Aaron Morse Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Hi all! Been away for a long long long time.. but back with a new project on the go. Quote
TheBeeze Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Wow looks huge! Where are you sourcing so much grey from? haha Interested in seeing how this goes! Quote
Aaron Morse Posted March 3, 2017 Author Posted March 3, 2017 Oh Ive been collecting for years and years. I've got massive amounts of Lego. Mostly from either private purchases or from Bricklink.com. I figure this will be about 19-20 feet long. 5 sections total. Bow section is pretty secure now. I moved it the floor and am working on the next section. (Mind you the first section isnt complete.... just its sides and the support structure.) Quote
drclark Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Looks like a great build in the making. Looking forward to frequent updates on your progress. Quote
BrickbyBrickTechnic Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 WOW! I can't wait to see the finished product. Quote
Aaron Morse Posted March 3, 2017 Author Posted March 3, 2017 Thanks all. Yup should be right around 1:40 scale. Quote
Only Sinner Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Wow man, this is quite impressive. Reminds me of this tv show I saw once where a guy built a kit car in his house and when he finished he found he couldn't get it out. Quote
Aaron Morse Posted March 5, 2017 Author Posted March 5, 2017 HA! And that why its being built in sections... if you look at the above pic. You can see there is a break between the completed first section and the incomplete 2nd. :) Quote
Criosphynx Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Epic! I don't have the space for something like this, so I will live vicariously through you if you don't mind :) Quote
Capn Frank Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 This is looking really awesome Aaron. Welcome back by-the-way. It seems a little less piratey that what you've worked on in the past. Do you plan to show this vessel at any Lego conventions? Quote
Sarles Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Great job! I can't wait to see how this progresses. I love the hull shape. Any way to get some close ups of the bow construction? Quote
Aaron Morse Posted January 8, 2019 Author Posted January 8, 2019 Progress continues... https://www.flickr.com/photos/31693825@N07/31521342107/ Quote
jimmynick Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 A 2-year bump! Excellent work, great detail. I'm in awe of its size - how large will it be when it's finished? How many pieces do you estimate will be in the completed model? Quote
Aaron Morse Posted January 9, 2019 Author Posted January 9, 2019 Just about 17 feet long.. about half my collection... 150,000 pieces?? Quote
