Posted January 23, 200817 yr Well I've built another tank, my personal favourite so far. It is a "Half Combat vwichle Half Artillery gun", as It can take on both roles, but its main role is to bombard the heck out of enemies. We start with a general overvew. Both top hatches open, in this model they are in a "Checker Board" Config, but they may be re arranged. Turret from one side. And the other... Note the "Ladder" on the side. Side of the tank, Back of the turret, some SNOT used here. A look inside the turret, this shows the front inside, the turret is "Modular" So its easy to remove. Also shows the crew of 3 (They really fit) The Front of the turret removed, showing the back in place. One of the Ammo bundles is pulled out. 2 like this can be stored in the back of the turret, and 3 more in the tank itself I belive. This is the gun romoved, I think its made in quite a realistic way. The turret opened up, showing the inside with both front and back in place. In Battle position. With Crew. Escort! Facts - The tank can carry about 24 shells inside. Has a Crew of 3. 102 mm gun makes this the highest calliber tank around. Has side armour where items may be stored. Has a optional mounted MN (Not pictured) Comments are appreciated. Stauder :-)
January 23, 200817 yr I love it! *wub* You've really excelled here Stauder, this tank is beautiful! The asymmetry of it makes it look even better and realistic, and the grey and bley mixing works really well I think. I love that it can actually fit all three men, you have designed this thing excellently! The modular system is great too, as well as the inside of the turret. I wish I could make something like this, brilliant work! *y* Batbrick Something! *wacko*
January 23, 200817 yr This isn't half bad. Ok, it's pretty good, I'll admit. :-) Almost makes me hate to do this ... *dials the phone* Yes, I'd like to report an illegally parked tank. *phone chatter* No, I'm not kidding. I called one in last week too. *phone chatter* Yes, that was me. *phone chatter* Don't blame me if you wrecked three tow trucks taking it out, it was illegally parked. Now come get this one, same place as the last. Oh, and bring more trucks this time. *angry chatter* Do you know who I am? I'm the incredibly famous and widely loved host of EB News Presents! *phone chatter* Well, sure, I can try to get you Hinckley's autograph, what would you like him to sign? *phone chatter* Oh, he has that many unpaid parking tickets? Well, I'll see what I can do when we have him on again, which I'm sure we will, we always do. ;-) *phone chatter* Great, see you shortly. *hangs up* The things I go through ... :-|
January 23, 200817 yr I think this is pretty darn good! *sweet* I love how you used that turntable; it's very similar to a real tank. The ammo is a cool touch too. My only big dislike is the slope pieces on the top-side of the main body; personally I'd do that whole area flatter.

Thanks, I was planning to do that, but then the MFs woulding fit inside very well... :-/ As for you shadows... Ill have lots more where that came from... Now where did you park that car of yours? January 24, 200817 yr Yowza! Amazing, I personally loved the inside of the tank. 3 Thumbs Up *y* *y* *y* .
January 24, 200817 yr Wow! I absolutley love the turret there, Stauder. Great configuration of all the hatches, and I think the top could use maybe a bar that goes around the opening, and maybe a machine gun turret and grenade launchers on the side. Also, I never would have though of using that gear for a tank turntable. The opening makes it perfect for crew to get inside of it. The body, on the other hand, doesn't quite match the excellence of the turret. Its too small compared to the the turret, and the driving crew should be inside of the body, as I am pretty sure it is impossible to steer from a tank turret. I would love to see a White Death, take 2, with a bigger body, covering over the treads, and maybe a few little details added onto the turret (I know, I said it again :-P ) Other than those minor adjustments, Great work! -Chuck
January 24, 200817 yr I really like this - excellent work Mr Stauder, EXCELLENT! The turret ring is inspired and very realistic, the interior is super-cool and the turret shape itself is really nice. My only (ONLY) quibble is the low ammo' capacity - I reckon that would severely limit its range of operations before it had to reload - and I don't think it's a realistic figure, a tank that size should be able to carry more shells. But that really is just me being picky - the actual design is A1. Dr. S.
January 25, 200817 yr Author Thanks for the comments, I have pics of the MG, Gonna post them soon. Now to the rest of ya hecklers X-D - Ill see what I can do about the space limits in there. Yes a real tank carries about 60shells I belive, but then again a real tank weighs 60 tonnes and is not made of ABS platic... X-D :-P This weekend I will give it a tune up and see what I come up with. Tanks (Pun intended) for the comments! EDIT - The Pics! As has been requested the MG mounted. And the armour partially Dis-Assambled. Stauder Edited February 4, 200817 yr by Stauder
February 4, 200817 yr Thanks for the extra pics Stauder. I love the MG mounted, it looks fantastic, great use of those links as the ammunition too. Its great to see the inner workings of the tank too, the turret in particular is great. I understand how the side armour is fitted on now too, very clever. Thanks for the pics Stauder, and you're help, APC here I come! >:-) Batbrick Away! >:-)
