What would I be able to do if I had some Fabuland merchandise that I wanted to give away for free but to someone who could come up with the funniest caption to a Fabuland picture?

Is there a rule against holding your own competition in order to give something to a Fabuland fanatic for free?

EDIT:

What should I do if I want to donate some prizes for Eurobricks to do with as they please?

Namely, the 7 Creator and Racer sets from the recent Daily Mirror giveaway

OK admin's and MOD's.

There are a few of us in this topic that would like to do a contest of Ahsoka's fate.

I know you Guy's must have a busy schedule and everything, but we would really like this contest idea to go ahead.

And i know a few of you admin's hate ahsoka - so you can enter with what you think should happen too

If you guy's can PM me or somthing. There are a few people who really want this contest to go ahead so please get in contact

I also think this is a great opportunitty for members to benifit their own communitty with helping ect and therefor should not be frowned upon :classic:

Sigh, Legoman is so right, but KimT says the ahsoka contest is too much like the kill jar jar one. But KimT is just one admin. please let us have our contest! :sing:

Well what did you tell him?

This is NOT a kill ahsoka contest (anymore  )

Here's the original layout from the original contest thread by yoda.

theme of competition : Ahsoka's fate

format - vig or something different : Vig, Comic, & large build

length of competition : doesn't matter/undecided

forum where its going to take place : The empires awakening

please specify the different categories if any AND the prize allocation to each:

Best Death - Prize?

Best Comical fate - Prize?

Most Epic fate - Prize, 8015 Droid BP - Donated by Natman4000

Most Likely fate - Prize, 8014 Clone BP - Donated by legoman

Best over-all Fate - Prize, Ahsoka Jedi Star Fighter - Donated by Zepher

what prizes are offered (bearing in mind that we won't give titles for every competition ): 8014 Clone BP, 8015 Droid BP, Ahsokas Jedi Star Fighter + other prizes yet to be sorted out.

Sigh!

Please read my pm again.

And you hinting at going over my head is a really bad move.

Keep acting like this and you can expect to end in a dark place...

Perhaps a "Kill Natman"-contest would be suitable

EDIT: And you did go over my head... not good for what could have been a mutual understanding of this.

Dark Helmet - You went over my helmet?

Radio Operator - It's not exactly over sir. It's more to the side, but I'll always call you first, it will never happen again, ...

!

Go Dark KimT

Well although they do not make anymore hp sets these days we could have a hp contest when the 6th film comes out.

There could be a few catergries including: Single room, single floor, section of the castle, grounds and a full build where you build the whole place.

This would be great and I think that a lot of people would enter.

Well, I was thinking of having a contest for the Star Wars category. It could be called, "Create your own custom minifig."

Rules

1) The contestants would have to create one single Star Wars minifig that they would like. Ex, you would paint it, glue on cool things, and the most important thing is have fun doing it! :pir-laugh:

2) It does not have to be a Star Wars character from the movies; it just has to be related to Star Wars in general. Ex, I made a custom sith clone troopers.

3) You obviously can't just get a picture from the internet of any custom Star Wars minifig because that is just not fair and cheating of course.

Supplies that you need if you don't already have them

1) I really small paint brush and a normal paint brush.

2) Different colors of acrylic paint that you would like.

3) Some different colors of spray paint if you wanted to get them.

4) Some crazy glue for gluing on different things onto your minifig.

5) A carpenter’s knife if you want to get.

I would think this contest would run for about a month or more to give the members a chance to create there custom minifigs. Also, any amount of members can enter this contest; new members can't enter the contest if they have joined after the contest has started.

I hope you like my idea!

What about a BIONICLE contest?

Seriously though, it could be quite a neat way to find out just how many BIONICLE dislikers actually have a couple of such sets lying around in their house couldn't it?

Even though the Pirate Forum is having a contest at the moment we should have a Redcoats VS Bluecoats contest,With stuff like Large, Medium and Small divisions ,similar to "Pillage The Village".

