Is the barrista that popular? I never would have thought.

I didn't know he's that popular also... but I guess it's like asking who likes coffee.

Lol what's so strange?
Actually, I don't want to offend anyone, but it's however something that no adult would ever want a child to drink, and something that you shouldn't drink too much, and something that you have to put a lot of water and sugar in it to alter the taste... and something that people who follow healthy diets avoid.

I don't blame whoever drinks coffee, after all my 2c it's that it becomes more an habit than a real thirst matter. Whatever. :D

I'm just a Larry fan. I could do without coffee. I'm more of a tea person. Larry's just a dapper fellow.

I drank coffee when I was a child, and I turned out fine (I think?).

I like the saxophone player, revolutionary war soldier and Larry the Barista. I despise tea and coffee but because my Lego hobby is about superheros and the city they protect I voted for Larry. He's also the most famous barista in my Lego city having starred in The Lego Movie.

I love Daisy Duck, but I love the Revolutionary Soldier even more so he got my vote. He's in the Top 10 of my list of older minifigures I still need to get.

I never imagined I would see the day when someone would call a S10 minifig one of "older minifigures". Kinda makes me feel old.

Dang, I voted for revolutionary soldier but after seeing that tangent rant I wish I could change the vote to the barista.

As far as the popularity, he was one of the funnier ancillary characters in the movie. "Here you go, thats thirty seven dollars". Given the fact the whole character is mocking certain aspects of the coffee industry its surprising that someone who doesn't like coffee doesn't appreciate the not-so-subtle coffee industry ridicule.

"Here you go. That’s $37.

Some baristas have practiced for years to prepare their own magnificent blend of coffee, but not Larry! Like the other citizens of Bricksburg, he does everything by the rules, and that means that each cup is brewed and served in exactly the same way: precisely by the instructions.

Larry is famous for making the most average – and expensive – coffee in the city, which is just the way the citizens of Bricksburg like it. That’s because buying overpriced coffee on the way to work every morning is in the instructions, too!" http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Larry_the_Barista

Yes I don't like coffee, but I don't vote up to dislikes, but up on likes. :)

REVOLUTIONARY SOLDIER WINS

There was no offense meant in my comment. To clarify, after being reminded of what Larry the baristas character was portraying in The Lego Movie I was reminded of why I liked him; because he's making fun of overpriced coffee, the psychological addiction effect that coffee has and people's extreme desire for and often crazy behavior if they don't have their required dosage.

I'm neither side, I enjoy coffee but am not a fan of many aspects of it. So I'd be voting for him as a nod to what the TLM writers were trying to say with his character.

I agree on most of what you said, but I liked the Revolutionary Soldier more, and usually my picks are not in the winning side so I was happy.

Anyway, poor Larry..... he was leading the poll and then............ he was cursed
