I thought the company's name was ZHEGAO.

They all are similar to each other. I recall there were at least 10 Black Pearl knock-offs being sold, each from a different company! :pir-oh:

Ohh, I have this ship!
But the previous version, with the LEGO type minifigures, not these monstrosities.

Does it have one and a half cannon?

I wonder if LEGO at some point will re-release Barracuda Bay as they have re-released Saturn V and Ship in a Bottle.

I know the set was out of stock multiple months before the official end of 2021, but it didn't say "sold out" during the time, but "temporarily" , weird.

I do have Barracuda Bay so I'm not concerned for myself but people could've missed out due to out-of-stock issues.

Closest to a new "Pirate" set in the near future is the 3-in-1 Viking Ship, and there's also that Castaway Island IDEAS contest that'll probably be a GWP at some point.

For now, 3-in-1 Pirate Ship still is sold as well but had a 20% price increase since 2022.

If they just decide to retire Barrcuda Bay set, I hope Lego would bring a new pirate theme back eventually. I have no interest in getting 3-in-1 Pirate Ship.

The set had an official end date of 31 December 2021, which was known, however was out of stock months before that date.

Perhaps they might, that is if they see fit to do it in order to earn a wee more income. :pir-grin:

I hope there will be something pirate-themed rather soon, I would be settled for something along the lines of Creator pirate rollercoaster.

It has 2 shooting cannons and 3 fake big joke brick build cannons.
I contacted the seller in Aliexpress and he sent me another 2 shooting cannons.
And I got rid of the brick build cannons.

By the way, if LEGO would release a bluecoat/redcoat with about the same dimensions and piece count of the ship we are talking about, I believe it will be a huge success saleswise.

I'm mostly a trains fan and have been waiting for over two decades for LEGO to release a new, decent train line-up... I got tired waiting and switched to bluebrixx. LEGO does not have any copyright on the 'system' (only on minifigs) and since LEGO has moved production away from Denmark/Europe, I don't see any difference between bluebrixx and LEGO. It's not like bluebrixx is stealing from LEGO, are they?

The biggest controversy with imitation brands was; they were stealing LEGO set designs and/or designs built by AFOL MOCers.

If Marco P. who is credited for the design of these Bluebrixx sets has granted approval, then they're not stealing.

Like you said, there is only a patent on the LEGO minifigure design. Furthermore, the LEGO Group was denied a patent on "SYSTEM" interconnectivity to ensure their products remained competitive and innovative.

Latest thoughts on Future Pirates Speculation:

I wanna see Iron Hook make an appearance in the Commemorative 90th Anniversary series of Collectible Minifigures.

That's all. We need more Iron Hook.

Could be an updated version of his classic look too; not necessarily aged up like Redbeard in Barracuda bay. It could be, while Redbeard lived a full and happy life, learning the real treasure was the friends he met along the way, Iron-Hook found the Fabled fountain of Youth, in his time fighting life and limb against the Islanders and the Imperial Armada, and he as a result became a more cruel and ruthless adversary... or something...

A modern figure of Iron Hood would be amazing to have! If you want to get into pirates lore, I would love to see Captain Krag (Redbeard's brother from the juniors pirates in 2004) as an official minifigure!

I love both of those ideas! An updated Iron Hook would be a very nice addition to POBB. Captain Kragg as a minifigure is something that never occurred to me until you said it, but now that you have mentioned it I can't help but think what a fantastic addition to the lineup this would be!

Castle are getting 2 sets this year and classic space 1, now I am starting to expect something for Pirates as well :pir-devil:

We definitely need a new Imperial Flagship and / or Imperial Fortress to go with the recent Pirates of Barracuda Bay.

Definitely, but I do not think they will give us something so big now, however a modern take on Sabre Island or Lagoon Lock-Up would be appreciated

There is no 90th anniveary set for Pirates theme, right? I know there will be a big one - Lion Queen’s Castle and also, there will be Forestmen Hideout GWP in June.

It seems too big you're right, especially since Lego seems to want to give their best shot on the two Castle sets. But we can always dream ! :-)

Little Pirates sets are welcome however !

Right, but a space reissue under the 10497 label will be released soon, so why not a pirate set insofar as this range is among the winners of the vote ?

3-in-1 Pirate Ship will have yet another price increase , to €130, likely similar in other regions as well. :pir-murder:

Whatever the reason?

Price increases on at least 100 sets after September

So I see, not that Lego has made enormous amount of profits during pandemic, oh well. :pir-cry_sad:

good thing that here I can still get them at 85 euro, I bought 3 even fo 63 and at the end of October for 50 another 2. So I'm good.

Another question tho! Does the super Mario air ship have plenty of good bricks for Mocs? As it is almost out of production..
