Jurss Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Pretty rough. Could work better only on fresh potatos still in summer, not those which are digged in autumn for wintertime. Quote
Jim Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Hehe you never cease to amaze me and your creations always put a smile on my face Quote
bord4kop Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 (edited) Excellent machine again :D Edited February 3, 2017 by bord4kop Quote
neepheid Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Hah, that's really cool. It reminds me of a machine which basically rumbled the skins off of potatoes like that when I was working in a hotel kitchen when I was young. It was all enclosed though (bah, health and safety!) so seeing the potato (or tattie, as I would call it) rumbling around in there pleased me. I also remember that even with the professional/industrial machine you still had a little bit of peeling/taking off bad bits to do once the machine was finished. Great model! Quote
Systemtech Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 That is awesome. Very very fun build. Quote
RohanBeckett Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 that is hilarious! horribly inefficient... but hilarious nonetheless! :D I was expecting some form of sharp blade.... but was quite surprised at how well the large curved racks stripped away the skin... Quote
SamS Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Next step is to make another module that will slice them. Perhaps using a fast-spinning 40 tooth gear like a saw? I love this kind of ingenuity. Brilliant. Quote
tkatt Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Another great creation from uefchen. And also a good reminder to wash any used Lego you might buy, as the previous owner may have been using it to prepare food or clean cat litter. Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 That is an awesome machine, though it is terribly inefficient. Quote
oracid Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Great! Did you be inspired by a real machine or is it a personal creation? Quote
Chilly Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 This is great. Any chance of changing the topic title so it is easily searched for in the future? Quote
