Robert8 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Either Kingdoms Joust or Medieval Market Village. Quote
Trogdor Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 First set to have plant parts!!, first set to have rock work with the sloping old school hinge piece, brought us brick built trees. This one really foreshadowed much of the interesting MOC's that we now see and take for granted that you can build trees using "Plant Leaves 6 x 5". Where would we be without it? For me this set was a driving factor in my love of lego, and helped bring me back. There are a lot of great castles and who doesn't appreciate MMV, but the versatility, originality, uniqueness this one brought us stands out for me as the hands down best castle set. Quote
Hive Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 6066 is a beauty indeed, sadly I never got anything Forestman but those in figure packs. I would love to see a Forestman comeback. Quote

And it was definitely the set I got the most mileage out of. There was so much quality content in it: Lots of minifigs, 4 horses, a great castle, and a few unexpected treats. Quote
Murrig Icehammer Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 One of my first sets was 6040: Blacksmith Shop and i still feel a little bit like a child everytime i see it. But according to the OP question i have to agree with most ppl. here 7189: Mill Village Raid and 10193: Medieval Market Village are both really good. I don't know if it counts as Castle but i also really liked 7036: Dwarves' Mine which was really neat in its own way. (I still LOVE fantasy era stuff the most.) Quote
kyreii Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Really, the Medieval Market Village stands out. :D Quote
