Posted March 19, 20177 yr Hello, this is my first post here! I just became a Lego fan about 1 year ago. Below are some pictures of my Lego cars, whose main philosphy is: 1- be 6-stud wide 2- seat at least 2 minifigs side by side 3- have everything opening: doors, trunk, hood 4-trunk should be big enough to contain at least one 1x2 brick 5- realistic styling that resembles actual production vehicles I'll only post a few per post, so come back for more after a few days! I have some 14 cars worth posting here. 01 - white & orange station wagon - oldest surviving car in my fleet 02 - Holiday home with other cars More to come!
March 22, 20177 yr Author I'm very slow to post pics these days, I'll slowly post new pics Yellow notchback that I just completed minutes ago! Black luxury sports sedan (I like to call it Maseratti Quattroporte) Edited March 22, 20177 yr by mopc
March 22, 20177 yr Author Orange sedan Green sedan with gray doors (Lego does not make these doors in green)
March 26, 20177 yr Author Better look at Red Sedan Older version Green sedan parted out - circa 150 parts Edited March 26, 20177 yr by mopc
April 5, 20177 yr I like the growing skill and level of your crafts. The only wish is to reduce the height of the machines a little to approximate the vehicles mini-figures.
April 21, 20177 yr Author Yes, that was my idea too, but it's not easy to achieve. The smaller wheels are too small. There is one perfect size wheel for these cars, but they are thick pin wheels, would require different axle holder. Inside the car the minifigs look perfectly proportionate.
October 3, 20177 yr Author I've updated the white fastback of the last post, I've reduced it's height, I'll post later
November 10, 20177 yr Author I have many more to post, I just need the time to take the proper pictures! It'll be worth the wait
November 17, 20177 yr Author I lowered the white Citroen CX fastback and changed its headlights New black sedan & red large station wagon/estate Yellow notchback with new lowered front, I found it very stylish! And the hood still opens I copied this front in the small blue hatchback, it didn't look bad either
November 17, 20177 yr That's quite a collection you built there. Next you'll need an assembly line and parking lot to stall them all.
November 29, 20177 yr Author Prototype of a larger-scale white sedan with full-opening features, my first foray into larger scale. This model is 10 studs wide.
December 8, 20177 yr Author I don't know, I was just trying to do something "large scale" with whatever parts I had, I suppose it turned out to be a large American-style 70's sedan I increased its height by one plate and the rear by two plates, and made a better roof for this 10-wide 30-long white family four-door all-opening sedan/salloon car "vinyl roof" style: and I changed the rear optic mask as well, with a two-wide verticalized bumper:
December 9, 20177 yr Author Tinkering with the front of the new 10-wide family sedan Quite complex SNOT there I didn't hate this front mask either: Another: But I'm not happy with any of the fronts, I guess I'm coming back to the original
December 16, 20177 yr Author I have lengthened the front by 1 stud and made a new front mask And a new modern European four-door red fastback / hatchback coupé for family and sports use (crude model, several parts missing/ wrong color)