I like the idea of a city vehicle contest. There could be various different categories including:

Construction

Civilian

Emergency

Commercial

And they could all have a small, medium and large division.

I'm always up for city/town vehicles, but I feel the contest would have to be a bit more focused than just "vehicles." The previous idea of emergency vehicles is good, or we could go with civilian, or something along those lines - subtheme-based.

Or, perhaps a particular size requirement? I'd love to see what people would come up with if the requirement was road vehicles in odd stud widths only. 3-wide, 5-wide, 7-wide, or even 9-wide if you're feeling crazy? Limit it to minifig scale, of course... I think this has potential!

these are two ideas i had and posted... before finding out i couldent start a comp... :cry_sad:

1: hi everyone!

this competition is for halo.

the idea is to make a character from the game, a weapon and a small and medium vehicle or a large vehicle... then you have to put them into a moc( you can use brickarms/brick forge for this) we will then put up a voting system for people to vote for there favourite entries on the 31st of may (it starts today...)

the rules are as follows

1. you may not use other peoples designs(that includes brick arms/brick forge. you may only use these in you final moc/scene) this includes decals. that is why it is called a my own creation.

2. every thing you enter must be mini figure scale.

3. have fun

i will be making a banner soon... so keep an eye out

ok? any questions just ask me.

good luck and speak soon

Teleri XD

2: i thought that it was about time there was a exo-foce competition... so if anyone wants to enter just post pictures of you exo-force mechs here.

we will then put up a voting system for people to vote for there favourite entries on the 31st of may (it starts today...)

there are three category's for you to enter.

small

like the small ryo sets

and big

self explanatory really

themed

the only rules are

1. you must have made it your self.

2. it must contain the same base structure as the ones you could buy.

3.you must have fun

4. there is no limit to how many entries...

5. you can base your entries on a film/book/other theme if you want but post that as catagory 3(no mater the size)

so there's the rules (any questions post em here)

i will be making a banner soon... so keep an eye out

good luck all

speak soon

Teleri XD

:

so... there they are...

speak soon

Teleri :cry_sad: XD

How about this for a contest:

EuroBricks Forum Challenge!

Contestants must pick an area of the Forum (i.e. Licensed) and create an Entry of that forum.

So for the example you could have an entry with Batman, Speed Racer, Indy and Spidey all doing something, and/or being filmed by a camera crew.

Or for Star Wars you could have Vader, Rotta and Jar-Jar doing something.

You could also do something slightly different, for Sub-Forums.

Like, you could enter for the Community, and build a MOC for that, but then build one for, say, the Hello My Name Is... sub-forum, too.

Its an interesting and slightly odd concept I know, but it would really bring the EB Community together, and be lots of fun.

Prizes could be a little tag, and maybe, as a prize, the Forum Leaders sig-fig for whom the winner entered in (bought off BrickLink of course, you wouldn't need to sacrifice your own sig-figs, staff )

Just my little idea...

Wouldn't it be a nice idea to - in due time - hold a second classic town contest where the aim is to 'modernize' a classic town set? You would really have to capture the spirit of the original (same color scheme, number of minifigs, included accessories, etc.) and you wouldn't be allowed to use discontinued parts, so that it could be realistically released by LEGO in 2011  There could be several categories (small and large vehicles, small and large buildings, etc.)... you could even be required to build an alternative model for the back of the imaginary box; another characteristic that made the classic town sets so great.

I'd just like to repost Rick77's wonderful idea here, so that whoever decides which contest to run, can see it here.

Here is one of my ideas. Weather a set or part of a set. What you do is get any Lego set(can be more specific if wanted) and wether it. You can add rust, damage, foliage, little critters that use the weathered set as thier home, etc. I was inspired to do this when I saw a entry posted on EB for the weather a train/box car contest on another site. ( I don't know where the entry is or what site's contest it was for) It can be for any theme wated by mods and admins. Please consider my idea.

Thanks,

What if everyone had to try this to the same set, and there could be multiple categories for different sets?
