itoero Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 (edited) Has it been tried to use 4 xl motors in one car? (2 battery boxes) When you make a semi monster truck with six wheels, on which wheels should I put the motors? Edited March 29, 2017 by itoero Quote
Sylvian Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 I Believe Zblj made an 8x8 with 8xl motors (one for each wheel) and it could pull a car. Quote
technic_addict Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Bruno had 4 XL's in his BMW as well. Quote
Lego2016Lego Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Maybe you guys can post the ones you find so he can see how they made and reinforced the cars. Quote
itoero Posted March 30, 2017 Author Posted March 30, 2017 If I have 4 xl's in a car, do I have to use two 8884 receivers or can I take one 8884 and one v2? Quote
aminnich Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 The short answer, yes you can It would be better to have more than one battery box though Quote

I use three IR (not V2) receivers in the BMW to drive 4 XL motors and a servo. Two XL's on each channel of two IR's and the servo and lights on a separate IR. The car cuts-out at times. When I used two V2 IR's for the 4 XL's there was no issues. Quote

itoero Posted March 31, 2017 Author Posted March 31, 2017 Ok, so when you use different receivers, it doesn't change the properties of XL's? They are still compatible? Quote
Thorsten50 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 (edited) Yes they are all 100% compatibel. Even with the SBrick. Only the motors sice's are different in speed and force (XL L and M). It depends on how difficult the model is and how fast it should be or how strong Edited March 31, 2017 by Thorsten50 Quote
itoero Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 What would you choose? A used V2 or a new V1 ? Quote
Thorsten50 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 The V2 should consume less energy. I do not know if that's right. Quote
