did an excellent job with the hill as well.
Until Henjin brought up the colors, I never even though of it, but I have to say I agree with him. A couple flowers, or something like that, would look really nice here :classic:

Thanks Henjin and LittleJohn, I diffidently agree with you guys, some flowers would make this much better. Although I did originally label this moc 'Green'

Awesome tree and very nice hill, Maestro, the foliage is really nicely done, and the little mound is something I don't actually see in LEGO all that often either!  Keep it up! :classic:

Excellent little build, I love the density of the tree leaves in particular.

That was the idea with the tree, glad you noticed it.
