Batbrick Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Wow! Yoda's really into this, moving away from SW Yoda? X-D Anyway, I'm all for another midget theme for baddies, but ultimately a second human faction is what I want with a black and gold colour scheme! :'-) To the Bricksignal! >:-)
Pencoin Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 hehehe caps glitch. the 'map' ( the one with the elves) suggest they came from the shores area i belive that they came via boats ( as seen in the sets) and have gone inland seizeing the dwarf mine to make new weapons and attack vehicles ( battle wheel, etc). and have now reach the human settlements ( the tower, the small outpost thing in battle wheel) now they are shipping prisiners from 'castle island' to where ever they came from. the crownies have caugt wind of this and sent a knight ( the dragon rider dude) to prevent more form coming to 'castle island' and to rescue the prisiners. so it would seem there commanding force is from where ever they came from
iamded Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 (edited) Hey that would be sweet indeed !!new torso, mini legs and new helmet if any !! I love those orcs, so having midget versions would rock and even could pass as the same faction hehe !! We still have the problem of the orc/troll lack of leader ;-) *yoda* Yes, they could be a sub-faction of the Orks. Like, their slaves. X-D Although I'd see them with the same head as the goblins from the Harry Potter line, no? * Of course, they wouldn't have guns... X-D Grots ON! :-P *Credit to RelicWiki for the picture. ~Peace Edited March 11, 2008 by iamded
xwingyoda Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Wow! Yoda's really into this, moving away from SW Yoda? X-D Hell NO :-P I love that line thats for sure !! The "problem" is that I do have a collector's mind !! Therefore I love all lines that have an army building principle !! Right now I'm growing several armies: orcs, nazis and imperial troopers !! Anyway, I'm all for another midget theme for baddies, but ultimately a second human faction is what I want with a black and gold colour scheme! :'-) Humm, do we really need a second human faction ? Or are you suggesting a bad guys human faction ? In that case that would be good but what would be their incentive to ally with skellies and orcs ? We could have an army of dark missionaries under the orders of the necromancer though !! Something in the line of the Shadow Trooper: black armour with silver markings, hood, cape and only eyes (like our dear Jawas but in silver) and a new sword. Riding black horses with silver ornaments !! Something in the line of the Riders of the Apocalypse if you wish !! 4 horsemen On !! hehehe caps glitch. Ah okie, no probs ;-) Yes, they could be a sub-faction of the Orks. Like, their slaves. X-D Although I'd see them with the same head as the goblins from the Harry Potter line, no? Yeay that would be fun !! Midget weird creatures in sand green On !! *yoda*

Riding black horses with silver ornaments !! Yes, I meant as baddies, I forgot to mention that :-$ . I agree with you too, a nightmarish Black and silver faction would be great, perhaps with some other colours. I love your ideas though, especially the "only the eyes showing" one, they would look awesome and might not be totally human... To the Bricksignal! >:-)

Yeay I had in mind a sort of ripp off of LOTR's Ringwraith ;-) (which is a vision of the 4 horsemen anyway :-P ) Would really be easy to do as well !! Just need a new armor and helmet hehe. And yes take the Jawa face and replace that yellow colour with silver and you have a fantastic fig IMO ;-) *yoda*
Pencoin Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 sounds very ghost-y maybe cursed humans? silver eyes is good idea

Imagine them in a whole army! 8-
Vader Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 One thing i do hope is that lego don't try and give the elves some silly sea monster to fight, like they did with those vikings. Though the monsters were ok they lacked any lasting power, for me it's either evil elves or create some new enemy for them to fight. A few years back we had a rock monster, perhaps something like that again in fig form would work.

Pencoin Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 the castle sets have been lackin in the giant monsters department
Vader Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 the castle sets have been lackin in the giant monsters department I believe that's a good thing, lego could of just gone that route once again and by now this line would be on life support. By giving us different factions lego is keeping this line alive and healthy, that shows great forward thinking.
xwingyoda Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Yeay !! I am indeed positive that those Bionicle monsters were of of the downfall of that sweet viking line ;-) *yoda*
Pencoin Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 the smaller dragons on those didnt even have faces, it was definatley the cause of the death of vikings.
Mecheon Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 (edited) Bah, you people and your giant monster hate! Back when I saw the viking sets I wasn't attracted the random small vikings, the massive creatures attacking them is what took my attention! :P Come on giant sea serpent used by elves as a mount or something...! Edited March 11, 2008 by Mecheon
natelite Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 no more giant monsters. *n* *sing* *y* :-) to army building. more trolls, elves and dwarves please!! :-D maybe a balrog or two! X-D what i like to see are more crude contraptions from the trolls and crazy steampunkish ones from the dwarves. the elves should be more magical (light blue, light green), and the humans more refined weapons like ballista and catapults and swords, shields and armors. the undeads - darker magic (dark red, dark purple, dark orange).

I agree, the elves should have a more magical build type, and dwarves, hopefully going to be continued, should have more steampunk. I love that the trolls are plain pycho, I'm glad that TLC is giving us different styles for the factions. To the Bricksignal! >:-)
legomilk Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 Hello friends, I've read many of your ideas about Castle 2009. As many of you probably already guessed, we can expect about 7 new sets, among which a large castle. From what I heard it's not that much based on a Lord of the Rings like setting, but we'll just have to wait to see what this new line is all about.

From what I heard it's not that much based on a Lord of the Rings like setting, but we'll just have to wait to see what this new line is all about. it is so if you say so legomilk (you always bring the best news) so probably we will see a big elf castle!!! cant wait for this one!
xwingyoda Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Tks again Legomilk, bringer of happy news ;-) 7 sets !! That is sweet !! A big Castle is even sweeter 8-
WhiteFang Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 LEGOMILK: Thanks for your good news. At least, we are certain that there are elves in it :-D These happy news will defintely brighten up my Castle series ;-)
Vader Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Hmmmm new large castle? I wonder if it will be a elve one or orc one, i'm really hoping for a sweet orc one. Though as we have so many orc vehicles i doubt it somehow.
