Holodoc Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 It is skeleton legs... but the "bar" is this Minifig mallet (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4522) which gives you the "star-like" details you mention. Hi Janey Red Brick and welcome to Eurobricks! *y* Do you know that it is the mallet or is it just a guess of yours? I can hardly discover what parts TLC used... 8-| Quote

Wow, if that's true, that is impressive. Both for having lots of hammers, and the nice detail. Quote

Matn Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Ha-ha. Fail @ Me. :-$ But it is great. And now on-topic to myself. Quote
Athos Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 And you both missed that Whung posted them two days ago :-| :-P That's what happens when we threads get are too long... ;-) I figured they had to have been posted already, but they weren't in the first post, so I thought maybe they'd been missed. Plus, I wanted to plug adventurers.dk. I'm kind of surprised they did an interior. Steve Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Plus, I wanted to plug adventurers.dk.Steve The truth comes out at last! I am extremely impressed with Lego making an interior too, and of such a high quality. I have to say I did not expect Lego to make such a wonderful job following up caf Quote
kill will Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Huh, cool set and all, but does it come with a baby for the carrige? 8- Quote
Dr. Brick Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I'm just writing this really fast before I go on holiday. Saw the Green Grocer in BeLUG club weekend today. Here's first pic: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AlMcBric...er/dsc01498.jpg Sorry for bad quality and upside down, but I don't have any time. More pics next week. Dr. Brick Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Thanks for the pics, but can someone for the love of pie shrink it a bit! 8- Quote

iamded Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Interesting that they used those Viking pieces around the door. What hair/hat is on the fig on the balcony? ~Peace Quote

iamded Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Looks like Umbrige's hair Ah, thanks. Didn't know the set had that in it. *y* ~Peace Quote
Brickadier General Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 It keeps looking better and better. The finished interior is a welcome surprise too. Quote
Matn Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 (edited) It's an awesome set! I build the second (middle) part of the building. But as you can see the upper windows are wrong placed (that's because the builder of the upper part wanted to fast-build...). It's a fantastic set and I think it is perfect, the stares on the back are also an awesome feature. Can't wait to buy it! @kill will: there isn't a baby inside the buggy, it is made of 4 'cheesy' pieces. Edited February 3, 2008 by Matn Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 (edited) It's very nice to see that TLG included a so lovely interior in this set - I especially like the big brown granfather clock! But nevertheless I surely won't buy this set because my opinion is that it doesn't go with the other "normal" City sets and - the main reason - because I haven't got enough money. I already bought the most brilliant Lego set ever - 10188 Town Plan - and I'm looking forward to buy the post plane, the post van, the cargo truck with forklift and some of these excellent CG sets - and that'll be it for this year. Nevertheless I'm hoping that - I already mentioned - TLG will release some sets similar to this one in "normal" City style and price! :-/ Edited February 3, 2008 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
yellost Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 (edited) I took a few more pics of the thing. It really is a beauty. But there's no furniture in the middel floor, though... here they are... The last one I tried to get the interior of the Threshold but it didn't quite focus on the right part (sorry, I'm a really bad photographer...) But it's really nice, it's got the entrance to the stairs to go to the upper levels and on the inside right wall there are some letterboxes. Oh, and the whole folder whan moderated Edited February 3, 2008 by yellost Quote
ExoBuilder Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Thanks for the awesome pics Yellost! This is one of the most detailed sets I've seen TLC produce, I"m definitely going to try and get this. *sweet* Quote
salty tbone Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 The more pics I'm seeing, the more I'm loving this set. When I saw the parts list mentioned earlier in this thread, I was wondering how harpoon guns would be used. I never thought they'd make nice fire-escape railings. :-) Perfect if you're escaping a fire and need to fend off sharks at the same time. There's so many details to this set. The second-floor curtains, baby stroller, radiator, the roof. I'll gladly eat ramen noodles for a month just to afford this set. *sweet* Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I really didn't want to start buying these large city buildings (Cafe Corner, etc.), but after seeing the terrific details of this set, I just may order this (when available) and the others. This is the best yet. The details are outstanding! *y* Thanks for sharing these early images. Quote
