It is not the right place to ask, but I will give you a question answer

Basically diagonal gives you 53L instead of 45L giving your bot a bigger advantage.  You can fit more in the same space.

Thanks, I'll move the discussion to the contest topic. On topic of your bot, I think it should be within the rules if it fits the box and hopefully it's not too much work to make it fit if it turns out it isn't allowed.

I will post pictures later, but the spinner fits perfectly within the 45L constraint. I am on my phone now, but once I am on my computer I can post some better pictures showing size

Here is the picture:

The blue measuring tool is 45L on the inside, where I am measuring from is the furthest distance from point to point.  Exactly 45L long, could not have planned that better.  Also, the bot is 22L tall with the tracks attached.  I have added some reinforcements.  It is almost done.  I just have to make a good video now, it needs to be much better than the past couple videos I have posted.

What have you guys thought of the past videos?

After doing some reinforcing on the arms, I decided to test out what kind of damaged this thing can do....

I was planning on building a simple brick built wall and to to break through it.  Built the wall, started up the bot, trying hitting the wall..... wall flew out of my hand, bot hit a full water bottle and dumped over my soda can that I just opened.  The bot made a mess on my building table.

So, after cleaning up bricks and finding my water bottle half away across the room.  I figured I would put my bot up against an empty aluminum can since in emptied half of it for me...

The Sbrick app wont let me have 2 apps running at once, so I could not record the action this time, but I have before and after pictures...

You are my hero, honestly. At the time you posted your WIP, my Son of Whyachi was already built and waiting for the photo shoot, which came much later on.
I soon realized your version will be much better than mine, but that's ok, I learned a a lot from your ideas. As I had no time to build another. I decided to participate anyway.

Grats, your bot is way more powerful and destructive, I wish you good luck is in this amazing competition :)

@Appie

Sorry for not posting right away, I finally got the chance to take some pictures of the bot fitting inside the size constraint legally.
