OMG! This looks amazing. I think price-wise it will somewhat between 150€ and 170€ (germany).

I think the best thing about this set is it indicates that Classic Corner was a success and LEGO will be continuing the line. It was a little fear of mine that CC might not make the sales required to make LEGO continue their most creative by far, and only AFOL type, City sets.

So big thumbs up for this!

Any idea whether CC will soon be unavailable to order online? I never bought it yet but might this year. Any risk in waiting?

This GG seems to be very nice! I like the fact that TLC gives this GG another architecture and color than CC and MS!

I will buy it for sure! And I will try to downsize it of course!

For the people who think that there are some interior details, it seems to me that there are stickers on windows to figure those details, because some curtains, never seen in any lego sets (yes I know, there were some in scala sets :-| )

I don't think the curtains are stickers, more like the inverted dark red slopes atop ordinary dark red slopes. Still look good though.

There does seem to be something else red in the top left hand window.

I like the Viking tiles around the door - I've used that style in MOCs before - gives it a nice old-fashioned, ornate, carved feel.

Colourwise... I'm not a huge sand green fan and there does seem to be an awful lot of bley. I would have preferred dark green to be honest. The blue awning also looks a little out of place - too bright for the rest of the colour scheme.

Still, definitely a must-have but not revolutionary like CC was. A worthy addition to the modular houses line!

I, too, am glad that CC seems to have been a success. In the run-up to Christmas in Australia one of the major retailers was selling a whole lot of CCs directly to the public, which was a nice surprise as I thought it was a S@H exclusive. However even at 20% off they didn't seem to sell very well and after Xmas when pretty much all other Lego lines sold out, there were still an awful lot of CCs taking up shelf space. It's heartening to see the line continue.

I think the white & blue awning makes for a nice bit of contrast. Without some fresh colors, all the grey and green would've probably made the house look a bit dull, wouldn't you agree?

I guess. Maybe I would have used medium blue instead. But then, I also thought the yellow tiling on CC was slightly bright too!

Anyway, it is a great set and the back detail is very impressive. My only criticism of Market Street and CC is that there isn't really anything happening back there, so it's good to see the extra detail.

Nice to see they've designed the turret similar to the CC one as well for some visual continuity along the streetscape.

As simonwillems said, they're part of LEGO's modular building's line of sets, but there's no specific name for the theme.

However, Market Street comes from the "LEGO Factory" line, and Cafe Corner and Green Grocer are part of "Creator".

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum, got back into LEGO collecting back when Cafe Corner first came out, though I grew up on them. The new Green Grocer set looks fantastic, I cant wait to see it.

I wanted to throw in my two cents worth about Market Street, Cafe Corner and Green Grocer.

Looking at Green Grocer got me wondering "Well, is Market Street really "part" of this line?".

Where they're different:

Architectually, Green Grocer and Cafe Corner are the same, but Market Street doesn't quite fit the same style. Green Grocer and Cafe Corner are heavily old European, but Market Street seems to have a flair of other styles in it

As stated above, Market Street is part of the Lego Factory line, the others arent

Market Street doesn't fit with the now established alliterative naming (C.C., G.G.)

Cafe Corner (and assumadly Green Grocer) can be split apart at the floors, and you can add more floors, but are they truly "modular" like Market Street? Market Street you can rearrange the order of the floors, or stack them to make two seperate buildings. You can add floors to Cafe Corner, but ultimately the top level always has to be a top level, floor level always has to be a floor level, and the middle levels, however many you add, stay middle levels.

The side and back walls on Cafe Corner and Green Grocer are solidly colored. Market Street has different colored (and textured) bricks mixed in to the walls.

Where they're similar:

Compatible sidewalks (I can only assume Green Grocer will have that too)

Pegged to connect to one another

Of course, maybe it's just the obsessive compulsive disorder in me and I'm overthinking it. I dont know, I think that especially after Green Grocer is added in, Market Street is just different enough to be a little bit of distraction from the theme. Dont get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the Market Street set!

So, hope that didnt step on toes, I just thought it was interesting how these buildings are different, yet similar.

Go down any high street, lets say Canterbury for today as that's where I live, and there are a myriad of varying styles and architecture! I have a modular street layout with an ultra modern firestation stuck between CC and MS.

It's all in the eye of the beholder really...

Wow, I love that it comes with an interior. Ill definitely have to put an interior in my Cafe Corner set now. Ill probably snag some of Mel Krutzfeldt's LEGO Factory sets.

Wonder what is in the display cabinet inside the grocers? Looks like a good selection of food outside and inside apart from that too, apples, cherries, a number of bananas and carrots.

The hallway that the staircase is in at the ground floor looks nice with those tan and dark tan tiles. Also interesting to get some dark bley feathers (with pins not clips!) on the turret.

The building is of course a bit cramped inside, but it's reasonable for a model and can be amended if desired. I think they've done a good job on the interior layout considering the space available.

Wow, look at all that food! What an amazing set. And the interior is tiled, at least on the bottom floor. Very cool.

However ... I can't quite figure out what the top floor interior is supposed to be. There's a grandfather clock, and what appears to be a radiator. Is it just an apartment?

Those two doors used to make a freezer (like in a supermarket) are really cool!

And that radiator on the top floor *wub* Maybe there's a couch as well, can't see it properly...

This will affect the price though... But worth it.

The set was already at the top notch in my book, now I need to make room for more notches, because it just moved up a few notches more.

I didn't fully expect an interior, but was crossing my fingers for one. Not only does this have an interior, but what an interior! A grandfather-clock! A proper old-style radiator! Mailboxes! And a fully stocked grocery-store!

@ Joebot; yes, it's just an apartment. But that's not a bad thing, is it? :-P
