Im not talking about Luke, I agree with you on that statement. I'm just talking about the sets that come out before the film in general.

Oh I see. I am sure we will have to come back to discuss that when we finally see the sets. :)

I'm wondering if we'll be seeing any Porgs in the Ach-To set now... unfortunately, at this point, I wouldn't be too surprised if they stayed exclusive to 75192. That said, I'm still holding out for this one.

Maybe they may use the same design, but have different facial prints, thus still keeping them exclusive to 75192.

Lego haa done mean things before, but i doubt they would keep lego porgs out of the hands of children, the target demographic, who about 90% off won't be getting a 800$ falcon

Plus, the old luke figure is for us, the afols and tfols who grew up with luke, the kids may only want the set if porgs are included

It is based on the First Order.

Wait, what? That'd already be the third FO based battlepack  Are there really enough new trooper types to support that? Of course there's the Executioner, but beyond that? I mean even the last one barely offered anything new (apart from those awesome shields and the dark blue officer). To be fair though, a Resistance based BP probably wouldn't fare much better given the variety of troops and pilots we have already gotten and are about to get

I don't think variety matters much when it comes to imperial and first order packs. Asking as there's some storm troopers to army build they'll get bought.

i imagine this set will feature a executioner trooper, a snow trooper or two (as they are on crait in the trailer) and a regular storm trooper or an officer

People paying £30+ for a Porg on eBay at the moment (yes, that is actually happening) are really gonna regret that decision I think.

Honestly, I think had Lego made Luke's robes tan, than it would have looked just as inaccurate. I just don't think Lego currently produces a color that fits Luke's robe color. It's tannish, but not as tan as the Lego tan. It's whittish, but not as white as Lego white. The color of Luke's robes sort of sits between those two color choices, so no decision the designer made was going to be completely accurate. Even the higher quality action figures of this Luke variant are all over the place on color, it just seems to be a hard color to match in plastic. I think in a lot of ways this costume has the same color issues as the ANH Luke.

That being said, out of the two color choices, I'll gladly take white over tan. There's an unending amount to of tan Jedi robes floating around already, at least the white stands out amongst a sea of beige.

I can see the Ahch-To Training set including Rey, Luke and either 2 Porgs or R2-D2 (or both!). Probably not Chewie because he'll be in the Microfighter falcon.

And the porgs will probably be another color to keep the Falcon ones exclusive.

Um... What? You really think they’d make a set on Ach-to without Luke? Lego aren’t making these sets purely for us. I’m sure kids would want the set with or without Porgs.

Sorry, i wasn't clear, i meant that most of the kids i know really don't care about the older characters, but they love rey and porgs, i meant that lego may sell the set better with a porg or two, i expected the set to be a lot more $$ because the sequel trilogy just isn't about the og characters as much as we would hope, so i thought this set would be more for the older fans, but who knows?

That makes more sense.

Honestly, I hope we can some Battlefront 2 sets sometime as well.

I would love a Clone Trooper battle pack based on Battlefront 2 with a figure based on each class (Assault, Heavy, Specialist, and Officer). That would probably sell really well too.

I would buy half a dozen for sure...  Like I do with every clone battlepack.

Out of curiosity, is 75204 Sandspeeder supposed to be a retail exclusive or a D2C set? Do we have any credible intel on that one?

Good to have that reminder; I had forgotten that it wasn't in the general catalog. Hmm... a set that small would never be D2C, right?

Given that it's supposedly just a recolored Snowspeeder, isn't from TLJ or Solo, and isn't in the general catalog, it's most likely the Walmart exclusive, which is typically the smallest (and least desirable, imho) of the three exclusives each year.

@Stash2Sixx Besides the ones that we know of, will we be getting any normal waves of sets based on past movies, or really just a second Last Jedi wave (with Grievous and Tatooine) and the Solo wave (with Yoda's Hut and the Jedi/Clone Battlepack)?

What do you mean?

I can guarantee to you that we'll only be getting the two aforementioned waves before the summer, and I don't need any confidential knowledge to give you that heads-up. If you are asking about the summer, then that's a good question.

Also, you might have been forgetting the sandspeeder. :)

I'd honestly rather they make small molded single-piece animal figures instead, the ones that come in the UCS MF look pretty terrible imo, just way too fat and way too large.

Mace Windu has interesting leg print which makes him look like he's wearing boots. I appreciate TLG using a poorman's version of dual molding. Hopefully there's more to comment on when more pics emerge.

@GryffindorResistance and all...

Honestly, I do not know that much about 2018.  My sources within the company are drying up.  Honestly, that's ok.  I like the surprise.  That being said, if any info trickles down my way, I'll be sure to post it for everyone else.

well, don't take me wrong, but its fine that the sources within the company are disappearing as exact info is much more better than all the rumors imao

He does look good - too good! I've been steering clear of prequel sets, but the wealth of new Jedi heading our way is very tempting. This will also mean I need to go back and pick up luminara, quinlan and Aayla to complete the collection!

Also, the new astromech from the battlepack seems a bit strange with the mismatched colours. Will be checking of he relates to anything on screen.

Edit: quick Google reveals he's R3-T2. He'll be back!
