General Zen Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Yavin four base set. Includes rebels soldiers, pilots, techincians, luke, leia and more! Complete with Yavin defense towers, debriefing room, and hanger area. This sounds like a cool idea. What do you think guys? Quote
JimBee Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 oh yeah... i like the Yavin 4 base idea, that and mmaybe a treench death star with vaders tiefighter and lukes x wing, that would be so symbolic and dramatic... :-P ;-) and do you guys think the figs should be yellow, to show the true legoness for 10 years, or flesh, to symbolize how lego has changed? Quote
Order66 Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 There should be one for OT and one for PT because everybody has diffrent opinions...a lot of thme to Quote
Belloq Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Am exploding Jarjar miniig? One that you just press a button, and BAM! it explodes? The Kid Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 My Huge set idea (everyone will flame becuase it's PT)[snip] So, what do you think? I think that would cost slightly more than $150 :-P TK Quote
Belloq Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I think that would cost slightly more than $150 :-PTK Yup, probably, but I think its bold enough to say that it would be a preety cool set, lots of new figs *y* Quote
sam89 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 When was the last time LEGO released a set with 28 minifigs? :-P Quote
mutley777 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I would guess that the new MTT *wub* is the most figs ever with one set. Now i am sure someone will tell me i am wrong :-D Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) Thats a really good idea Eothein ;-) Like I said TLC need to hit big for that special bday and in order to do that it needs to be really iconic and from ANH ;-) That Falcon looks so puny sitting next to oversized X-wings, Y-wings (and yada yada yada) Since TLC release already every iconic ship (UCS or Mf), its going to be very interesting to see the line up for 2009 especially regarding the OT ;-) *yoda* I totally agree with you in both aspects, xwingyoda: -A Millenium Falcon would look puny sitting next to oversized fighters. And by the way: I don't think TLG wants to release a Millenium Falcon next year since they already released this big UCS version last year. -I'm, too, are very curious what 2009 will - apart from the anniversary set we're discussing about in this topic - see as OT sets. :'-) I mean and hope: There surely must be some more OT sets than this year since it'll be the 10th anniversary! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It seems that some of you who'd like to see a RBR like me, too, wish to have a Wedge Antilles minifig in this set. Why?! I mean: This would be absolutely unnecessary and boring since we've got this minifig already in the X-Wing Fighter special edition set! Absolutely necessary would be Princess Leia in the same outfit like in the UCS Millenium Falcon, Lieutenant Pello Scrambas, a Tantive 4 Rebel Pilot and an Imperial Officer in black suit! - It's a pity that we did get only three different Imperial officers until know (the black one in the Imperial Shuttle set, the "normal" one and Grand Moff Tarkin) although it would really be not a very big job for TLG to release very different officer types - in contrast to building a completely new mold for a new creature! :-( Edited January 29, 2008 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
Trudop561 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 It could be one set from the 1-2-3 episode and one set from the original saga. The 1-2-3 episode set could be a Jedi temple The old saga set could be a Tantive IV with : -Princess Leia -C3-PO -R2-D2 -Captain Antilies -1 astromech droid -2 or 3 rebel soldiers - *vader* -3 or 4 stormtroopers 8- Quote
General Kannon Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I know it would be expensive, I know it would be big huge, I know there would be a lot of minifigs (a bad thing how?) But how about a full size AT-AT with a full complement of snow troopers(40 i think) and crew. I know it may be far fetched, but it would be awesome. Quote

Any way, I think it would be awsome, but more like $200 US dollers. But, if Lego wanted a set that big, I'ld vote for it! Quote
Piranha Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Well here is another idea for the set Yavin VI Secret Rebel Base 12000+ Pieces 8-12 Figs - Includes huge temple, that opens up so it can become a display model and a playset - 1 X-wing fighter, 1 Y-wing fighter, 2 little troop carrying crafts, 1 repair craft - 2 Tower Turrets - Lots of foliage around consisting of palm trees and other plants - Figures include, Luke, Leia, Han, C3P0, R2D2, New colored R2 unit, General?, 2 Rebel troopers with new helms and Wedge *wub* I would love to see that or the Jedi Temple Idea I posted awhile back, both would make great models and playsets, plus would show that SW buildings can work! P This is actually a brilliant idea. Although I'm thinking 12000 pieces is a typo? :-P I think the idea of it opening up is excellent. And it could also be applied to other 'bases'; e.g. the Death Star or Cloud City. For example, the Death Star model built a while back by a EB member - Baronsat(?). It could be something like that with plates that fold down around it to create the 'Death Star' effect. TK Quote
dunamis Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 To me, an iconic set would have to be something from the OT. We've pretty much done all the iconic ships/vehicles so that leaves a location. We have the rumored minifig scale death star coming up so that leaves a few locals: Jabba Palace - could have a lot of minifigs and would fit in nicely with the sail barge Endor bunker - lots of ewoks, stormies, rebels, etc. Fits in nicely with AT-ST, AT-AT & imperial shuttle Cloud City - already been there done that Hoth - they already blew this one Cantina - I know this was done before, but if they really did it up right with 1,200 pieces and 10-15 minifigs this could be a winner! Owen Farm - everyone remembers where Luke got his start and this actually crosses the bridge between the OT and PT. Could have minifigs from both eras. My choices would be a redesign of the Cantina followed by Jabba's Palace. Can't wait for the leaked photos in about a year... *y* Quote

zz-80 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I'm definately for the ones that voted OT / Rebel Blockade Runner / Minifig version. *y* Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I would say say the Emp's Throne Room. That'll be a great idea for the "normal" SW sets! I hope TLG will release something like that - with Palpatine with this light blue flashes in his hands (like I saw on a pic on 1000steine.de), Luke, Darth Vader and two Imperial Royal Guards. That would be amazing! 8- Quote
Led ZePPelin Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Minifig Venator/Blockade Runner/Trade Federation Battleship. *wub* Not a fan of UCS sets or another X-Wing. :-P Quote
Tarfful Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 (edited) Heres another idea, drumroll please, Star Wars Lego Chess! 1 or more Chess set(s) for every movie that way everybodies happy, unless of course you don't like minifigs. :-P X-D Ideas as follows: Ep. 1 Gungans/Naboo vs droids Ep. 2 Phase 1 clones vs. Genosians/ Genosian battle droids Ep. 3 212th Battalion vs CIS or 501st Legion vs. the Jedi or Kashyyk Troopers/Wookies vs CIS Ep. 4 Tantive 4 Rebels vs. normal Stormies Ep. 5 Hoth Rebels vs Snow Troopers Ep. 6 Endor Rebels vs. Scout Troopers General Tarful Edited February 4, 2008 by GeneralTarful Quote
Lt. Veers Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Well, from the way the poll is going, it's gonna be a Ground base/location. I would choose the Mos Eisley Cantina for an anniversiry set. The scene definatly defines Star Wars for what it is. Quote
JimBee Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 tarful, that seems amazing, i would buy the ep. 2 one! (or maybe just all of them!) ;-) X-D :-P Quote
SWMAN Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I was originally completely against PT sets, but now that I have read about Jedi Temple ideas, I think that that set would be really cool. Either that or a Yavin Temple Rebel Base. Quote
