darkhorse00 Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 (edited) What could a brick separator do other than separating Lego bricks? Make it into a Transport Terminal! Design: V-shape shelter design provide shade and shield Lego minifigures from rain, and yet provides sufficient clearance for the all Lego city trains and buses. 2-way train platform design allows for trains to travel in 2 directions. Playability: Transport Terminal provides flexibility in switching play between train or bus station. When the platform is removed, train structure turns into a bus station. They also can be connected with one another to form a longer train/bus station. This meets the need for a longer platform when multiple trains cars are connected. As illustrated in the pictures, several modules can be connected via 3 x connecting pins at black base frame and 2 x technic liftarm on the brick separators at the module ends. Hope this gives you some ideas on how to use up your brick separators. Everything is awesome! :) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/168723 Multiple modules can be connected together via connecting pins at train station struction frame Top are joined by technic liftarm piece when multiple modules are connected for longer platforms Top can be removed, and turns into a bus station. peedeejay Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Probably the best usage of brick seperators I've seen! :) Quote

makoy Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I always admire clever use of brick separators. Cheers! Quote
jus1973 Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Very clever. I had used them as roof trusses in a modular arcade, but this beats that hands down. Quote
Littleworlds Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 (edited) This is really brilliant and healthy unconventional. The orange works pretty well for a public-transport colour and with the clean design. Fenestra Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I love this! Great idea and due to the parts can probably be bricklinked pretty cheap! Quote
KlodsBrik Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 That´s probably the nicest use of the brick seperator I´ve ever seen. Also the fact that one can easily turn this into a bus station instead of an passenger terminal is genious and could brilliantly easy be an official LEGO set. Greatly excecuted as well, look´s awesome. Yeah love it ! KlodsBrik. Quote

NewTown Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) Would love to use this idea for a bus stop, problem is all my brick breakers have damaged ends ;) Plates stacked together in PAB cups wreak havoc on them... Edited February 27, 2017 by NewTown added more Quote

bigginsd Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 As everyone else has said, a clever simple design and great use of brick seperators. It would be interesting to see a large transport hub which integrates this Modular design. Just a stroke of genius, the sort of clean simple design that makes you wonder why nobody thought of using them in this way before. Quote

Yes me too, I really love how it works, but on a bigger scale, I'd have to see it again.. How about a train station with 2 Horizon Express, would you make it "just" longer or would you add more details? Many thanks again for sharing, looks great! Quote
Dakar A Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 I love the modularity between bus station and train station! Do you have a bus station 'docking point' build somewhere in your city that has a similar connection point to the train base? Quote
